I love credit cards so much!

Well my plan isn’t working. After 35 mins on the phone with Chase recon I’m still denied for the CIC. I tried for this card back in April and couldn’t get it either. Do I move on? And just try for the CSP/CSR? They said my credit limit is too high with them. I just lowered them all back in May and I’m way under 50% of income. Think it would be easier to get the CSP/CSR over the CIC? Should I do the Amex SPG personal and lux still? Ugh, I wish this would have worked lol now my decisions got a lot harder
They wouldn't lower credit limits?

Did you order a GC?
2 $25 Disney GCs
Sorry for multiple posts... is RMN only on online orders? I was under the impression people were shopping in store, but I haven't been reading carefully. If so, I guess I can forget using it lol.
There are both online and in store offers, and they are different.
Staples online did not trigger the CB for me but in store did. Hope it works for you!
Staples worked for me once, haven't tried again. Figured why not :)

Hmm wait I do have a Walgreens by work... wouldn't be going to my MSRs but could use CF to buy a VGC for 5x...

That’s still a net gain, since you earn 5x UR using Freedom at Walgreens this quarter, and the activation fee is like $5.95 (or $6.95?), which is 1.19% (or 1.4%) on a $500 card.

There are in store offers and online offers. You have to activate the offer you want to use.

Can you look on credit karma to see if the account is showing closed if so I’d think you’d be ok...mine closed and I applied for the CSR 2 days later and was auto approved....hope you are too
CK looks to update every 7 days and I logged in there sometime last week, so I can't get a new enough report yet. :(

Ugh, that stinks! I was so rooting for you with this plan! I would think lowering in May would have done the trick.

I just got my Priority Pass Select card in the mail. Can't wait to use it :-)
Nice...I ordered mine a few days after you....think the only airport we use that has one is MCO....so not sure how much use it will get

I just used mine for the first time recently at MCO. The tomato basil soup was soooo good! Paired it with some wine and cheese. Excellent way to spend time waiting for my flight!

old cat 7 so I can use at a new cat 5. Seems maybe prudent to hold off since it will reset the year window...thus giving us extra time to use it.

My thinking as well...Though I'm wondering if not jumping on this soon is a bad idea. Right now, Marriott is feeling the heat so they may be more apt to honor upgrading requests. I'm not sure. Hoping for some DP's soon to see how the dust settles for others wanting to upgrade.

I didn’t know that one card is primary....is there a way to tell which card...I have 4 cards showing open in my personal and 2 in my business
the first account you open with chase apparently becomes the primary account. Since I closed my sw bus I had to call them. Then they made the CIP primary. Hoping the CIC is approved and once it is I'll call and get the CIC changed to my primary that way I can close the CIP.

I'd move on from the CIC. For whatever reason their Biz side of the business seems to be done with you.

Before applying for CSP/CSR: FWIW I've seen reports Chase CLs top out at anywhere from 75k-95k no matter your income. If you're in that range of CL extended I'd drop more before trying CSP/CSR double dip.

Thanks...makes sense...my first chase card is my Disney no fee card which I’ve kept....on the business side I’ll be cancelling my SW card in October so I guess I’ll be calling in then.....my plan is the same as yours lol...get the CIC....then in May when the CIP is a year old cancel it
