August 2 2025, DVC member Cruise on the Dream!

Yes to MS.

Organizing a Meet-up is permitted, at least I think so as I’ve seen several posts about them over the years. @bobbiwoz has organized a breakfast meet-up at times, in the sit-down restaurant open for breakfast. I don’t know that we’ve ever had someone be able to get a cabana, af least not that I’ve seen, but that could be another option.
I’m rarely awake early enough for sit down breakfasts but if it’s a late breakfast I’ll try to make it. 🙈 There used to be an event space you could reserve in the funnel of the Dream but I think it got replaced by a suite? There might be others as well.
And I’m so jealous you’ve been to all 12 parks! I’ve only been to 8 of them…and someday I will get to the others but I don’t know when.
I’m trying to guess based on number, I’m thinking the U.S. and DLP/TDR? If you haven’t done the Asia parks yet, maybe you can combine them together with a Disney Adventure sailing. 😍 We are hoping to hit TDR and HKDL this winter as bookends of a Singapore cruise.
You will love your first MC! So much fun and different with the special talent and gifts and happenings. You’ll get something with the initial schedule usually when you check in so you can start perusing and planning, but keep watch in the Navigator as things can be added or changed. There should also be a special MC Disney Files magazine in your room, with more info about each session as well as the guests, to help you decide…or prioritize as you can’t always do everything,
This made me extremely excited and also a bit stressed. My husband doesn’t love doing Disney cruises because he thinks all of the activities crowds make the trip itself less relaxing and I’ve been paring back on activities on our recent sailings (only a couple trivia a day!) — but I think for this cruise we just need to reset expectations that it’s going to be busy with a ton of crowded activities. We can have a (relatively) chill few days at WDW after. 🤣

A couple of questions for member cruise veterans:
1) what times are “safest” to book Remy and spa appointments?
2) are there member cruise special events on the island(s) or on the ships during the port days?

Yes, I think I read that the Dream added a funnel suite with the recent dryeock,

The two Tokyo parks along with the six US parks. The two DLP parks are likely to be next, but who knows. You’ve got a good plan with Singapore!!

I’m not the best example for your DH, as I try to cram in as much of the special content as possible. :donald:
But, the nice thing is you can do as little or as much as you’d like. And yes, most everything will be or feel crowded. They also have special programming most evenings in the WD Theatre; anything with the Disney on Broadway folks is always amazing. And late night for adults in one or two of the lounges. I can’t find my booklet from the MC last summer, and a couple of others are so marked up you’d not be able to read them. But, here are some pics of the sea days schedule from the 2023 Alaska MC so you can get a bit of an idea. Some things repeat, some are once only, and some are 3 or 4 times.

1- that is really hard to say, as we don’t know programming until we get on board. The days are pretty full, as you can see. Maybe embarkation day for spa? As there’s usually not anything until after dinner. Or, book once you get on board? Maybe others will weigh in on this one. I’d booked brunch on our glacier day, thinking I was safe to do so, and then they had programming and I had to miss something I really would have liked to attend. But others are not as obsessed as I am with trying to do as much as possible! If you do Remy for dinner, you won’t miss anything if you can still make one of the WDT shows. For sure don’t miss the final night WD Theatre program as it is always something special.

2- when we had the four night on the Wish, there was some MC programs on the Island in the morning, fun game type things nothing with a formal presentation.
On port days, there will always be evening programs and sometimes a morning or late afternoon depending on the times we are in port.

Thank you so much for all the extra information— I’m a maximizer and try to do as much as possible, but thinking I’ll try to set moderate goals (e.g. make it to Disney on Broadway stuff, do at least on special activity a day) and try to stop myself from going overboard (figuratively!). Yet in my head I already hear the song “Try Everything” propelling me to do it all. 🤣

Maybe I’ll meet some DVC friends here to do some activities with while DH chills on our balcony.

Sharing about a past MC experience to give an idea of some of the really exclusive things we get to see, since I’m seeing commercials which are bring back memories - there is a new Disney plus Pixar series just out this month, Win or Lose, about a kids’ softball team. Two MC ago, so go back about 18 months, we had some of the Pixar Win or Lose creative team on board with a presentation that including seeing two episodes in development at the time. One is not yet available on Disney plus. That was really an advance screening!!

We have our VB contract up for sale, so we had to cancel our VB stay prior to the cruise. Unfortunately, no OVIR were available. So, we will just fly into Ft Lauderdale and take a shuttle from our hotel.

Since I am recovering from my HIPEC surgery and things are going well, I decided to see how many days away we are!

This is our first cruise as Platinum CC members— I need to start figuring out activity bookings.

Is anybody on this board concierge or pearl and willing to share advance booking options when they come out?
