All Star Movies is $365 less than a standard room at CSR for a 5night stay with 2park days and 2 waterpark days. Worth it to move to All Star Movies? Or keep CSR and enjoy the Dig Site poolslide and more dining options? Have not stayed at either of these before. Is All Star Movies a smaller resort footprint than CSR and therefore less walking? Thanks

We have stayed at both several times. They are two different experiences.

CSR is quieter, a slower pace. We greatly enjoy their pool. Three Bridges restaurant is a fun place for adults to relax.

ASM is more crowded. Our children loved the over-the-top theming when they were very young.

$365 less means $73 per night. That's a Quick Service meal or more, depending on the size of your party.

CSR has a bus running to the lobby, meaning potentially less walking. It all depends on your room locations as CSR and ASM.

If you are a family with young children, I suggest ASM.

If you are two adults, I suggest CSR.

It depends what your goals are - if you want resort time, then Coronado Springs could be worth is. However, ASM has a much smaller footprint and is much better for transportation. Overall, because of size and transportation, I prefer ASM over CSR, but most trips we're rarely at the resort beyond sleeping. ASM has a great theme for kids, but may not be appealing if you want a quieter, more adult trip or are planning pool time and want to eat at the resort.

So it’s been a long time since I stayed at either. Movies was when it first opened CS was very early 2000’s. We have been DVC since 2004 for full disclosure. Movies had nice theming or at least I thought so. The rooms were small but to be fair I do not feel the moderates are a huge step up. I did not enjoy the movies food court. The pool was always very crowded but that is always hit and miss. The pools at CSR and riverside are much nicer with CSR being the better one. Walking… they are both big resorts but moderates have multiple bus stops so the bus is almost always closer. For me and I still miss it the food courts at the moderates I always felt were had good food options and were nice to eat at. I particularly remember when CSR had Pepper market ( I know the name changed maybe area as well?) I did enjoy the food there.. If you are planning on spending time at the resort in my opinion it is worth paying more. We go to the parks every other day at most for almost 20 years now… never missed going every day and enjoy the resorts and many other things Disney has to offer and more important our entire vacation far more now.

Thank you! 2 adults and a teen. We will probably have a lot of resort time-more than usual so I'm leaning towards CSR but the price and the cute theming at Movies with the refurbed rooms has me questioning myself!

Thank you! two adults and a teenager. And yes resort time, resort pool time and will likely eat at the resort so perhaps CSR is the best choice. But the cute theming, nice price and newly redone rooms at Movies and not sharing with the other All Stars since they aren't open yet had me second guessing myself!

CSR rooms are a bit bigger. CSR’s pool is better.

With a teenager along and plans to spend time at the hotel, I think you have it right by leaning towards CSR.

We have a 14-year-old and she much preferred CSR over Pop which the room there felt similar to Movies to me. CSR has a great pool, and DD had a blast with the giant chess set, table tennis, cornhole, etc.

We like Movies too and the refurb is nice but CSR rooms still look pretty new and the ones we've had were immaculate. The only area we haven't stayed in between 2019 -2021 was Cabanas. If the price wasn't too different, I'd vote CSR :)

CSR is our favorite resort on property, it would be an easy decision for us. Our kids loved it as teens, not so much the AllStars, especially the pool, all the things around the pool and all the dining options. It would be totally worth it for us.

CSR rooms were renovated just a few years ago as the tower was being built, they should be in good condition.

We've stayed at both. With a teen, definitely CSR.
