Lack of communication from Fidelity

Is this common? We signed a contract Thursday and they still haven’t sent us a copy of it or ran the deposit on our credit card. It worries me that they are moving so slow and don’t communicate well. It makes me want to cancel with them but I don’t know if I can without losing the deposit

My understanding is they do not have anyone working on weekends.

That could be be the reason.

Thanks we had everything signed by us and the seller Thursday that’s why I’m not getting why it hasn’t been sent to ROFR yet or we haven’t received a copy signed by both parties. Our other contract everything was signed sent etc within 2 days

I didnt get the signed documents of the purchase when I just sold so it’s possible it has gone to ROFR. I did get a copy as a seller of when the deposit was in Escrow but this was a few weeks after we signed.

Thanks. I guess their process is just different than the other company. Can we still back out at this point? It’s been 6 days since we signed but they haven’t ran our card for deposit or anything f

I imagine if you reach out and state explicitly that you’re looking to rescind, you’ll get a pretty quick answer.

I hate for it to have to be that way :(
Don’t feel bad. The reality is you are completely dispensable and replaceable. If you take comfort in working with a company that fakes that better than Fidelity, you should do that.

Personally, I find the contract that works best for me, sold by a reputable broker, and I stick with whatever patience I can muster.

I understand that, one broker I know of will accept a full price offer even if they already accepted yours so long as the contracts aren’t signed

Call them to find out more details...i went through Fidelity twice, actually likes them a lot owing to the honest prices. Once it is sent to ROFR, it is more between you and the title company, and I always paid more to work with Mason, they are very responsive. So you might be very close...

I spoke to Monera and they haven’t received a contract either even with requesting it twice

I emailed her to get out of the contract. We learned our lesson and for us it’s better to stick to some of the other companies even if it’s a little more pricey

I am in the process of purchasing our first DVC contract through Fidelity and I haven’t been impressed. I signed our contract and then had to contact them five days later asking for an update. They said they received both parties contracts and would be sending it off to ROFR the next day. If I hadn’t reached out I would have no idea where things stand. Which is frustrating for me since I’m the type that has everything organized and like updates. If I purchase another contract it will definitely be through another brokerage even if that means paying a higher price per point.

We just made an offer on one 2 weeks ago at fidelity. Took a week to received the signed contract and for them to run our card for the deposit. I'm not worried as there are no points on the contract for 2020 anyway. We dont plan to use it in 2021 either just bank the points. its a small contract for a great price so hopefully it passes rofr but we are not worried. I think they are slow because of First American. I have read many bad things about there speed.

I recently purchased through DVC Resale Market, I made the offer 1/2, accepted that night, contract emailed to me 1/3, I electronically signed on 1/3, got an email on 1/4 morning (Saturday), saying they received signed contracts from both and submitted for ROFR. However, I did not receive a copy of the contract signed by both parties. Since they were electronic, I don't know if there's a way they combine.
I just made an offer with them for 100 AKL points!

They are very slow. I was not impressed. We had several communication issues, and when our offer finally got taken in ROFR, we moved on to a different, smaller company and had amazing customer service.

We're pretty new to DVC but have been very active across multiple sites. The least responsive has been Fidelity. From initial bids, to updates on signing papers, to ROFR process, they are consistently 2 steps behind the other sites.

The pricing is ever enticing on multiple listings; but the service has been cut rate level and you definitely feel it during the whole arc.

My last interaction with the last agent made me very suspicious of them playing multiple offers simultaneously with slow responses, which is poor form at best.
