I'm shamefully behind!

No worries, life gets busy. I'm just glad to "see" you! :yay:

I feel this way about our wedding. I remember flashes and bits and pieces...but the night before, on our way to the town where we were having the wedding, a guy backed into my car. So...I remember that part, LOL!

Oh my goodness!! Not one of those memories you plan to make the night before your wedding! o_O

Hi there!

Just got back to DISboards and regular :-)rotfl:) posting and came across your TR. I had to skip the chit-chat, but LOVE your chapters! Looking forward to A LOT more.

You are a beautiful bride! ........ and your new haircut suits you very well. Congrats on becoming a cat-mom.

Hi Karin! :welcome: Thanks so much for reading! I've got lots more to share—it's just a matter of finding the time (which I'm sure you can relate to!) and then not swamping you all with updates when I do have the time! I noticed you were back to posting on your trip report. I'm headed over there to check out your updates soon. :yay: And thank you so much for the kind words!

OMGosh you look stunning!! :)

I love the part where you were scarfing down the donut during the First Look lol! That would be such a "me" thing to do! :rotfl2:

You look beautiful! Thanks for sharing your special day. 3 AM wake up call--that's a challenge! Was that because you have extra extra extra early entry to MK?

Just a quick note that I made all our FP+ for our winter trip!

Yay!

it looks like @fallonkendra and I both got a couple of overlapping Epcot FP for one day of our overlapping trips

Hey! That's great!

In the interest of leaving out zero details, I even include horribly unflattering pictures, because I care for you all that much!

We thank you for your consideration.

And just like that we see the front and the back. Nice! :)

As some of you know, I dress like this for money:

::yes::

Huh! Is using an airbrush normal for this?

Love that shot.
I like how they're both looking on.

Oh, man. I love this shot. Beautiful!

Looking back now, I remember the big events of this morning prep session, but it feels like so much of a blur that I may as well have slept through it...and it's entirely possible that I mostly did.

Ah yes. I believe you may not be the only bride in history to experience that. :)

The only thing that disappointed me about this shoot was that, because of the angle, she didn't get the look on N's face the exact moment he turned around. Which is like 80% of the point. Fortunately, however, my mom kinda did:

While the quality isn't there, your mom's are better.

It's a poor-quality photo, but I love it all the same. :lovestruc

::yes:: Me too!

Amanda shot my shoes. (With her camera! It would be hard to wear them for the wedding with bullet holes in them!)

But in the Florida heat, a little ventilation might've been just the thing.

Soon our ride arrived, driven by Amanda's assistant/second shooter (though I don't think he ended up taking any photos...he mostly positioned lights

A good assistant is sooooooo helpful. And a bad one... isn't.

I thought his name was...something

I know that guy!!

By the way, my shoes are in my hands here because I came prepared and wore flip flops for most of the morning. No regrets there.

Smart girl.

Yep. Mom's are better.

But.... you look stunning.

I forking love The Good Place. I found it on Netflix about 2 weeks ago and binged the first season in one day. Then the next day I caught up on season 2. Love the wedding pictures.

Thank you!!

A girl's gotta eat! I'm a monster when I get hangry, and donuts fit the bill! Glad I'm not the only one who does stuff like this :thumbsup2

You look beautiful! Thanks for sharing your special day. 3 AM wake up call--that's a challenge! Was that because you have extra extra extra early entry to MK?

Thank you!! It was, indeed! If we wanted to have a bridal photo session in the Magic Kingdom, it had to be before the park opened. They start clearing the park in sections something like 60-90 minutes before opening, so our session was EARLY. I'll have to look it up in my wedding files before the next update to double check the time. But it I wanted hair and makeup done before the shoot, it had to be a 3:30 appointment. I'm shuddering just remembering it. We were running on adrenaline at the time, fortunately!

Gorgeous! You make a 3am wake up call look easy :)

Can't wait to see the rest!

Thank you! The adrenaline made a big difference, but it was still not a nice time to get up!

Love your dress! You look amazing in it!

Thank you!! It's such a pretty and flattering dress. I thought about selling it, but I don't think I'll be able to part with it.

I love how he's looking at you longingly as your shoving a donut in your face :rotfl:

That's how you know you've found the one! :rotfl2:

Huh! Is using an airbrush normal for this?

