Disney Gift Card Deals

Alert regarding Best Buy's Disney Variable Gift Cards: My store got a new batch sometime over the last week. We started buying variables today after clearing out their 50s and then I noticed one ring up as Red Lobster. The csr voided it and typed in the code on the package and it happened again, grabbed another card and that one rang up Disney. We bought 5 variables in total at the end and the csr had to put 4-5 to the side because they rang up "Red Lobster". None of us were willing to risk whether or not they would be Disney, the csr just voided it out if rang up Red Lobster and tried another until she got one that rang up as Disney. SB still showed on the receipts.
I'm in Central CA.

I've done this one before, and I don't expect a problem, but I will definitely report back. Every once in a while I won't get a congratulations email. Luckily, I've never had a problem getting an Amex rebate when buying gift cards (knock on wood).

I had a Total Wine offer that took like 3 weeks to come through but it eventually did, hope this one is significantly faster!

I remembered others doing this a few months back, so I split payment today for the first time - LOVE that you can do this! I haven't received the confirmation email from Amex yet either, which is a bit odd (hopefully no issues).

Regarding unactivated cards (Sam's Club cards I mean) . . . the issue seems to occur when people try to use their gift cards BEFORE clicking through the Sam's Club email to activate. Then its a royal pain to fix (my mother had this problem).

I ordered this morning and didn't receive the Amex "Great news you used your offer" email either. I also didn't get an email for the Omaha Steaks offer I used yesterday.

You should be able to see it under "Saved" in your Am Ex. account. I see all mine there that I've done, I have never received a Congrats email, not once.

I had a setback today in my recovery and my sweet grandmother bought me a $35 Disney gift card today. Not much but it made me so happy. I’m getting so close to my goal for a 3 day Disneyland ticket. I wanted to earn it solely through passive income. I currently have $135 in Disney gift cards and $50 left to convert. I’ve earned $100 through Swagbucks and $50 through Coin Star. Only $95 left to go! I plan on going during Labor Day weekend or Thanksgiving week. Can’t wait to earn the rest.

Did anyone follow up on using a BB Reward certificate (not the CashStar bonus, but an actual BB Reward Zone or whatever it's called) cert for a gift card? I just got a $10 reward today and I can't remember if anyone ended up trying this.

YMMV some said they are working others said cashiers aren't letting them use it. Best I can say is give it a go and see what happens.

I used a $25 rewards certificate last week and bought a $25 Disney gift card ONLINE and it went through without an issue. I ordered it Thursday and it arrived Saturday. I have not tried in store yet since the last time I was there, they specifically told me that the rewards certificates could not be used. Since I don’t need to buy anything else right now, I don’t want to go to the store just to ask them to try it after they already told me it won’t work.

I purchased the Kroger visa gc $100 (plus activation) and used it to buy Disney $100 on Sunday during the 4x fuel points. I received only 426 fuel points in my Kroger membership today. Is there more of a delay for 2 purchases in one day or did I miss it somehow? It says ecpn 4x wk342 on one line then 2x rewards on two other separate lines for both of my receipts.

You should have received the points immediately. Was it a fixed $100 Visa gc or was it one where you choose the amount? The loadable ones where you choose the amount don't work with the 4x promos. If you purchased the fixed $100, then you should have received 4x for that and then another 4x when buying the Disney card. Kroger customer service is pretty good about crediting any missed points.

The visa was fixed $100 but they only had the Disney cards where you choose the amount. At the register I choose $100 for the Disney gc. I will give them a call tomorrow. Thank you.

I have never had to click through an email to activate, but it's been a while since I've ordered cards online. Is this new? I guess I'll find out.

Did you just purchase today? That is awfully fast shipping. I was going to wait until we came back from vacation (leaving soon). However

The Disney loadable is fine. Its the Visa/Mastercard/Amex that have to be fixed.

Got an offer in my email this morning for the Groupon invite only Starbucks deal, $5 for a $10 gift card. Used Apple Pay which triggered the deal for $2 off a $5 purchase using Apple Pay that's on my Amex blue preferred. So...$3 for $10 Starbucks.

I think the issue is that once you load the 4x Fuel coupon it's only good for your first purchase no matter how many you buy. What many have been doing is buying one $100 Visa and maybe $150 in Disney to equal 1,000 in fuel points which will give you $1 off for a total savings of $35 off on ONE fill up. We use two vehicles so we max out on this deal.

Then with our $100 Visa Gift Card we go to Best Buy to purchase 2 - $50 Disney Gift Cards in two separate transactions using QR codes from Swagbucks. When using the QR codes your earning points which can be used to purchase discounted gift cards but you have to have a Swagbucks account. Do you have one?

Usually my 4x coupons say "unlimited use." This time we used the 4x 3rd party gc coupon twice, and the Visa/MC 4x coupon once.
