"Official" 2018 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Holiday Magic

Are we crazy to do a party on arrival day? Our flight lands at MCO at 2PM on Thur 11/29, which means we will need to leave our house about 7AM. We are renting a car and staying off property at Marriott Grande Villas. It is just DH and me.

If I were you, my only concern would be what if your flight is delayed. Even if your flight were to be delayed by a couple hours you should be fine if you are arriving at 2, but I never want to risk anything with a non-refundable ticketed event. Just something to consider. If you arrive on time, you should be in great shape.

What do people usually wear to the party? We've never gone before so not quite sure what to expect.

I ordered a really cute Christmas Mickey shirt on Etsy and I'll be wearing some comfy sweat pants! :)

I was looking at some shirts on etsy last night. It's hard to know who to order one. I want one that is going to look good and hold up for at least 1 night, haha!
I'm obsessed with Etsy.. they have so much!!!

A few years ago when Disney had the limited edition attractions shirts my sister and I bought Christmas Figment/Dreamfinder shirts and Jingle Cruise shirts. I've lost a lot of weight since then so mine are a couple sizes too big.
I just went on Etsy last night and saw they have a Jingle Cruise and a Figment one with present and santa hat.
I think I'll buy them so my sister and I can be sort of matching each day.

I did think of that. Flying out of Boston in November, we could get a snow or ice storm. Or 70°. I might wait to see the weather forecast until I buy party tickets. We got a great deal on 5 day park hoppers. I wouldn't want to miss it and waste the money, but we'll still have saved some rather than if we had regular priced tickets.
