"THINKING" of going to the "darkside" , HR in May for a few days before WDW. Also tried Portofino once and have been to RP twice. Can't beat Express Pass, the BEST!Think HR sounds fun; HAVE A BLAST and would love to hear about your experiences at HR!

We love the location and vibe of the Hard Rock.

I have a very comprehensive (like multiple chapter) review of the Hard Rock at the beginning of my Hijinks and Shenanigans trip report from 2013 (link in my signature). That trip was 3 nights Hard Rock, 4 nights Beach Club. I am currently in the midst of writing my report from our Feb "Freezing Florida" trip to the Darkside/HR if you want to check those out.

And in related, but off-topic news, I checked our Hard Rock room rate last night, and I was FINALLY able to apply an annual passholder rate to our room- saved $80 per night!!!

We got a picture! Still catching up on thread but if I don't see one we will post it if I can figure out how to again. Although I'm not sure it is the same. Our Ally was ther for most of our trips but we heard rumors it had been removed.

Checking in from Vegas! Its hot and Not humid. Spent day in classroom and made decent progress. Not the same in her new residence. Can't even find towels or clothes ..Lily slept in a dress.

Good news ...booked the Fantasy 7 night cruise on October 10th so I will not be at work on October 11th and 12th.

will you be at BC sept 12-19?

Sorry, I should clarify. The split would be solely for the use of SAB. We'd spend those 2 days doing mostly resort-only activities and enjoy SAB rather than going to TL. Other reasons to split would be the FP window and DME.

Also, I don't think we have the extra points to pay for all 4 nights on SPG. Cash would be cheaper at S/D, so that doesn't really count.

Thanks so much for your help. Good to have some confirmation on the discounts. Wish we could see you over at WL again, but I'm scared of the construction and DDs are asking for Epcot.

Just an FYI, Swan & Dolphin guests are also able to book FP+ at 60 days rather than 30.

In that case, I know that the Marketplace sells eggs, butter, milk, etc.; they also sell Mickey measuring cups and measuring spoons, and other cooking utensils (of course, overpriced, but cute). I do not recall seeing baking pans, though. I would think you could bring disposable aluminum pans...lightweight and throwaway. The Boardwalk's Screen Door General Store also carries groceries.

I would think that you would be able to call and find out if they have what you will need. You have a lucky daughter!

We had measuring spoons and cups in our 1 bedroom villa when we were there in June. Can't remember about the cake pans though.

Oh man! Not sure if I should cancel or just show up if we are not too late? Really don't want to be charged the fee! How long do they hold your reservation? 15 minutes or so?
