Anti-Humidity Hair Product Recommendations?

Sorry for another "hair" post, but I'm desperate!

I straighten my hair daily at home to make it more manageable. Going to WDW in March I had no problems. However, going at the end of September was an absolute hair nightmare - I would waste my time doing my hair and end up putting it up the second I stepped outside.

I'm visiting again this year in September and am going to give straightening my hair one more shot, although I'm sure I'll regret it and a ponytail it will be!
My hair is wavy and thick but I don't have a lot of it, so when it's humid it tends to fall flat and get greasy looking very quickly.

So I've come to you all, asking you for the BEST humidity blocking hair products you've used. I would especially love to hear from those who live in FL or climates where it gets very humid, you are the true test! I know I won't find something that blocks it completely, but I'd like to find the most effective product I can.

So far I've tried:
Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk
Aveda Smooth Infusion™ Style-Prep Smoother™
Both of these are okay but not great.

Thank you for any and all suggestions you have!

Once I bought a Chi hair straightener I never had humidity issues in WDW ever again (no matter what product I use).

Summer Hair by Frederic Fekkai. Available at Sephora or Ulta seasonally - summers only. I haven't seen it out yet, but it usually comes out around now. You can probably also find it on Amazon or eBay. With anti-humidity stuff, you get what you pay for so IMO, its worth it to pay a little more if it keeps the frizz away!

I vote for letting your wavy hair do it's thing. Why fight nature? Especially in a humid climate. I have wavy hair and I use AV Recoil and then a Gel on top of that. I scrunch in the products into wet hair and diffuse the roots and let the rest dry,{ DONT TOUCH} then scrunch the crunchiness out till they are soft and voluminous.

John Frieda Frizz Ease works really well. Although I constantly fight the battle between wanting to fight frizz and wanting to add volume -- it seems I can't have both!

My hairdresser recommended this product and I used it while in Florida a few weeks ago and was very happy with it - KMS Hairstay Anti-Humidity Seal.

My combo is, Frizz ease 3 day straight, Bumble and Bumble anti-frizz, Chi silk infusion and a chi flat iron. I finally popped for the Chi Flat iron and the difference is beyond amazing for me. I will say that if it is ghastly hot and humid it won't stay perfect all day but pretty darn good. My hairdresser also said a big key is to make sure your hair is very dry before you style and go out in the weather.:)

Thank you so much everyone for the suggestions! I do use a Chi flat iron and it helps on partially humid days, but my hair didn't stand a chance in FL September weather! Can't wait to try out your products - thanks everybody!

I was just about to post this recommendation :thumbsup2

I have VERY thick, coarse, curly hair, and when I straighten it, KMS really helps keep it from frizzing out. I get mine at Ulta.

I've tried both Aveda Anti-Humectant Pomade (and straight ironing) and Moroccan Oil Curl Control Mousse to just go with the curls and neither work in Orlando Humidity.

My only trick is to pack a bunch of ponytail holders. No way my hair makes it through the day in Orlando in September! And I don't want to waste a lot of time styling my hair.

It sounds like we have similar hair issues. Kenra working wax is a product that is pretty good for taming the frizz, esp. if you use it during and after flat ironing. It's not super sticky and is not at all gooey like a lot of wax type products. It runs about $22, so definitely more pricey than other waxes, but it does help with the frizz, more so than any other product I have tried. You can find it at Ulta, not sure where else other than online.

I guess as I've got older I've learned to accept the waves & curls I was born with:) I wear my hair long enough to twist it around in back & hold with a comb & a couple of bobbie pins on each side. Yes, it frizzes especially at the hairline but the combs, pins keep me from turning into a Brillo head. Plus it's much cooler off my neck. Later inside (air-conditioning) it can come down & survive fairly unscathed through dinner if I wish. I find that using a lot of product in Florida's humidity/rain showers just leaves me with a glumpy mess. And I don't want to waste my time messing with hair which blows in wind, rain & on rides anyway. Ladies-it's just hair & no one's paying attention to it anyway except we curly-heads who tend to obsess over it.:worried:

I like Living Proof No Frizz cream (available at Sephora, Ulta, QVC, etc.) and my chi straightener.

Add me to the list of people that have given up! My hair is wavy and thick and it gets crazy frizzy on top. I started using Aussie Sprunch. It's a level 1 hold mousse with a leave in conditioner. Run it through wet hair, tie it up in a bun or a ponytail, french braid it...whatever... and let it dry on it's own. No frizz and my curls/waves actually look NICE!
