Annual Dues Info Posted

Looking higher than estimated at Beach Club at about $9.39/pt if my math is right. It's nice that both VGF and RIV came in lower than expected though :-)
Hopefully that means next year’s BCV dues will be super low. Although, the pool is getting redone in 2025 so that could run up the $$. But it can’t be any more expensive than the recent refurb, right? RIGHT??

Taxes are a wildcard sometime you get a credit as Disney over estimates other times you owe a bit more. If it really did go up to $9.39 that is almost a 9% increase which is crazy and I don't think that will happen again.

The good news is you are still saving on Minnie Van rides as you can just stroll on home :)

Sorry yes 15th Jan! So paying early Feb won’t affect any exiting bookings for April that have used borrowed and banked points whereby dues are technically late? (But will be paid early Feb). Thanks.

Probably overthinking but that confirms it right?IMG_6273.jpeg

I’m still sad that last year Costco had 10% off Disney gift cards and this year, I’m staring down Target’s 5% sale with a Red Card with only half the credit limit of our dues.
You could buy cards and then pay off your Red Card immediately to clear up space on your credit limit.

Question. Do the websites that carry DVC info like dvcfan.com or does the DVC website itself update the info to reflect actual dues after the tax adjustments were made and invoices went out? @pkrieger2287

I ask because I wasnt to update my spreadsheet I use when comparing resorts and contracts for the new dues. Since Im new to DVC I don't even know if all the numbers I had from 2024 were what the estimates stated or the actual charged after adjustments.

Got the email from DVC today saying that my dues were loaded. I own at BCV. The dues were initially posted as $9.12, but when I looked today they are now $9.39 because of a 2024 tax revision. Argh!!
I was about to pay my BWV dues and noticed the amount was higher than anticipated and looks like the difference is the 2024 property tax adjustment. You would think they would have this sorted before they print out and mail dues statements. Glad I checked here to see if anyone else had the same issue. Relatively new owner, does this happen a lot?

Property tax adjustments happen every year, but sometimes we get a credit and other years, like 2024, we have to pay more. Here’s the explanation: https://dvcnews.com/dvc-program-men...-for-most-walt-disney-world-based-dvc-resorts

The short answer: they have to estimate property taxes almost a year before those taxes are set by the taxing authorities.

The statement you receive is the proposed dues budget for the upcoming year.

Those will always include only the budget for the new year.

Each year, in November; the actual tax amount is determined by the county and if it more than what owners paid already, they add it as an additional charge.

If it’s less than what owners paid, it’s a credit. So, it is something that will always be billed separately.

Also, check in with Best Buy every now and again. A few times a year they will run a 10% off Disney gift card sale. They actually just did that. It ended yesterday. I was able to get eight gift cards and saved 10%.

So strange that it was a different limit for us.

The sale was only on the $50 cards, so I have a LOT of codes to enter on the DVC page.
I consolidate all my cards via the Disneygiftcard.com site and fill the repository cards as close to $1000 as I can. The GC site is much easier to use - enter repository card name & numbers, enter names and numbers for the small GCs you want to consolidate, and you can add them all to the repository and delete them with minimal clicks. Using multiple GCs to pay dues takes too many clicks!

@CarolynFH Thanks. 24 gift cards was unwieldy regardless, but I did the first 12 on the DVC site and the second 12 using the gift card consolidation feature. It was a little confusing at first, but I think it was indeed many fewer clicks.

My inbox got flooded with 14 DVC payment confirmations, 11 transfer emails, 12 other gift card emails, and 2 suspensions of auto-pay. I think the 10% savings on $1200 was worth it?
