What did you all book for Summer 2023? - thoughts on prices?

We booked the 11-night Med on the Dream.

Maybe because early booking is the 'cheapest' but I was surprised at the prices.
The 2023 11-night Med is cheaper (!!) than the 12-night Med we had for this summer but ended up canceling.
Of course it's 1 less night but compared on a per-night basis, the 2023 cruise we booked is about 12% cheaper.
We also booked the summer 2022 Med cruise late & I guess that's why it was more expensive.

So, lesson learned, gotta book early to snag the best deals.

Hope you all get what you want at a price that works for you.

I'm trying to book the 8-night Bermuda sailing on the Fantasy using my Placeholder. So far I've been on hold for almost 2 1/2 hours. I wish I could have used a travel agent to book this one, but since the Placeholder didn't have a TA attached to it, I'm sitting here on hold. :(

We booked the Fantasy 10 night South Caribbean, used a placeholder and it took me less than 30 minutes to get someone to help, I dialed exactly at 8:00 a.m.

What number did you call? I'm ready to hang up on one of these phones and call back because I'm getting concerned that they are only answering the Castaway Club phone lines and not any of the other ones.

Nevermind, I finally got through. Unfortunately he's having computer issues using my Placeholder. :(

We booked the Iceland/Norway/France. The price is insane, but we also had a 50% off Wish cancellation discount and it's much more manageable at this price. We would never be able to book this cruise without that discount. It's not my ideal itinerary. I much prefer the 2021 version (which we were booked on) but still, it gets us to Iceland (bucket list) so we'll take it. I'm sure we'll have a great time!

We're on the same cruise. With the 50% Wish discount it was vert affordable. Don't know that we would have done it otherwise.

We are on the same cruise! We also got to apply 50% discount thanks to Wish cruise cancellation. Did not see you post your pricing on the opening day thread. Thought we were the only ones on the ship! 🤣

We booked the 8 night Greek Isle cruise from Rome (Civitavecchia). This is our 4th try at this cruise. First 2 canceled by DCL due to covid. This year canceled by us as we did not feel comfortable traveling all that way to be tested at the port and not able to board-or get home for that matter (they really need to change the testing rules for arrival by plane in the US). Anyway, I ended up booking a verandah room for less than the ocean view I had booked for this year. So I am pretty pleased. Hoping things are more stabile next year as we attempt this trip. I am not getting any younger and this trip is looking more and more like a one and done as we have other trips and places we want to see.

Booked Alaska seven day june 2023. Concierege with Disney Wish 50% cancellation. Makes me feel much better about the cancellation getting the 7 day concierge for only $12k. versus 24k. Although my TA said a person booked the 11 night MED in the Dream Royal Suite for $130k with 50% off..for $65k. wow!

Not having restrictions on that 50% off is the first solid DCL has done folks in a long time... glad to hear so many making great use of it!

We did not book anything this time... we have the 8 night Bermuda April '23 and the Arctic expedition cruise in July with ABD already or I would be tempted.

Booked the 8 night greek isles. Almost 12K for 2A 1C (3 years old). Going to apply our 50% because our wish cruise was cancelled, like many others here.

No way we could've afforded it otherwise! Now I'm just hoping I'm not crazy bringing a 3 (will be almost 4) year old to Greece! Hope it goes well.

I wondered if anyone did that!

I've not been to that thread so I'll visit and post - totally forgot about it.
How cool we're on the same cruise - it's 14 months away but if life allows and we make it there, would love to have a DIS meetup. Cheers.

I thought we were on the 2020 WBPC cruise together! Do you have any kids who will be cruising? My DD will be 13 and DS will be 19.

I have no 50% off discount, but I did have the 10% off for placeholder so had to call in today.

I booked the absolute cheapest Mediterranean cruise I could get--the 7 night round trip from Barcelona. I was really hoping for a family oceanview room as we are a party of 5 so need the family size, but wasn't available so I booked a family veranda on the lowest available deck. Still not cheap by any means: $14,000 for 2 adults, 3 kids, but for Europe with meals included not too bad. The CM I spoke to did say to check back as oceanview rooms may open up in a few days. I don't know if he was hinting they are holding back some inventory for silver or general public, or if he just is referring to people booking a hold and letting it expire in 3 days. Either way, I'll keep checking online (I had to call in today to convert a placeholder, but can modify rooms online from now on).

Even though budget was a huge factor in our choice of cruise (those 10 and 11 nights are just way too pricey--if I had that kind of vacation spending money I'd book Adventures by Disney), I am still really happy with the cruise we got. The itinerary looks lovely--I've never been to Italy so can't wait to see Pompeii, Florence, and Rome. And when I was little, I used to go stay at my grandparents house in Nice every summer (I grew up overseas) so I'd love to show my kids my old stomping grounds. I do have a little work cut out for me persuading my husband to do two disney cruises in one year--we have the Wish booked as well in 2023--but I'm pretty confident he'll come around when I remind him he can have a non-Disney trip so long as he does all the work planning it!

Europe, here we come! :sail:

We booked the 11 night Northern Europe on August 8th. We have family in Sweden whom we haven't seen since 2018 so leaving from Copenhagen makes life easier. We have previously done the Norway/Iceland?Scotland cruise in 2018 and it was seriously the trip of a lifetime.

It's expensive, yes, but I feel like everything is expensive now. I have continued to save even though we haven't been travelling much so time to make it rain!

Yes we were! Except... our DD had an accident in Cozumel so we had to cut the trip short... you may have heard?
Ended up staying in Cozumel for the next 2 weeks and the beginning of the Rona.. surgery, rehab, nightmare...
Had several ppl contacting me on the facepad page to ask how she was doing. Thank GOD all went well.
DCL refunded us the cruise and we took our daughter to this year's WBPC, which she loved. Best cruise, maybe best trip of our lifetimes... We are so grateful with life, with the Cosmos.

She will be 18 for the for that Med cruise... I'm sure she'll like to hang with your DS on the 1820 society.

That all depends on the cruise. Since this itinerary is new and popular booking early is probably the way to go, but booking late can sometimes offer the biggest savings. Some of the 2023 cruises are less next year than this year, but then you see how they had to slash the prices this year. With everything going on in the world it's got to be hard to gauge what demand will be like next Summer. The demand is obviously not there this Summer.
