Hi amy! I have always LOVED your designs. I used a few of your disney ones a while ago! But I am going for our honeymoon. We are wanting something to put on our shirts. My fiance is a soldier & I will be a new army wife (national guard). Is there anywa you could make us a cute Bride & groom design? Also, we are going to sea world...anything cute for that?!

First of all, please tell your fiance "thank you" from me for all he does for our country. Thank you to you also for the sacrifice you have given to "share" him with the country.

I wasn't exactly sure what you were after. If you wanted something for the both of you and you had some ideas, I would not mind working on something else for you.

I did some camo names and I already had the dress one from one I did for another dis'er.

I am hoping that your Sea World trip is in 2009 as well, if not let me know and I can change the year. I have a few other Sea World designs if you look under Parks/Vacation Designs on my webpage (link in my signature). Also a name fill under Name Fill Designs.

I did the Black Friday Designs with each individual names and one with all. I wasn't sure which way you wanted it.

You are brilliant!! That is so wonderful!!!! Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to do this. I can't wait to see the look on her face (and I'm sure tears in her eyes) when I present this to her as a onesie and possible shirts for her and family. I knew I could count on my DIS family to come through. I love how this sight has truly wonderful people on it like you. THanks again. I will be sure to post pics when I get them done and of course of little Lillian herself wearing hers (along with how she is doing).

Ok Amy so here is my dilema. I was trying to figure out just what I wanted before I asked for it but I figured with you being so creative maybe you could think of something easier than I could. One of my best friends is pregnant with her 4th child (a unexpected but wonderful oops,lol) They have been through A LOT with this pregnancy due to the baby having complications. They ended up finding out that for sure the baby has to have open-heart surgery immediately after she is born and 6 to 12 months after that and then every few years after that. This along with other complications is very wearing on her and her family of course. They have faith in God though and are persevearing (sp?). The babies name is going to be Lillian Faith. I was hoping to make a shirt for the baby to wear that says something about being a fighter or having a special heart or something. Also maybe a shirt for either her (my friend...the mom) to wear or her other children or both. I can't come up with what it should be and I'm going crazy. She will be hospitalized at the end of next month in preperation for the babies birth towards the end of the month. It would bring a smile to her face that I know she so desperately needs.

I'm so sorry to have rambled on like that but I was trying to explain the situation. I know it is not your responsibility to think up the design and create it but I thought maybe you could think of something much easier than me. If I think of something I'll get back to you but if you think of something I would love to see your ideas. (that is if you didn't skip write over this novel,lol) Thank you SOOOOO much!

I just copied and posted this. Instead of trying to remember it all this is what my friend posted when she found out.Thank you for the prayers and the support. We are doing our best to keep her spirits up. She knows she is going to have a long road ahead for her precious little girl. As I said I will keep everyone updated though because my wonderful dis "family" has been so wonderful and concerned. Here is how she explained it. She gave us a picture too but I didn't want to take up too much room on here.


The newest form of heart defect that Lillian has is called Pulmonary Atresia WITH Tetralogy of Fallot. If you look at the last photo I posted in the blogs there is a valve in the pulmonary artery that leads out of the right ventricle which sends the blood to the lungs to be oxygenated, that valve is not there and there is a complete blockage in its place. The blockage is the pulmonary atresia part of the defect. Treatment for this will be several surgeries. First she will be given prosteglandin to keep the hole labeled PDA open because normally that hole closes just hours after birth, but she needs it open until the first surgery can be done to make sure the blood is going where it needs to be going.( that pathway is open in utero because fetuses don't use their lungs and closes at birth when they begin using their lungs) The first surgery will be right after birth where a shunt will be placed connecting the aorta to the pulmonary artery. This will allow her to grow big enough for the complete repair surgery. The shunt surgery is not an open heart surgery but then the complete repair surgery that is done around 6-18 months later is an open heart surgery. She will have to have a valve placed where the blockage is and a patch to fix the VSD hole (which is permanent) and as she grows or her heart grows the valve will need to be replaced (about every 3-7 years) until growth is complete and/or if the valve deteriorates.

Your designs are so beautiful! I was wondering if you could possibly come up with something for our teachers at the school where I teach.

We would like to have "Staff" shirts to wear on Field Trip days. The name of our school is Trinity Christian Academy. Our mascot is the lion. If you can picture that big lion with the big mane that we see on AK's safari......we have one like that painted in our lobby.

I can't decide if I want a big square design for the front of the shirt, or just a logo on the front on the pocket area with STAFF on the back of the shirt.

This is our mission statement, but I think it may be too long to fit anywhere on the shirt.....I thought maybe in smaller print under the STAFF if we put it on the back.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Psalms 32:8​

I am not sure about colors, a few of the teachers suggested pink writing on brown shirts, but others wanted navy writing on burgundy shirts.


If you are too busy to do this, I completely understand! Also, I didn't know whether to post the request here or to pm you with it!

Oh my gosh, that was fast!! I think it is beautiful and I will show it to the teachers tommorow and see what they think. I think it will look great on a pink shirt!!

I have 2 favors:

Can the verse print be a little bigger or if it won't fit, maybe a bit darker?

Could you possibly do the word STAFF in big letters in the brown that you used for the print in case they want to use it on the back?

Oh and can this be used as pocket size? They had talked about maybe putting a design on a pink polo shirt but haven't decided yet.

I just called my friend (one of the teachers) to describe it to her and she asked me to thank you for doing this!!
