Where do you buy clothes with/for your 12 year old boys?

I shopped at Gap,Old Navy, Pac Sun and Abercrombie and Fitch. Also American Eagle.

I didn´t know AE carried kids sizes?

My 12 year old really likes anywhere.

He like American Eagle, Old Navy, some GAP (but not much--there is an acronym for GAP that the kids use), Kohl's, Aeropostale some vintage wear at Goodwill. I can also find Abercrombie at Goodwill as well.

He also likes some stuff at Steve and Barry's.

Fortunately, he's not big on clothes being an issue just yet though.

LOL.

Thanks for the help guys. We´ll definately be shopping for DS when we come over to the US in May. Target has a lot of cute summer outfits for girls but not so much for boys his age. He really isn´t that much into GAP but we´ll definately give AE, Aeropostale and Abercrombie a try. :)

Sure they do...or maybe it just depends upon the size of the kid.

My DD12 is 5'6" & 115 pounds.
Her winter jacket is an AE "Large".

Every top she has from that store is a "Large".

We don't buy her jeans there...she prefers Aeropostale for those.

I used to be able to find stuff for my son at Target. Not anymore. He may find a Tshirt or two there, now but we are basically done with Target.

My daughter finds cute and stylish items at Target all the time.

Do you have an H & M near you? My son likes some of the things there as well. Some of it is a bit too tailored for him, but some of the shirts are ok.

They have European sizing, so thats a bit tricky for me (as an American).

My son shops like this. He knew he needed two pairs of jeans and hoodie last week.

He walked into Steve and Barry's picked two pair of jeans up adn one hoodie and was done in about 5 minutes. He didn't want to browse or look at anythign else.

DS is quite a bit smaller. Just over 5' & 85 pounds. He almost always needs a "slim fit" in pants but we´ll definately check them out.

My almost 12 year old could care less what he wears. He'd wear anything I bought for him, doesn't care what it is, how it looks, what the name brand is. Its the source of many a family joke, being he was born to me. I love clothes, not sure how it happened I had a kid who doesn't.

I buy him stuff from The Gap, Lands End, LL Bean, Old Navy, mostly, but I'm not opposed to buying stuff used on ebay either. Got him 3 almost new pair of Levi Jeans on ebay at the start of the school year and it cost me 1/4 of what it would have cost me new. I like clothes, but I also like good deals, so I try to stick to outlet prices or sales - I'll hit a big sale and just buy larger sizes in addition to the size he is currently wearing so I can stock up.

I have a 13 soon to be 14 year old.

For school - the uniform shop. :rotfl:
For weekends and suit jackets - he still fits into Belk's boy's sizes.

Next year he has to dress according to dress code - "dress" pants and shoes, polo or dress (collared) shirts until November 1st, then dress shirts and tie until May 1st.

He might actually be big enough to shop in the teen department by then. He JUST was able to purchase shoes in men's sizes (as of last week!)

Funny that you ask. We usually LOVE H&M and when we lived in Denmark we bought almost all of the kid´s clothes there. However, sadly there isn´t one in Iceland. Prices here are outrageous. I can hardly find a t-shirt for under $30, a sweater for under $60 or jeans for under $65 and that would even be considered CHEAP. :confused3

So we shop abroad!!! ;)

JC Penney's and Kohl's when our son was that age.

My soon to be 10 y/o ds loves to get his shirts from Aeropostle, Hollister, American Eagle. He's pretty thin, only weighs about 75 lbs so he has to get the s or xs and has just recently been able to shop here but he's very into it. Jeans we still have to buy at the Gap or Levis for adjustable waist.

My son, who just turned 13 last month likes American Eagle, and he likes Hollister, too. He wears mostly Levis jeans, though. He likes to wear football jerseys and hoody sweatshirts a lot (especially the college ones).

I bought him some cool T-shirts in the men's department at Target, too. He likes funny T-shirts or T-shirts with the names of bands on them (old bands like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc.).

I have a big 12 year old(5 foot 5 about 120) and he lives in AE stuff. (after a brief black period in '04!:scared1: ) So now he is more prep and wears a medium usually- or some larges if they are "athletic fit" I do find him pants and shorts in the men's section at Target- he will wear the Mossimo line- cargos ect.. and you can get them from a waist size 28.. and the smaller sizes usually make it to clearance quickly so that is a good place to look. And these all held up great last summer. He won't wear Abercrombie(I think it depends on where you live- here they don't wear it and have a name for kids that do wear it..:confused3 ) Some Gap and still some gamer shirts(from that dark store in the mall from the black period...) I think that is all payback though from when I was a teen and into punk.

My DS16 has always bought his clothes from Old Navy. He doesn't bother with any other store.

Aeropostale would be a good fit for jeans for her. They have a size 0 and 00 (even smaller). They also have regular fit and short. This is the only thing my DD13 could wear a couple years ago. She was about the height/weight of your daughter and we couldn't find slims in sizes above 14 --- Their prices are very reasonable too (especially the sales -- have often gotten jeans for $15)

Actually it´s HIM. DS not DD ;)

But thanks for your advice. We´ll definately go to Aeropostale, his dad usually buys stuff there when we´re in the US anyway :)
