Hi! I have reserved the Keys to the Kingtom tour for 8:30 on a Tuesday morning. MK opens at 8:30 for EE which I qualify for but instructions say to meet at 8:15. Will I be able to access MK at that time? Thank you to anyone who has attended the 8:30 tour.

To say it in a slightly less condescending way: Yes, they know your coming and with a simple check they let you right in. Have a good time. I found that tour to be quite interesting especially the utilidors. Lunch was pretty good too.

Its nice to even try to get there a bit earlier and when they let you in its so nice to walk down main street with it being so empty. You can take some nice pictures without the crowds and that is almost worth the price of the tour.

They may still have a not until time, I don't remember. If you get there on time they sometimes started right away and that got the empty Main Street situation, but if some show up late, they might wait for them for a few minutes and then start the tour. When I took it I got there just exactly at the requested time so I don't know if people were let in before that time or not.

When MK opens for EE at 8:30, they usually start letting all guests (with and without EE eligibility) through the turnstiles at around 8:00, and Main Street (including the shops) is open. EE guests can scan in at the circle in front of the castle starting at that time, but are held on the bridge to Tomorrowland or near the teacup ride until EE rope drop at 8:30.

I think mine was at 8am a few years ago. They started to let people through the gates a bit early and I made it on time with plenty to spare.

We are doing KTTK in a couple weeks at 8:30 coming from Pop. We are NOT rope drop people but definitely want to make our tour. What time would you get to the bus stop to make it on time?

I was staying at Rivera and caught the bus @ 6:45. I’m glad I did because I got pulled over to the extra security screening which took quite a while! Made it to Tony’s Town Hall by 8:10!

Enjoy the tour!

I hope you enjoyed the tour! I am thinking of adding this to my agenda for my solo trip in November. Did you have a good time- and would you do it again?

What time does ETPE begin that day and, what time are you asked to arrive for an 8:30AM tour? I would plan on arriving at the Pop bus stop between 6:30 and 6:45.

7:30 is ETPE for our day. We don't need to be there until 8:30. I'm hoping that 6:45-7:00 is early enough.

If ETPE is at 7:30 I would not push it much past 6:45. You would likely be fine but may run into long lines at the bus which is the unknown. You will need time for the lines at Pop, 16 min ride to MK, security and getting to the park. Since the park will be open to all guests by 8AM, each of these areas has potential to have lines.

Yep. You will let them know at the gate you have a KTTK tour and they will check a list.
Sadly this doesn’t happen anymore.
We just did this tour a month ago and had the 8 AM tour. When we got there at 7:30 we told the cast members that we were there for the tour, and they told us we had to wait in line like everybody else to get in, and there was a jillian people there. I had a bit of a heart palpitation, because we were not in the front of any lines (we were pretty far back) Luckily the line did go quick in regards to getting in and we had no problem getting to the tour check in on time.

They know that they can't let anyone in that long before because of the idea that everyone will either spend that time wandering around and/or not get back in time for the start of the tour. From my experience my memory it's about 5 or 10 minutes before the tour that they let the participants in. The tour starts at City Hall which is just inside the gate.

They might have changed that because so many would head down Main Street and delay the start. Since your tour starts at the same time as the gates open that day, I don't think they would think you need to be there before the actual park open. If your tour started before the park opens then they might let you in a few minutes early, but not a half hour earlier.
