That's what I was reading. Glad I timed my bathroom break properly!! Got lucky in a couple ways.

I wonder if that means there will be no HS for 'regular' registration in 2 days, or if they held some back......

Now I want to cry. We never get in for these things. Oddly, my pre-11 AM window and my 11:30 window got to the front of the line at the same time. My 11:20 window still isn't there.
So anyone saying this system works correctly... it's probably because you got lucky.

Me (desktop) and 2 family members (one on mobile, one on desktop) are in CST and were on the page by 9:30am to register for the HS event on January 26th. At 10am, we all had "over an hour of wait time" and were stuck there for a whiiiiiiiiiile. But then my family members both had their statuses change, one to 40 minute range and one to 20 minute range so I closed out my window because mine still said over an hour. They also experienced having a wait time that was lower but then jumped BACK UP at the same time folks here experienced it; we all griped and panicked. The family member on mobile ended up getting through, though, registered us and we had our confirmation email by 10:43 am CST.

This will only be our 2nd MM event and this is our 30th anniversary year as DVC members. We did not enjoy Epcot when we went last year, unfortunately, but we did get some snacks and get to see some pretty fireworks when we went. I'm now headed to YouTube to see if I can figure out what to expect at HS, figure out the deets (can we get in earlier than event start time like with After Hours?), and everything else cuz I'm the one who handles booking stuff for everyone.

I like character meet n greets so I'm hoping to see where to go and who I might see that night that I won't be able to see any other night/time.

I made it to DHS (didn’t try DCA because of new policy) and so I can’t really complain personally, but it is outrageous if people jumping in the queue after 11 got ahead of those of us waiting before 11, and I’ve now seen multiple reports of it happening.

They hold some back but very few, it fills in minutes.

Sorry to those who didnt get HS today, I believe i was one of the lucky ones and got in around the time mentioned earlier at 11:50. I didnt have any issues with the page and did only use 1 device. I do wonder if you use more than 1 device since it is the same member id on all of them, how that works. I would think a random number is assigned to the member id on the "first" device assuming they are all logged in and awaiting the random number. If you have multiple devices does it act like you refreshed the page putting you at the back and then syncs all devices essentially putting your first device at the back of the line? I do feel lucky and first time doing a HS moonlight magic.

We are local and have never had any issues registering each year (even with the opening of VDH). We just drive home afterwards, so we use general registration (much more difficult at WDW MM events). The problem with your trying to book a cash reservation is that it would have needed to be booked/modified by yesterday:

If you are successful in getting through to register, you will be able to have 5 guests total on your reservation. You will need to click the registration link and then at 8am PST on the 17th (or whenever Disney IT opens the queue), you’ll be randomly placed in line.

All that to say, honestly, the DCA Moonlight Magic is the lamest MM we’ve ever been to. The ones held at DL were absolutely amazing, but I wouldn’t be too sad if you don’t get in to the DCA event

Can you tell me why you did not like DCA event. We got in but just wondering what to expect. Thanks.

The website you listed shows "I spoke with Member Services, who confirmed that the event's official hours are 7:00 PM EST until 10:00 PM EST. Members wishing to get a bit more time in the theme park can enter as of 4:00 PM EST."

You generally can get in early just like with a party.

Thanks— our immediate family have APs but our 5th (my sister) doesn’t, so I’m trying to figure out what our options are and it didn’t occur to me it could be less than 3h from MM starting. Hoping to pick up a dining res and we will try to find one after 7:15 to be safe.

I was able register for DCA. Got into the queue at 7:40 PT. Used one device only, since I read membership number was required to enter the queue, and mistakenly assumed only one queue id would be permitted per membership. Finally got in at 9:08 PT.

Conversely I liked the DCA event I attended two years ago better than any WDW MM which is why I'm trying for it's general queue on Friday. I think we've been to a party at almost every park in WDW (fave being AK December of 2023) and we thought the DCA had the best perks and the most party atmosphere - all the guests seemed so excited to be there and were so friendly! We couldn't believe how much food we were able to get with our vouchers and it was also during the Chinese New Year celebration so they had amazing food kiosks open in the time when both party guests and day guests mix in. You'll love it!

I logged on the night before. So, my countdown had already started on my iphone.
I logged on to my work desktop with a window on chrome, a window incognito on chrome and a windy on Firefox-all at 10:30. Yesterday.
At exactly 11am, I logged on to three iPads. Ever device said the wait was more than an hour . After about 20 minutes one of the iPads said 50 minutes, my phone said 50 minutes , and the incognito window said 50 minutes.
A few minutes later, the iPad and incognito window said 30 something minutes. My phone had 38 minutes and eventually, I got it on my phone-which I had logged on to the night before. I was going to share the lowest queue, but someone on here said do it privately but that would have taken too long and no one would have used it in time.
So, I logged out of all the devices.

You can log on as soon as the link opens. It will put you in RANDOM ORDER. If you log on at or after 11amET, you will be put in numerical order. That is why some people got in earlier than those of us who had logged in the night before.

I really wanted to send someone a shorter queue but did not get the chance. I do however have one ticket that may be available for the HS event but I will not know for sure until 1/23.

I understand what you are saying but people are reporting they joined the queue AFTER 11ET and got wait times less than an hour while the windows they had opened the night before were still showing over an hour.
