Today was my first 10k, only did the half last year. I enjoyed the 10k a lot, not as much road running as the half obviously. My one complaint is this: the walkers. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fairly newbie runner and I run around a 13min pace, So I’m no speed demon. I don’t care if people walk, I just wish they would follow some race etiquette and move over! I’m talking groups of 4 to 5 people all walking side by side, especially in the spots where the course is particularly narrow. I started in coral C today, DH was in A and didn’t have as much of an issue, which is understandable. I never said a word to anyone, because I get that for some people they will do Disney races for the experience when they would never run that distance anywhere else. I might even be one of those people. But when I finished my race today, my watch showed me at almost 6 1/2 miles. I assume because I spent quite a bit of time dodging people. Mini rant over.
