Super Bowl XLIX Patriots vs. Seahawks

I know it's a little late, but I haven't seen a thread dedicated to the Super Bowl that wasn't "inflate-"centric. So here it is. A thread for the football aspect of the big game on Sunday.

I believe that we have the opportunity for not only a close Super Bowl, but a great Super Bowl. A vaunted defense vs. a balance offense. A variable defense vs. a read/option offense. 2 great special teams. 2 head coaches at the top of their games. The anticipation is already buzzing. And the individual questions are just as good.

Can the Seahawks D handle Gronk?

Can the Pats D contain Wilson?

Can the Legion of Boom fluster Brady?

Can Lynch break through the 320+ pounder of the Pats D-line?

Then you have the x-factors or both teams which are the same. The LB's and the WR's. Which corps will step up most for their teams?

For me, I see the Pats winning 27-23. A lot of conservative field goals in this game as the field postion game will be played like a game of chess.

Belicheat vs The Weasel. Ugh. Only a Steelers/Cowboys Super Bowl would be worse, in my opinion.

Cheering for the New England Patriots! We were also rooting for the Arizona Cardinals! Maybe next year, Cards!

We are native Mainers now living in the Phoenix area. Lots of excitement and fun here in the desert the past few weeks, culminating in the big game on Sunday! We have lots of family and friends back in New England, so we'll be checking in with everyone throughout the Super Bowl.

I haven't watched football regularly for several years. But I am choosing the Seahawks this year for our aunt who lives up there.

We will watch some of the game, but more than likely will switch over to some xbox play or a movie.

All I've heard for the last two weeks is Seattle about how much theyre focused on stopping Gronkowski. While Gronkowski is definitely the biggest offensive asset NE has, leaving Edelman & Blount open to do their thing is fine with me!

I agree with someone above, you need an Other option for those who couldn't care less. I love football but when I don't like either team and there is no way both could lose, I just don't watch. I believe the Patriots will win but I will be going to a movie that night. It isn't even necessary to watch for the commercials anymore since they are always leaked ahead of time.

I'm not much of a fan of KP for halftime but I haven't heard who is singing the National Anthem at the beginning. Anybody know?

You do realize some of there best games have been when Gronk can keep them occupied so Edelman & Blount are open. So the other team ramps up coverage on them & guess who is open?
