My family and I are going on a 3 day Bahamas cruise on the Disney Dream. We have never cruised before. How much should 2 adults budget for drinking for 3 days?
Thanks~
Thanks~
I would say that depends on how much you plan on drinking.
For us.........$0
Not a drunk. On vacation I probably have 3-5 drinks a day since an afternoon cocktail is totally acceptable. At home, 0-1 unless I'm at a wedding or other social event.Well, this all makes me feel like a drunk! I would say we spent closer to $30-40 per person per day and it's not like we were wasted or anything! We might have a frozen drink during the afternoon ($10 with tip), split a bottle of wine over dinner ($15-20 each, as we usually picked a bottle in the $30-40 range). Occasionally, a post-dinner drink in the evening (another $10). Some days were lower, some higher.
Lol!150 each per day
150 each per day
Imagine how this makes me feel! We spent close to $1000 on our last cruise (Fantasy - Western Caribbean). We had beers by the pool, wine with dinner, the $$$ specialty cocktails, beer for the room, DH would get sambuca or anisette with his espresso and I'd get Bailey's with my cappuccino every night with dinner and I had to have my afternoon chocolate espresso martini while the boys played BBall on deck 12 a couple of afternoons. We really, really, REALLY needed it!Well, this all makes me feel like a drunk! I would say we spent closer to $30-40 per person per day and it's not like we were wasted or anything! I live in NYC so for me the prices on the cruise are actually CHEAPER than here. Here a domestic beer can run as high as $7-8 and imported beers are like $10. Mixed drinks are like $15 and wine is about $10 a glass. And that's in the local "dive". If you go the a "trendy" place, it can be twice as much. While I suspect your post was in jest,, for some people I know THAT would be entirely a reasonable estimate. A local bar offered a "all you can drink" deal, $150 per person per day ($200 per person for "premium" liquors) and a couple of my co-workers were very excited by that. They said they typically spend over $200 a night each on a Saturday night on liquor.![]()
And that is not a cruise ship bar prices.
