Thanks Sandi! I just called because I had to have the 2 nights at Poly combined and asked if there was anything else available that night but there wasn’t. Is there something specific I should say or is just asking what is available sufficient?

Just keep trying and asking if they are seeing any last minute availability. I know I have gotten a few rooms day or or next day that way!

Anyone know how quickly the studios are booked during rundisney weekends? Do we need to book immediately at the beginning of the 11 month window?
Studios at all DVC resorts are extremely popular for all runDisney races, so yes, you need to plan to book at 11 months, even at PVB with all its studios.

Booked a 2 night stay at Poly in a deluxe studio any recommendations for a standard view room that have an obstructed firework view or nice view? Looked could only see 2 rooms in the Tokelau building. Which building do you think is the best and why?

Tokelau is the best standard view. It's the closest to the GCH and the Oasis pool. If you get a room on the north side, you can get an obstructed fireworks view when you turn your head. None of the other standard views in the other longhouses will give you that.

A little confused on the Poly Tower - will the current DVC areas/rooms remain in DVC once the tower is complete or will those go to the resort?

Yes, the three longhouses and bungalows will remain DVC. The question everyone is has is if the tower will be part of the same association so current PVB owners can book as is or a separate association so it will be like a brand new resort. It’s anybody’s guess as DVD is tight lipped about it right now.

I just booked the Polynesian at my 7 month window for my daughter’s senior graduation trip in April. I’m so excited that we will get to stay at the Polynesian. She has wanted to stay there since I first took her to Ohana when she was only 4 years old. If anybody has any ideas on how to make it extra special for her please let me know.

Fireworks view from Polynesian Beach! Just thought I’d post some photos, we do love being in the park for fireworks but this is a great alternative. (Photos are live but don’t know if they’ll post that way?)

We are checking into PVB at the end of next week on the 5th night of our stay. We are resale PVB owners and this will be our first stay there as owners. Really looking forward to it.

We also have a split stay with PVB and BRV coming up over Christmas as well. That trip will be 3 nights at poly before moving to BRV for 3 nights in a 1 BR.

Staying at the Poly for the first time in January and I can't wait! I have been doing a lot of research and asking a lot of questions on the boards. I have been going to WDW forever and have never seen any mosquitoes but I saw someone on a facebook page say that the only place they ever saw any was at the Poly and it was so bad they couldn't stay outside to do anything. What has been your experience?

I have never experienced mosquitos at Polynesian. Only WDW resort I have experienced mosquitos was All Star Music in the 90s.

We just checked out of the Poly yesterday and spent a lot of time outside around the grounds. I didn’t notice any mosquitos anywhere and we had a lot of rain/standing water during our trip from a storm that came through.

It's like Disney magic. I don't understand how they accomplish this. It has to be a massive effort.

I've never had a mosquito problem at the Poly or any other Disney resort for that matter. That doesn't mean mosquitos don't exist, but it's not like they're rampant and eating you alive. 🤣

In past years, I have stayed at the Poly in May, June and November and never had an issue with mosquitoes.

The only place I've ever gotten bitten was the Fort Wilderness dock after dark - and that was like, one mosquito in one trip over however many years. Never had an issue at the Poly!

Hello fellow Poly fans. I have a question that I need help answering. So based on my research, I'm under the impression that the only deluxe studio suites on Poly property are located in the Moorea (DVC), Pago Pago (DVC) and Tokelau longhouses. I'm also under the impression that only lake view deluxe studio suites are located in the Moorea longhouse. I'm a DVC member and I currently have 7 of my 8 nights reserved for a lake room with the last remaining night, Dec 3rd, as a standard view. I've been on the wait list for months now and there is still a good chance I'll get that last night to a lake view but today I went onto the Disney website to see whether the room was available for cash and sure enough on Dec 3 there is lake view deluxe studio available to pay with cash. Now, if the lake view Deluxe studios only exist in the Moorea longhouse than how is it available for cash but not DVC members? could someone much smarter than me please answer this? I'm guessing all the rooms in the Moorea longhouse don't actually belong to DVC but I'm hoping that guess is wrong. Thanks in advance.
