Cider on draft?

Do you know of any place on property that serves hard cider on draft? I've only ever seen it in bottles or cans. Thanks!

I've just had a quick look on allears.net and the baseline taphouse in Hollywood studios has cider in tap. As pp said, the rose and crown does strongbow but that's a poor excuse for a cider, its really disappointing that with all the great ciders we have in the uk they went for strongbow... I've seen that some places do bottles of angry orchard and this is a definite step up from strongbow!

I found out about Rose and Crown whilst looking for cider from Brittany or Normandy which is what I really want to drink. A nice perry would work as well- seen any of that around in WDW?

I drink a bit of cider and like craft beer and ale so I'm always on the lookout for new things in the world! Most ciders I have tried are from the west country of the UK cornwall/devon/Somerset etc so I'll admit I don't know much about French cider. I can't say I've ever seen a Perry anywhere but there are a few locations around the world that have different ciders and I've seen a selection of raglan Road before. I think the best bet is the food and wine and flower and garden festivals. Even worse, it's the overly sweet Strongbow made for the US market, not even the kind you can get in the UK.

I also can't believe they went for harp, boddingtons and bass! And I won't even get started on the half and half's and black and tans... definitely not concoctions you'd find in English pubs!

That's the thing, they are going to put out there the familiar name and the sweet stuff because that is what the mainstream market knows. Sadly like you said it is far from the best. I am a novice Cider and Adult Beverage drinker since I have only been legally able to drink since the age of 19 and I just recently turned 21. I do however try to find the more obscure stuff as it seems to be better.

Craft ciders are definitely a better bet. I'm lucky to live in an area where they're big (there's an annual cider festival nearby with tastings from 90+ brands from North America and Europe, it's AWESOME). I can't drink many of the mass produced ones anymore because they're too sweet (Angry Orchard, US Strongbow, etc.).
The Rose and Crown did have regular UK Strongbow until they stopped selling it entirely in the US. It was much better then.

The only cider I drink in the US is Bulmers irish cider, the name is changed to Magners for import to the US. We have a bar that used to have Bulmers on tap and that's how I got hooked, I have yet to find a cider I enjoy like Bulmers. Oh and theres even a difference in taste from the US Bulmers and Magners.

The best one I have had here in Canada is from a local Cider Farm called Spirit Tree. It is the Applelager and it has a really good taste.

A true perry, is unusual and rarely made in large quantities, so I doubt you will ever see one at WDW. For the volume of people they serve for anything, it needs to be something mass produced, even their "craft beers".

In the last decade perry and cider has made a sustained comeback particularly on the east and west 2 coasts. Probably cider is more readily found than perry but hey if you don't ask you'll never know is my way of looking at it. I can't say whether my current faves are considered crafted and the size of the batches but when one is not available at local shops I just try a new one. In my state you still can't do mail order for alcoholic products instate but I'm not sure about interstate. There is a perry (and yes they also make traditional hard cider) you should keep an eye out for put out by BlackDuck Cidery. It's located in the Finger Lakes region of NYS.

I'm waiting patiently for Stitch to go away on the Wine Bar George menu link at Disney's website. Last place I can think of to find French cider or perry on property. Allears.net has a partial list of what's on tap but that's only wine. They do have a sub title named "Beers and Ciders" but no proprietary names.

There's a definite difference between draft and bottled. I had it on draft in Ireland and thought it was fantastic, then had a bottle at home and it was not as good. Still better than the mass produced US stuff, but not as good as I remembered. Went back to Ireland again and it was still great on draft, so it wasn't just rosy memories.

I like a lot of ciders from Artifact, Prospect, Crispin, Downeast, Bantam, New England Cider Co. Aside from Crispin they're all fairly local, so I'm not sure how widely available any of them are.

You beat me to this! I was so disappointed to find out that it was the horrible sweet strongbow they sell in US. The wait staff isn’t happy about it either. Had a long talk with a couple of them about our love of English ciders. I travel to uk frequently and have been a fan for years. It’s so awesome to see the growth in us market and craft cider places popping up. My faves on this side of pond are magners, blackthorns, and golden stare cider.

THIS!! I see from previous posts too that I'm not alone in my feelings about this. I'm so disgusted they stopped selling the real stuff stateside. When I was in the UK, I loved both Strongbow and Magners.
