Totally new to the boards and have some questions about getting into Be Our Guest. We just booked for the beginning of November so were unable to take advantage of the full 180 day ADR window. We are technically a party of 4: me, my husband, our 4 year old, and our 1.5 year old. I was able to get 2 reservations for parties of 1, 10 minutes apart from each other on my preferred day, around 11 am. I also got a reservation for 1 at 8:00 am. My questions are:

If we show up on the day of with our kids do you think they will turn us away? Even if we're not getting the kids their own meals?

If we keep the 8:00 am reservation would they let our whole party in before rope drop even though only one of us is on the reservation?

I'm going to keep looking for a better reservation that will guarantee all four of us, but if I can't find one before the day of which time do you think is more likely to be successful for walk up availability? I don't want to get charged a "no-show" fee for two sets of reservations and would like to release one.

We're planning a pretty laid back trip so what time we get in isn't as important to me as getting in on the preferred day.

Thank you so much in advance!

They will only let in the number of people on the pre-park ADR so if it is only for one person, then that is all they will allow in. As for the lunch reservations, you will need to secure one for either 4 people or 2 ressies for 2 people each. They will turn you away because they do all reservations based on numbers and most likely, would not even have available seats for your kiddos. I wouldn't give up hope on getting the reservation you want. You still have awhile before your trip and people cancel constantly and a lot cancel the week of, so make sure to check then too. I've never done lunch at BOG but we've done breakfast and dinner and enjoyed both of them. Good luck!!!

It's likely, but they may allow it. I certainly wouldn't try it if it were my family.

Nope

Walkups are *almost* non-existent at BoG.

You can't do that. They'll typically forgive the numbers being one off (and sometimes this causes you an extra wait) because everyone knows that things happen & sometimes an extra guest comes with or someone couldn't make the trip, but you can't show up for a 1 or 2 person reservation with your whole family. That's brazenly cheating the reservation system to get hard-to-get reservations, and the cast members know it. If everyone did that, the seating process at the restaurants would be put in disarray.

Apologies! The whole concept of making reservations for counter service is rather foreign to me and where we wouldn't be ordering for the baby it felt like we would only be adding one to the reservation.

Hoping to go again when the baby is four so it's not the end of the world if we don't get in, but I'm a huge Disney fan and would really love to see the restaurant because it sounds amazing! Any tips for the best time of day to search for reservations? I heard that sometimes a lot of people cancel at the 60 day mark is it worth it to keep searching between now and then or should I just wait?

No worries. Click on "breakfast" or "lunch" or "dinner" rather than specific times. That will help. Also use Touring Plans reservation finder service. They'll text you if an opening you want becomes available, so you'd have a chance to try and book it on the Disney website.

It took me a week of checking several times a day before I finally managed a BOG ADR for 4. You've got plenty of time. I used TP, although I couldn't get a text from them and wound up finding the slot on my own without realizing they found it too.

And I've heard a lot of slots open up in the few days before, when people are canceling to avoid the no show fee.

Keep checking for ressie for 4. I've never had a problem getting a reservation for hard-to-get restaurants 24hrs in advance. People cancel.
