Yes but do you have to check them at the gate? The whole reason I do carry on is so they don't lose my luggage.

Honestly not sure, I usually fly standard/flex due to needing the ability to cancel so have no personal experience. I fly Porter in a week, I'll try to remember to notice what they are doing.

I get the not wanting them to lose your luggage. Also the added wait time for a bag, broken bags etc.
 
If I were concerned about losing my luggage or having it damaged I would just purchase the airfare which allows me to carry my luggage onboard. I am by the way concerned with losing my luggage and having it damaged as a general rule so I do book the airfare that allows me to bring it on board.

If I redeem 95 cash miles when making an eligible purchase at Pharmasave, I would have gotten 2 STB transactions done, right?

So, outside of Economy Basic fares (cheapest), we should be able to still bring on for free carry on bags (i.e. Economy Standard, Flex and Comfort fares)? I re-read the article and I think this is what it implies.

I just had THE BEST Airmiles experience in a long time and now I am total e-voucher convert!

Last night, I put in enough gas at Shell to fullfill the Shop The Block requirement. It also triggered a bonus of 95 cash miles for me in the ShellGo app. This morning, I'm sipping my tea and decided to check my AM account. On my dash, there sits 95 lonely cash miles and I think to myself, well maybe I should just follow @bababear_50 's lead and get myself a little Starbucks treat for later in the day. I have not been to the cash rewards side of Airmiles in a loooong time and I thought that was all that was there for me.

Well, oh my gosh, I was so pleasantly surprised at how many e-vouchers are available at fantastic retailers and how easy it was use. I actually ended up transferring MORE dream miles to make use of this!

I have only held dream miles. And I often read about redeeming cash miles for Starbucks, which sounds great. But after reading your post I headed over to see what you were referring to and omg, so many e voucher options! Even the Keg! So amazing! I’m not going to give up on air miles collecting just yet!
 
I've redeemed for a lot of amazon giftcards this year, got kiddos birthday present and a bunch of Christmas gifts as well. I'll be getting him Xbox game pass ultimate as well, that uses Dream miles. Then I will have barely any miles left. But it was a good use of them I think. Especially since I don't know when I'll get to go on another trip. At last STB will get me 775 AM back for the effort.
 
So I called Airmiles and waited 1 hr and 50 minutes to get through.

The gentleman started by contacting IT and saying it's an Android APP issue,,,

Then he says wait ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I'm waiting 15 minutes,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, hello?

He now says uninstall APP and reinstall APP.
I had already told him I did this yesterday.

Ok I did this yesterday but I'll try again....only way to test his is to go and buy another product which I don't really want to do.

He then hit a wrong button and his conversation went written on my phone screen ..just freaking crazy,,, never seen this before.

Then he say it seems like we have been disconnected....waste of time.

This seriously pushing me back towards Scene+ food rewards.

APP uninstalled again and phone turned off for 5 minutes,,, APP reinstalled .
Found a receipt for 7 cartons of eggs at FreshCo
Eggs Large printed right on the Receipt
$9.65 each

People all over the place are complaining at the moment about the receipts part of the app. I also wasn't able to submit and inquiry at one point last week but a day or so later it worked for me.

If it weren't for promotions and needing it as one offer I would give up on using it as a regular thing. Too frustrating.

I read somewhere else that the receipts seem to favour a receipt from a Loblaws brand company. Maybe they are working together on the coding of things. Just putting that out there if it could make a difference for someone.
 
Well sadly, I'm back home. It was good to see DD but I can see that she's exhausted and not having much fun. OK, I mean work is not fun but this is a totally different experience than she had the last contract. She is saddled with a bunch of people that are nothing but problems. Her roommate feels the same way, so at least they have each other. Every week they have had numerous problem guests....really bad stuff. A few weeks back there were several families that have now been permanently banned. They have had so many missed ports, so much bad weather and that all causes extra work. Now she also has extra rehearsals and that often happens after 11:30pm. We literally had a 30 second goodbye on our last night because she had a show and then had to immediately go to a rehearsal. She was planning to get off the ship with us for a couple hours but couldn't because she needed to sleep. Anyway, there have been some highlights. She has met some great guests and even a few returning guests that she remembered and they her.

For us, this time was more relaxed in general which is what we wanted. However, I don't think cruising is really for us. There were often times when we didn't know what to do with ourselves. We went to a mixology class which was ok but I don't get the hype other than the math makes it cheap drinks. We went to the sports simulator which was fun. Those were the only things we did outside of attending some character M&G's. The shows were excellent and it was really nice to see them on stage after I had seen the rehearsals. DD's shows I was most excited for. I managed to sweet talk my way into a preferred area to watch one of them. Another one we showed up an hour early to get a prime spot. We had a very interesting dining experience, and not in a good way. The first night we were meet with what felt judgmental tones by the service team. DD immediately noticed it. I really didn't until she said something to me. Perhaps they had a problem with her dining with us, we don't know. Anyway, there is a bit of a story to it all. Managers got involved, things changed, it was really fake afterward which made us uncomfortable. The weather was not very good. Very grey and overcast, not very warm, very windy and rough seas. We had a bit of sun in the first two ports but still not all that warm. Castaway day the weather was pretty decent. There was a gastro thing going around onboard and DH got it. That was really bad and he's still not felling well. DD told us mid week that something was going on and to be really diligent about hand washing. I'm a germophobe anyway so that was not hard for me but DH gets annoyed by my constant don't touch stuff and then my... oh gross you touched the hand rail, now sanitize. So in the grand scheme, we will go again to see DD. She says she's not quite finished with it unless she gets something in the office when she gets back. At this point she's counting the weeks until she comes home. I foresee her spending a week in bed when she gets here.

Now it's back to the real world. You know what though??? I'm literally doing nothing today. I should be working but all I've done is clear emails and voicemails. I should be unpacking and going out for groceries. Nope, not doing it. The rest of this week is going to be very busy and I'm just not mentally prepared. What I have accomplished is reading the last 6 pages here and getting a plan in my head for StB. ::yes::
