Disney's WILDERNESS LODGE Information & Questions

We have 2 rooms at WL in early January with 2 people in each room, so could I just get CL for one room and all 4 of us could use the club? I recall reading you can take guests but can't find the actual policy. I booked the rooms and put myself on both of them to manage them in MDE, so technically one room has 3 people listed and the other room has two. If only one CL guest is allowed per room I assume I could get it for the room of 3 then take our 4th as a guest maybe? I'm not trying to cheat the system, just asking if this is allowable and won't do it if it's not. It would be no different than booking a CL room and another regular room but taking guests I would imagine. I see the vloggers taking guests all the time which is a little obnoxious IMO, but this is family so we're not going to be taking the place over to drink all night.
Not sure if that would work, it would encourage people to only book one CL room and then bring in all sorts of other people. But I do know what you mean by the vloggers, I've seen that, too. If I were a CL guest, I would not be happy with all the people they bring in and how they act -but that's probably another conversation! I would ask on the Club Information and Questions thread, there are a lot of frequent CL guests there with great knowledge.

Honest answer…this would be cheating the system.

It's also a resounding NO on the Club thread regarding this matter.

I'm actually surprised that people say you can bring guests to the CL lounge. I definitely would not have thought that was allowed.

Not sure what you need to manage but if you add a third adult to a deluxe room you will be paying an extra $40 or so a night to the room price.

Agreed. If either of her kids is 18, then she doesn’t need to be on their reservation for them to occupy the room - save some $. If not 18, then she’s on it in order to get them a room, which technically they aren’t allowed to stay in without an adult present.

You can't. It's been answered on the Club thread.
Not exactly. Opinions were given but no facts were presented. I'm asking when I get there because when you book a room at CL you pay for 4 guests to use the lounge regardless of who is in the room. I wouldn't be surprised if they let us all in. I'm certainly not moving us all to one room just to access some mediocre snacks.

I did say all are adults but our one son is 17 turning 18 in early February so I just said all are adults and that didn't have anything to do with the question anyway. So there are only 2 adults per room and when you book the rooms and don't put yourself on one of them you can't cancel or make payments online for that room. I added myself because it was no extra charge yet and I can still manage it online with the other room rather than having to have my older son do it. Once the 17 year-old turns 18 we can't do that anymore for reasons stated obviously.

We've changed this from AS Movies, to POP, to CBR, and now to WL where the room type changed twice. Availablilty with the AP discount has changed a lot so being able to manage both rooms myself has been necessary.

Is that a fact?

You can book three rooms per MDE acct, and names should not be duplicated on reservations. You can make payments without your name on the room. I do it quite often when I’m planning with family.

I've stated before that you see vloggers do it an I certainly remember some of them explicitly stating that you are allowed to take guests in which is why I asked to begin with. All I want to know, and probably others now too, is if that's allowed so we can try the lounge out for the first time and see if we like it. So far no one has been able to answer that with something published or stated by Disney and it's all been opinion or personal feelings towards the issue.

Again, I'm not trying to cheat the system as some are saying but you have to ask yourself this, if guests are getting in there how are they doing that and why is Disney allowing it? If it were "cheating" and not allowed at all then something's not being done right, or it is allowed and no one ever bothered to check. I read somewhere during my searches that you are allowed to take the number of people to the lounge that your room can sleep. Seems to make a lot of sense given the price is the same for that CL room whether there are 1, 2, 3, or 4 people staying in it.

I would never break the rules as long as I know what they are, for example I would never fake a handicap by using a scooter to get priority access to things but we all know people do that everywhere in Disney, at airports, etc. Disney can't tell you to get up out of the scooter and walk but they can check to see if you are all CL guests upon entry and there has to be a good reason why they let guests in.

From Plan Disney - officially sanctioned (hired and trained) by Disney. They also did a more recent response to CL at the Grand Californian and have the same answer.

The rooms may hold four, but the price for any room at Disney includes two guests. Guests 3 and 4 are an extra charge. Since an extra name is on one reservation, there will be an extra $35/night for that room.

That isn't accurate. If there are more than two adults staying in a CL room, you pay for the extra adults. I think it's $35 per adult, per night. Since you feel you are only getting opinions, and not fact, you should contact Disney as has been suggested.

I went online to the WDW website and chatted with a CM. She specifically stated that only guests on the reservation for CL access are allowed in. I asked if the room capacity were 4, but only 2 guests in the room, could you bring in 2 non CL guests (who were also staying in the hotel) into the CL. She again stated no, it is not allowed, only guests registered in the room with CL access were allowed in. It may be a moot point anyway, since they may not even allow you to add it on. Disney only does it when CL rooms are not completely booked or the number of guests in CL rooms is low. If you go online and see CL rooms available to book for your dates, then you may have a chance. Also look at the difference in room rates from what you booked (with no discounts), that will be about you will pay. They are not giving it away at a bargain price. And contrary to what you are saying, you are trying to cheat the system. Also, Disney does tell people in scooters they have to get out of them to ride certain attractions - Pirates for example.

I’ll repeat what I said on the CL thread. The paperwork handed out during a CL stay says: The XYZ lounge is for the exclusive use of Disney's XYZ Resort Club Concierge Guests. Seems pretty clear to me.

Lounges are controlled by key card/MagicBand access. From a practical matter CMs generally aren’t patrolling/monitoring who should be there unless it’s something obusive/obvious.

Guests do occasionally bring a friend for a drink, to hang out, etc, but that is not a common occurrence. It’s not guarded like Fort Knox, stuff happens, people like to post online about bringing friends, brag about it, whatever. But routinely bringing non-CL guests to the lounge over a multi-day stay would definitely be against the rules and is not the intent or spirit of Disney’s CL information.