It is! At least sometimes. The company I used offered both options and I chose airbrush makeup because it has a reputation for looking smoother/more natural and lasting longer. There was no price difference in my case. But I definitely don't put my makeup on this way at home...on the rare occasions that I put it on at all. :P

Love that shot.
I like how they're both looking on.

Me, too! I had a good crew to hang out with. :)

Oh, man. I love this shot. Beautiful!

Thank you!!

While the quality isn't there, your mom's are better.

I agree. At least for some of the moments she captured.

But in the Florida heat, a little ventilation might've been just the thing.

:rotfl2:Why didn't I think of that!?

Yep. Mom's are better.

But.... you look stunning.

Agreed. And thank you! I had to look nice to match my handsome date!

I forking love The Good Place. I found it on Netflix about 2 weeks ago and binged the first season in one day. Then the next day I caught up on season 2. Love the wedding pictures.

Such a great show! I got through all the episodes way too quickly. Not quite as quickly as you...but prett close... And thank you!!

We just started watching The Good Place last night! So far, pretty funny!

Hurray for overlapping Fastpasses!

I think we might have booked the same hair/makeup lady! Luckily I don't have a 3am wakeup call (or unlucky because it means I don't get my Magic Kingdom portrait session? :sad2:). I'm sure your excitement/adrenaline made it easy to wake up though!

Hmm, weird angle choice by your photographer. I'm glad your mom was able to catch Nathan's expression - that is the whole point of a first look!

Man, I always feel like I'm doing these updates so rapid-fire...and then I look back and realize that my last update was nearly a week ago.

Same!

(That one ^ goes out to @Raeven, who's the reason I started watching The Good Place. Highly recommend.) (I actually recommend both @Raeven, and The Good Place, now that I think of it!)

 thank you! Did you start the second season yet? It goes some very interesting places. There's been many times where I've thought they've written themselves into a corner, but every time they do something new.

I ended up feeling my makeup wasn't my style, and I felt my brows and eyeliner were too heavy-handed for my tastes

Aw that's too bad. I think for my wedding I'll end up doing my own makeup :rotfl: I used to do theater in school and I would never let anyone do my makeup on show nights because I hate when people touch my eyes and I have sensitive skin that I can only use certain products on. I decided to do my own prom makeup too.

Once we were done...I dunno...looking at each other?

:rotfl:

We booked Laura Reynold's Artistry. If that's who you have then I hope you like her! I thought she was good :) It was hard to get up, but also easy at the same time. Much easier than it would be any other day at least.

I thought so, too. But I think I was so prepared for the worst with our photographer, so I could forgive small transgressions like this one. :)

Hurray for overlapping Fastpasses!

I did! I actually was home sick from school yesterday and got caught up to the most recent episode. I agree! I keep going, "ugh, where will they possibly be able to go from here?" and then they do something I'm not expecting.

I think that's a great idea! If I'd gotten married anywhere but Disney I would have done the same thing. I just sweat like a football player in the summer heat/humidity in Florida, and I knew I wouldn't be used to doing my makeup for those conditions. So I wanted a Florida native to do my makeup and be able to combat the humidity better than I could! That, and I wanted airbrush foundation, which I can't do myself. But I always do my own makeup for special occasions. I also did my own prom makeup, and for my grad pictures, etc.

I can see that, actually.

Of course not.
you have someone to do it for you.

:rotfl2:Why didn't I think of that!?

I should rent out my services to Disney brides.
"Pkondz's shoe ventilation... We cool your toes so you don't have to!"

And thank you! I had to look nice to match my handsome date!

:goodvibes

You looked absolutely gorgeous! :lovestruc The first look photos are so sweet! I think it's probably super important to have a photography crew that you can trust and feel comfortable with, and I am glad to here they fit the bill!

I love your First Look pictures....even though I have to agree that the angle was kind of an odd choice. Love your Mom's pic with Nathan's expression--such a purely magical moment!!!

Plus, I love the donut scarfing :)

Yep, that's who I have booked! I really like her work on Instagram!

Haha, I had to jump in on this conversation. You two always have your makeup done so nice! On my high school prom night, I came downstairs and announced I was ready, and my mom freaked out because I had no makeup on haha - she told me I had to wear it on a special night like that :rotfl:. I so rarely wear makeup, even these days, that whenever I do I always have people telling me how nice I look that day - guess my makeupless face isn't that great . I had mentioned doing my own makeup for my wedding day, and my mom shot that down pretty quickly, and then told me she would pay for me to make sure I actually wore makeup to get married.
