If you could only eat one cookie the rest of your life (and never taste another cookie)

Hard for me to choose. If it is a store bought Cooke, it has to be regular Oreos, no double stuff or different flavors.
If it is a home made Cooke, it has to be chocolate chip, no nuts. Preferably Toll House recipe.

When I was young, I was intrigued by the black & white Cooke. Grew up in North Jersey, outside of Manhattan. I was disappointed when I finally got one as it is more cake like than cookie like. Was not impressed at all.

My homemade m&m cookies

*that sounds kinda snooty that they need to be mine, but I love mine
:goodvibes I'm not really a cookie person - I can't remember the last time I bought packaged cookies and I could probably go the rest of my life without ever eating another cookie of any kind and not miss them. BUT...I totally agree with you that if I had to choose, it would definitely be something I bake myself in exactly the way I like it. I make some great ones at Christmas and I'd have a hard time choosing a favourite between the jam thumbprints, whipped shortbread and old family recipes for gingersnaps and coconut meringues.

If I could only have one cookie forever, it'd be a Peanut Butter Cowboy Cookie -- homemade, of course. I prefer the peanut butter base to a "plain base" you'd have in an ordinary chocolate chip cookie -- they're kind of a halfway point between an oatmeal raisin and a chocolate chip cookie. And a cowboy cookie incorporates a bit of oats and coconut flakes into the base, giving it some "chew". Thick in the middle, Cowboy cookies have either chocolate chips OR M&Ms and other mix-ins.
Because the 'stuff' is where it's at 😉
Gotta disagree. Original Oreos are superior ... it's not about "more"; it's about the right ratio/proportion of cookie to "stuff".
Perfectly baked giant classic black and white cookie. 😋
I bought these once from the grocery store. They were relatively expensive, and the taste was just average. Since so many of you seem to love them, I assume the grocery store type I tried was sub-par.
All NY’s know this cookie well. My grandma (may she R.I.P.) always made the best ones in my opinion. My dad knows the recipe but still won’t give it to me yet (LOL). Here’s one I found online:

Honestly, every recipe I've ever tried from Sally's Baking Addiction has flopped. I actively avoid her recipes, but The Brown Eyed Baker has never let me down.
Girl Scout Thin Mints, preferably frozen. But I can do room temperature.
I was just thinking, "Is no one going to say Thin Mints?" I mean, they are an institution, and I absolutely adore them -- and I'm NOT even a big fan of mint! Again, these cookies are just the right ratio/proportion; that small mint taste is "just enough" without overwhelming.

Funny about the black and whites, I’m from NY and never thought about them being exclusive to the region. I love them, but only for special occasions, and agree with pp that they’re more like cake. As a kid, my parents would cut them so I’d only eat a half (of the big ones that are about 5”). Also love Italian cookies from a bakery, especially rainbow and pignoli cookies, but they’re also too rich to eat all the time.

This is way too hard. Cookies are my favorite dessert. Whichever one I'm eating is my favorite at that moment. There are few homemade cookies that I don't love but even fewer mass-produced, store-bought that I will waste calories on.

I love snickerdoodles, chocolate chunk, oatmeal raisin, pb, sugar, soft ginger cookies, Mexican wedding cakes, and Tollhouse pan bar cookies (so much better than regular Tollhouse).
