We SHOULD be in Vero Beach with friends but they are having many airplane problems. New plane arrival time is 5:30 BUT they haven’t left Charlotte, so, who knows????

We are killing time in central FL. Looking at the water in Sanford Fl listening to Fiesta Bowl!

Been fairly lazy here today. Slept in until 8 am. Made a breakfast casserole, ran to Walmart for one thing I needed to make dinner, washed DH’s truck & vacuumed it out while I was out. Worked on a craft that I have been trying to finish up. Took a nap for about an hour, and now just vegging until it’s time to make dinner.

I spent the day yesterday taking down my holiday decorations and getting my house back in order. Normally I’d wait until next week, but I have been off of work all week, and return to work on Monday, so it just made sense to get it over with while off.

Wait your Walmart is open today? Here it is a Stat holiday everything closed up in Canada. Since it falls on a Saturday everything government will get Monday off so no mail for us on Monday.

Binge-watching 1883 and going with the family to Red Lobster for an early dinner. We've had a perpetual game of Mexican Train going since Christmas night so we'll probably continue that when we get home.

Went grocery shopping then took down the tree and decorations as the realtor is coming Saturday and we are listing the house.

Relaxing…by the pool at our hotel in Cocoa Beach. Had a late lunch at Squid Lips, a new place for us. It was great!

Not everywhere in Canada is closed. I am in BC and Walmart is open today as is our local mall…just holiday hours.

Oh didn’t know I guess I will say Ontario ,Canada is shut down for the holiday.

Sometimes the Easton Shopping centre is open on a holiday because it is in a tourist area in Toronto.

My parents left this morning and I was in the mood to get stuff done.

-tree down
-decorations collected from around house to pack
-2 loads of laundry
-returned items to 2 stores
-picked up 2 ornament storage boxes
-filled new storage with ornaments I had been repacking into their original boxes, this is so much faster now that storage is easier to access.
-picked up prescription refills

I cooked a bunch of meals the last few days so today has been all day leftovers.

I love the decluttered feel after holiday items are packed up!

My parents came over for our traditional New Years Day meal - pork and sauerkraut. They left about two hours ago and now I’m doing a load of laundry and watching the Rose Bowl. I’ll probably read later and go to bed early. A low key day here.

I worked, then went indoor skydiving and then to a Greek restaurant for dinner. Currently hiding under the covers hoping to sleep soon.
