I have a feeling the VIP specifically requested a VGF Grand villa.Let's assume the room went to a VIP. Pretty sure every other comparable option would also be booked with VIPs.

Has anyone had a similar issue where Disney told them not to post further about it once resolved? Seems unlikely to me, but I've never been in the same situation. My guess is without a response that this issue was escalated and whatever the result of that was...whether satisfactory or otherwise...there was advice to not post further on these boards
If they decided to pursue legal action then for sure. The other way around? Also possible. Everyone knows everything. This board is not isolated from those in the Disney circles. I had mentioned previously that when I was airing my grievances about a reseller they asked if I would let the board know when they rectified my situation. I'm just guessing though. It could be the trip worked out after all but it doesn't seem like OP was headed in the non confrontational direction from their posts. Hopefully it worked out for all guests that booked the proper way.Has anyone had a similar issue where Disney told them not to post further about it once resolved? Not a room availability issue, but yes. From personal experience I can vouch that Disney has at times requested that compensation not be broadcast online. In my case it was not a requirement, just a simple polite request. Which is why I'm not going into the details. But it does happen, and honestly I completely understand why, social media being what it is.Has anyone had a similar issue where Disney told them not to post further about it once resolved? I just want to know if they were happy with the compensation. Not a room availability issue, but yes. Considering these are their only posts I’m more inclined to think we have ourselves a troll. I rather feel like an idiot that the first thing I didn’t do was check their post history when they posted such an outlandish story…My guess is without a response that this issue was escalated and whatever the result of that was...whether satisfactory or otherwise...there was advice to not post further on these boards
Interesting. The thought crossed my mind. Only thing is they didn't just join (or create a new screenname) recently. Been around over 2 years. A quick check shows they were last online around the time of their last post so either:Considering these are their only posts I’m more inclined to think we have ourselves a troll. Yeah I noted that although they joined dis 2 years ago, this thread was their first post. I was a bit suspicious that they said they had 13 booked into the GV which has a 12 person occupancy limit…but they could have a baby so .Considering these are their only posts I’m more inclined to think we have ourselves a troll. I would say it's option 1. And they just haven't been back on to check in because they are not as invested in disney chatboards as the rest of us.Interesting. The thought crossed my mind. 1) Real post from a lurker and DVC member who really was slighted by Disney
or
2) A troll but if they are a troll this is their second screen name and are using their regular account to view the comments while munching on popcorn.
It IS possible they were playing the long con and now are reading the threads posts while not being signed in but that makes less sense than the above two. My money (and I've made worse bets in my life) is still on this having been a real situation that was resolved or is in the process of some sort of litigation and they realize that coming back here will not do them any good for said case.
Also we're running out of things to talk about if this is what we're talking about...we need a new tower or something!
haha we're more upset about his trip than he is lolI would say it's option 1. And they just haven't been back on to check in because they are not as invested in disney chatboards as the rest of us.

Some people aren’t prolific posters, or maybe they’re busy rearranging their plans. Anyway, if OP’s legit I hope things have been resolved acceptably for them.
