*** The Official September 2018 Thread *** let's get started to have some fun

We will be at POP Sept. 4th -12th. Modified my reservation to FD this morning, so excited!

I'm trying not to get too anxious this far out, but I'm already having some hurricane fears. We have never travelled to WDW in September before. Really my biggest fear/worry is flight cancellations due to weather. I've never had to deal with that before so I'm not sure what to expect. I don't care about rain so much, unless it effects my MNSSHP lol. I'm just going to continue to keep my fingers crossed! :scared:

Hi! We’re gonna be in WDW about 4 day’s after you. We’ve been going in September for a while and last year was the first time we were effected by the storms. We were in WDW when Irma hit. It wasn’t ideal, but Disney really pulled out all the stops for the storm. I’m from South Florida and I’ve been through my fair share of hurricanes. Don’t stress it! You’ll see it coming well in advance, but the odds of not having another are favorable. :thumbsup2

Anyone else waiting for the Frozen Dessert Party to open up? I need this piece of the puzzle!!!

YES! I wish they’d just post the dates already. I have two days it would work, one better than the other. I need that and the Fantasmic! dessert with VIP seats then it’s FP and before ya know it I’m on a plane!:hyper:

I was planning on booking the FEA dessert party and my silly behind mentioned it to DH who said the dessert parties weren't worth it (we did the MK one) :headache: I shouldn't have said anything I just should have booked it lol

Can't book it yet anyway, so you can always let him forget! :D

I just wanted to suggest the same thing. :rotfl2: And it IS what I usually do, when I am told not to book something - book it anyway, then say, "but I told you before I booked." He never remembers anyway.

I may just play the " I don't remember you saying that" or the " but I booked it before you said that" ...LOL

We will be there 9/7-9/16. We originally booked the POR Royal Rooms for my DD's 3rd birthday but when free dining was annouced, it wasn't available there. We decided to go with the AKL. Deluxe resort and free dining for a better price. Win-Win! We did WL last time in 2013 and it was amazing. My DD is excited to see the animals too.

Hello all! Doing the happy dance for our trip 9/6-9/12 at ASM. I'll be celebrating my birthday with my boyfriend- and it's his first trip since he was a teen. Lots of excitement all around!

So I have been looking over my itinerary and I am pretty happy with it. I think it has a good mix of park days and resort/sleep in days. The only things I would like to add are an ADR at the Plaza during MNSSHP (which isn’t available yet) and also Club Villain and Villain Sinister Soiree (if they bring them back...I have money set aside in case both come back but am now doubting they will). I will obviously have to make FP selections when able, as well :)

So the itinerary is:

Monday, September 3: Flight lands at MCO at 9:00 AM, hoping to be at AKL by 10:30 AM. Room most likely won’t be ready, so we will swim, get some food at Mara, and explore the resort. Head to Disney Springs in the evening for dinner.

Tuesday, September 4: Early Morning Magic at MK, then over to AK around 11:00 AM. Tusker House ROL dinner package at 5:00. Can’t wait to ride EE in the dark!

Wednesday, September 5: PPO at Garden Grill in Epcot. May be back to AKL for mid-afternoon break and then return back to Epcot in the evening for Illuminations. But if we can make it the whole day, we will.

Thursday, September 6: Sleep in, go to Typhoon Lagoon, and then check out the Boardwalk in the evening.

Friday, September 7: AK in the mor ing and then MNSSHP 1 of 3. We plan on focusing on riding rides and trick or treating during this party. Hoping to eat at the Plaza when dinner ADR’s become available, as well.

Saturday, September 8: Switch resorts! Move over to the Poly, eat late breakfast at ‘Ohana, and then head over to HS. Dinner at Sci-Fi. Will see either Fantasmic or Star Wars fireworks (whichever DD10 prefers).

Sunday, September 9: Epcot in the morning and then MNSSHP 2 of 3. We plan to focus on meeting the characters during this party. We will get a quick meal at Cosmic Ray’s.

Monday, September 10: Resort day! Swim, enjoy the resort, head over to GF for dinner at 1900 Park Fare, then back to the Poly to watch the Electric Water Parade and HEA from the beach.

Tuesday, September 11: Water park in AM and then MNSSHP 3 of 3. We will just enjoy the party and experience whatever we missed and ride rides. 5:00 PM ADR at LTT.

Wednesday, September 12: Bon Voyage Breakfast and then we will go to whatever park my daughter wants. We will then head to MK later for a 9:55 PM ADR at BOG...MK is scheduled to close at 10:00 that night so I am hoping for some nice low crowd evening pictures on Main Street after we eat :)

Thursday, September 13: MK all day...FoF lunch package at Tony’s, HEA Dessert Party with Garden Plaza viewing. May take afternoon break since the Poly is so close.

Friday, September 14: Departure day. The flight got changed to 8:00 PM so I am seriously considering adding an extra day to our tickets and heading to whatever park DD would like to go to. Or we will sleep in and just go to a waterpark until 3:00ish. Then goodbye Disney <3

Ugh I can’t wait. I hate to wish my summer away but September cannot get here soon enough!

Been keeping an eye on flights and now United is cheaper than Southwest. Still trying to decide if I should buy now or wait to see if it goes down any more.

DH says no to everything that costs extra money, so I don't mention it again, he forgets, and I book it anyway. Then when we're doing whatever it is he originally said no to, he loves it. :rotfl2:

Me and DH is going Sept 5th-26th from the UK, staying at POFQ with free QSDP. We originally booked CBR, but I wasn't happy with that choice as they extended the refurbs. We only booked it because there was no availability at POFQ anyway, so when I found a room there, I changed it straight away as it's our favourite :yay: We might still change resorts again as we're tempted to try a deluxe, but we'll have to wait and see if we can afford it first.

This trip will be a more relaxed one for us. We don't have much planned in advance, except for a couple of reservations that needed booking in advance. So far we've got breakfast booked at Garden Grill and BOG, dinner is reserved at Akershus, The Edison, Planet Hollywood, Mickey's Backyard BBQ, T-REX and for lunch Dine with an Animal Specialist at AKL, Sci-Fi Dine in Theater & H&V. We've also booked the HEA dessert party and we're waiting for the FEA to open up to book as well. The Dine with an Animal specialist is a surprise for DH as he's very interested in wildlife and he used to volunteer at a zoo, so I know he'll love it :cutie:

A DISmeet! :D Ours is at 8:05!

Our’s is at 8:00! We will be the mom and daughter who will either be struggling to stay awake or face down on the table because we have never done a PPO ADR before lol. Going to a Disney park before 11:00 AM will be a first but we are excited!

So excited to join in here. Used up all of our DVC points on a huge trip this month, so didn’t think we’d be able to go back until September next year. Plus our AP’s just expired. But my sister and her kids are going in September and got FD, so we just HAD to get in on the fun. Kids are so excited to go for the first time with their cousins. When we figured out that we could bridge those required hoppers to AP’s, plus get free food- basically paying for next September tickets too......it was a no brainer. I have to admit, I’m a little nervous to stay in a value for the first time in a long time, and coming off our trip this month split between a 2 bedroom at kidani and poly theme park view. But hey, we’re going with my sister that is a park commando, so we will probably not be there much. But that 140 countdown looks much better than the 500 it was at. :cheer2:
