•The Official COPPER CREEK VILLAS & CABINS Owners & Lovers Group•

I am not surprised a decision (previously mentioned it being unlikely) hasn’t been made on the Murphy beds. The soffit above the sofa in Copper Creek make it much more difficult since the height necessary isn’t likely there. So to add them to copper Creek probably requires a bit more structural changes than the other resort it was added to thus far.
Surely we have enough members here on disboards to where someone can measure the height of the murphy beds in the other DVC properties, then measure the height of where the murphy bed would go in CCV rooms, and see if there is enough space!

Part of the problem is the light too. You can’t hide electrical behind something that is considered permanent like these beds.

I am curious though if height is an issue, which I suspect it must be (seemed like it last time I was in there) given all the other resorts have been getting them at soft or hard refurb.

I’m here now, absolutely obsessed I want to stay here every Christmas forever hahah…guess I’m going to have to start keeping my eye out for some contracts again 😅

The overhead thing does come fairly low for the usual Murphys, I hope they’re able to work around it. A Murphy bed would definitely move CCV into my top 2 resort.

Yes! Having the best time, thank you! We have family staying at Poly and VGF, too, so we've been over there a bunch and honestly, it’s such joyful relief to come back to CCV every evening. I know you guys are at VGF this year, which is obviously magical in in its own way, but I’m excited for you to experience CCV in all its glory next year! I totally get the hype now.

😍

I see a new CCV contract in your future!!

Hi,
I’m staying at CCV (studio) for the first time over marathon weekend. I’ve heard there’s some scaffolding on the WL. If so, does anyone know which area this impacts currently?
Thanks in advance. Very excited for my stay.

All of the murphy beds have electrical run to them. They all have lights inside and charging ports, so the electrical could just be used for that. I just looked at pictures and Boulder ridge has a very similar soffit to the one present in Copper Creek over their murphy beds. I would be interested to know dimensions on that soffit vs the one at copper creek.

I feel like I’ve barely noticed honestly. The only place I saw it was outside the front entrance area and a bit on the backside by ramp down to Roaring Fork. Hope you have an amazing stay, we’ve loved it so much!

Can someone tell me the real difference of CCV studio walk in bathroom versus not.....are there certain floors for certain studios....views....thank you very much!!!

Can't answer all your questions, I do know that a lot of the studio tub rooms are on the first floor. There are not any "view" categories for CCV, so you can be looking at anything, but most of the views are good, no real dumpster views. The funky almost 1BR CCV studios - AKA Alternate studios, are the tub rooms so if you book a walk in shower studio, you will not get an alternate layout studio. Though even if you do book a tub room, it's not all that likely you'll get one due to the limited number of these rooms. Check out the Touring Plans Room Finder and you will see where the studios are located, they are on all floors.

Here is a link that shows what room type is on each floor. A whole bunch of really good info is posted on page 1 of this thread.
