***Official Super December 2018 Thread***

Are there desert parties out for Jingle Bell Jingle Bam yet? I can't seem to find them on the website. Just making sure I wasn't missing something

Not yet. If it follows last year's release, it should be sometime soon (I think it was Aug 7 or 9 last year).

There is a "watch/info" thread that you may want to follow. I'm sure someone will post there when the dessert party opens up or any info is available.

In 2015 I had a kidney transplant after two years on dialysis. Prior I would visit twice a year. Even while on dialysis. Since then I have had multiple infections, cancer, three weeks in hospital with a virus that almost killed me. Because of being off my feet so long, lost the ability to walk for almost two years. After two years of hard work I am now walking (at 90%), and I just scheduled my first trip home in over three years December 8-16. I will be celebrating being alive and getting my life back.

May you have continued good health!

I just booked our first Christmas in WDW! I'm doing a split stay at WL and BC. First time doing a split stay, and first time traveling without the husband because he can't get that time off work. I know the week of Christmas is a crazy time to go, but I want to give my kids a do-over. We just came back from Disney and my daughter dislocated her knee there, and spent the whole trip in a wheelchair.

I hope it’s a great do-over!!

Anyone notice that crowd level projections according to touring plans in December have gone down? For my dates dec 7-16, crowd levels are down to 2-6 while they originally were lots of 8s and 9s before. Great news overall but a little skeptical.

Same for me, I’m there the week before Christmas and it’s went up and down...it’s currently down but I’m sure it will change a few more times...but here’s to hoping for good crowds!

I feel like I should be doing something for my trip. But there's nothing to do!! Rooms booked. flights booked. ADRs booked. Party booked. Can't do fastpasses yet. I'm getting so impatient!

I hear you! I've been keeping busy by running my Swagbucks to earn Disney gift cards. I have also been walking three miles several times per week to increase my fitness and endurance. Gotta get in shape for Disney!

Hi there everyone! We are officially booked for 12/7-12/12 at Caribbean Beach Resort. We were just at WDW 7/25-7/31 and we all fell in love. We couldn’t wait to go back so we booked again for DH Christmas time off at work. We needed to keep it down to a budget trip this time, as the last time we went (also our first time) we thought it would be a once and a lifetime trip and we wouldn’t be back. Therefore, we really did it up big. Dessert parties, deluxe dining plans, memory maker, etc. Well... going back so soon, we will have to keep it down to a budget. No memory maker, downgraded to quick service (tried to talk my husband out of the plan, but he is a big eater), the only splurge is MVMCP. I gotta tell y’all availability for when we really wanted to go 12/5-12/11 was mighty slim. Does it always book up fast for December or is that still catching some of the thanksgiving crowds hanging around?

Pop Warner, the cheer & football tournament, is 11/30-12/8. They take up the majority of rooms at the All-Stars and have the option to upgrade to CBR or CSR (most don't because of the cost). Teams are primarily focused on their competitions, but will spend some time in the parks. Because not everyone plays on the same day, crowd impact is low. You'll just notice lots of groups of tweens, perhaps at your resort. I wouldn't worry about it too much (I'm certainly not, my whole trip overlaps it).

Combine that with the fact there's always good discounts in early December and Christmas decorations, and you've got a recipe for Disney regulars to want to visit. It won't be that crowded in the parks despite the hotels being filled up. People are just able to afford the Disney hotels instead of being pushed off-site.

What time does counter service usually close in the parks? I know in MK Cosmic Ray's stays open late, but I read elsewhere that the others close at 6 or 7? Is this correct? There are no hours listed for the counter service locations for December yet.

We have the exact same split stay booked! (It's our first split too.) And I remember your story from the other thread...I hope this trip ends up being all that your family hoped it would be the first time around, and more. :)

They have released the FEA dessert party though end of December and is bookable.
I see that it's bookable, but I've been trying and trying, and nothing happens when I click on the time. I've tried an incognito window and Firefox, and I can't get it to work. So frustrating!

Right click on the time slot and open in a new window. It should work:)
