CDC says cancel any events with 50+ people for the NEXT EIGHT WEEKS

There goes our trips, rest of the school year, ugh.

In other news we might be hitting Disney this year after all. ;) Told my husband it’s the only thing to cure my depression when this is all over and done.

LOL! When we are finally let loose, I am already planning a super splurgy Disney trip! Will do my part in helping the economy recover.

I know this all needs to be done and we will do our part to be responsible. Plus we have underlying risk factors at home too. But man, it's all still so disappointing.

I saw the latest CDC statement & don’t get why it doesn’t also apply to schools & universities.

I’m half afraid my kids’ college is going to try to go back to in person classes in April.

I don't know but aside from South Korea it looks to me the countries with the highest mortality rates are high smokers. Hoping we are not hit as hard as them.

I also don't understand why malls and movie theaters are still open. Seems like a place people will go now that schools are closed, especially since libraries are closed. Lots of people, lots of crowds etc. in malls. I guess the ban does not include schools or stores though.

We got a notice about 2 hrs after the CDC announcement that the 6 counties in our metro area are closing schools until at least Apr 3rd, on which date they plan to revisit whether to reopen based on the situation at that time.

Why is it more dangerous to gather in a bar or concert hall than to gather in a call center or classroom? I don't get the logic.

this is what I don't understand either. I just posted that malls and movie theaters are still open. It makes no sense. You can't go to a restaurant, but you can go to a movie. You can't go to the library, but you can go to a crowded mall.

Those will close as well. Soon.

From a few articles I have read some theaters have closed or were limiting seating.
