***Official March 2021 Thread***

I recommend Tiffins in Animal Kingdom and dinner at Topolino's Terrace at the Riviera. Those are both notably good. Yachtman Steakhouse is excellent, but they're closed now, unfortunately.

I am dying to try Topolino's! I have dinner reservations for March but the added layer of complication is we may need to push our trip back a week and there is NOTHING available right now for either breakfast or dinner if we end up there March 12-15. If we can't go in March I am definitely not missing my window for our September trip.

Whenever you go to Topolino's, have the gnocchi as your antipasto dish. It's great.

Tomorrow is my dining day and I have 1 restaurant I want and can’t think of anything else🤦‍♀️

I have to say that the last two times we have been (July/October) we have come to enjoy just eating when we want and ordering quick service. The only reservation we had was at Beaches and Cream in July. I will be making any ADR's this weekend for our March trip and may make a couple but will still do mostly quick service.

Apologies if I struck a nerve, I didn't mean to insinuate that everything on-property is garbage, just that generally speaking there isn't a ton to write home about and to me that's just kind of part of the experience, you're not going to find Michelin-worthy dining at the parks or even something comparable to like Shake Shack most of the time. Even TS meals we had in September with the exception of Disney Springs were OK but nothing overly memorable. I wish it weren't the case because for the price I'd appreciate something more in flavor and quality like a traditional fast food chain. Again, just my opinion!

I would say pretty much everything I have tried at festivals in Epcot have been pretty amazing, I mainly eat vegetarian though. All the restaurants in Morocco are very good to me, in Animal Kingdom I like Mr Kamal hummus and Yak & Yeti, plus imo excellent counter at Satu'li., and always fond some interesting things on buffet in Tusker and Boma when those were open. I basically love about any soup Disney makes in parks and resorts, especially their tomato basil and it is in a lot of locations. Jungle Navigation usually has an excellent soup and love their curry. In DHS I like docking bay and Brown Derby. Plus really too many more to post here, but we always find something memorable and a reason to go back at the resorts too.

Gah! Do any of you use KTP or TP crowd calendars to plan your park days?

Normally not, but I though KTP quit doing crowd calendars, but maybe that was someone else. I actually went to look and didn't see one for March 2021 but saw the March ones for January and February. Am I overlooking the March 2021 one?

I see it but I subscribe

Hello- Going March 24-April 1. Taking my two teen Grandkids. We are doing a split trip starting out at CBR then to All Star Movies (and fitting in a day at HS & IOA) and finishing at the Contemporary Resort. A first time at each resort. We also have re-booked for the third time. So happy to find this thread.

I can see March 2021 and I’m not a subscriber. I’ll also add, my opinion only, crowd calendars are pretty pointless these days with no EMH or special events happening.

I'm going over to my daughter's house tomorrow to work on more ears. We are going to try to get some sequin fabric and a few others texture furry/wooly fabric to make tomorrow.

I am at WDW now. Jan 14-22 and returning Mar 6-13 Boulder Ridge with my littles for spring break. Driving from TEXAS. I am exhausted now and hard to believe that I will be back in 2 months.

"Perfect" is very subjective! Are there specific things you're interested in that you don't want to miss? (Dining? Attractions? Chill non-park activities?) I will say, if you're trying to figure out what's a "can't miss" from others' opinions there are definitely some things we all agree we love and other things that I've taken on recommendations and been disappointed in. But we'd all be happy to help catch you up on what to expect - even if you "wing it" you will still have a great trip because discovering new things is one of the best parts IMO!
Thanks! I’m getting answers just by reading through all everyone else’s plans!

Where at in Texas? We drive probably every other trip from Fort Worth. We are flying there for spring break and haven’t decided if we will fly or drive for our thanksgiving trip.

Hey there! We are headed back to the world March 4-10, after last year's epic trip that ended March 8 (and with DH getting COVID). I've had this trip on the book since we got back last time, but my hubby was against it. Then, I got scheduled for my first vaccine, and he gave in! According to recent studies and CDC data (I'm a medical writer so I read the actual studies) the risk to DD2 and DS7 is smaller than the risk of RSV and other common childhood diseases (they both got strep last trip), so WE ARE GOING TO THE WORLDDDDDDD.

We rented points through garycpa on here, and at $15 a point we saved right at 50% on a 2 BR AKL jambo savanna view. My hubby really wanted to stay at jambo because it will be so quiet. The food issue will probably be annoying, but I'm going to order groceries, and we have a car, so we'll be fine. His other condition was that we not go commando and try to do everything, but just enjoy the resort amenities and ride what we can (our last trip we never waited more than 10m using same day FPs, except for the ROTR line, which was about 30m after BG). We're also doing some resort meals so that we can check out future stays.

Our plan so far:
March 4: Arrive MCO 5pm
March 5: AKL, right now we have reservations for Tiffins lunch and Sanaa dinner. We'll decide closer to time what we'll keep.

March 6: Breakfast at Olivia's, peek at OKW pool
Gatorland
pool time
Dinner at CSR 3 bridges weather permitting

March 7: Breakfast at Topo terrace (if we can snag a res, no luck yet), walk over to CBR to see the pool area
Blizzard beach (are we crazy for going on opening day?)
Dinner at Sanaa if we haven't already

March 8: DS and DH go to Legoland
DD & me - MK/Epcot depending on Remy timing. We’ll start at one and hop to the other, probably MK first just because of hours unless we want to RD Remy. Overall goals for the day: Ride FEA and Remy if open, eat epcot snacks, soak in atmosphere and calvacades at MK
Pool afternoon, take out dinner

March 9:
HS am, try for ROTR bg
Lunch at Scifi (again, if we can get a res)
Back to animal kingdom or stay at HS depending on desire, crowds
Dinner at Homecomin'

March 10: flight out at noon

I am thinking about flopping our HS and Blizzard Beach days. Blizzard beach opening day makes me a little nervous re: lines, and I keep reading that HS is crowded whether you go on a Tuesday or a Saturday, so why not just go Sunday?

Does anyone know how park hopping will work with BB? Also, I was not able to buy a hopper plus because my ticket starts before the 7th. I guess I just upgrade when I get there?

So excited for all of us :) :)

That sounds like an excellent plan! Not sure if this time is too late but I have a 10:10 Topo breakfast res on Monday the 8th that I plan on dropping - let me know if you want this time and we can coordinate.

Oh man thank you so much for offering, but my husband and son will be in Legoland that day and I really wanted him to see RR because it's so beautiful!

No worries! Good luck on getting a time - I know I've been stalking the reservations in the app trying to get better times/snag places I wanted to try and have had some successes, it just takes a lot of diligence :tilt: I've also heard people make changes the day before and some have had luck snagging reservations that way too.

We're there the same dates and also closely monitoring Rat news >.>
