We’re thinking about renting DVC points for a trip. I’m wondering if we can get the dining plan and if we would be eligible for the Evening Extra hours that deluxe resort guests can use.
Also are there any other perks or discounts that we would be able to use?

Yes, you can purchase the dining plan when renting points. Some brokers (DVC Rental Store) have it as an option to select when you use them to rent points. You are also eligible for evening EMH. You are NOT eligible for any DVC discounts or use of any DVC lounges. No other real perks, except for free resort parking where they may be a parking fee (no FL resort charges for regular parking). One thing to remember, most point rental bookings are final, no refunds or changes and no daily housekeeping.

In addition to the information above, if you rent directly from an owner, the owner must purchase the dining plan for you, and it must be paid for in full at that time. Many renters purchase a Disney gift card for the amount of the plan and give those numbers to the owner to use, while others give the owner their credit card information.
