New England Disers, brace yourself, 2 ft. of snow coming!

Just got home and checked the latest weather model. Our section of CT is in the 36" or more. :cool1: < that is me dancing, knowing that I'll be having a couple days off of work this week. Here, let me do the happy dance again, :cool1:

Couldn't resist:

Thanks for the good wishes everyone, all I care about is losing power brrrrr

Me too! I don't care if it's 6 feet of snow with the drifts, I just want power!

Happy my kids have school today, early dismissal but they are not home waiting and saying "when is the snow supposed to start?"

Plow is on the truck, tank is full of gas, portable generator is in position and gas cans are full. Did our typical grocery shopping yesterday so food is fully stocked. We're ready!

Central coast of NJ here. Last night they were saying 2-3 feet for us, may have gone down overnight, still trying to find out. Already early dismissal today and my daughter is off tomorrow.

Great!!!! You heading to my house??? Man, central Ma is gonna get nailed!!! And, we have to head down to Mashpee to go to an 11am funeral today....hope we beat the snow home!!! Dang!!!
Milk and bread are good, snowblower is ready, with plenty of gas, 10 boxes of Girl Scout cookies here. Now, if we can just avoid any major power outages.

I second the power comments. I chalk shoveling up as more interesting exercise than a workout video, but I do NOT want to deal with a power outage.

we are in the 24 inch zone! plenty of food and booze stocked. now we just need to find those shovels!
I love a good snow day and we haven't had any yet this year!

If you're close I will. I'm in Leicester/Worcester/Auburn area.

The snow has begun in north Jersey. About an inch on top of the 5 inches we got over the weekend. They say 1-3" today, intensifying tonight to blizzard conditions. The side roads are already slick. Hoping we get out of work early but I doubt it LOL

I'm suppossed to have jury duty tomorrow :headache: If they don't close the courthosue, I'm not going! They can come get me in handcuffs ;)

The salter just went down my street. Yup, that's right putting salt down now is really going to help alot when its going to be covered by 2 ft of snow :lmao:

Stay safe and warm hope cabin fever doesn't set in.

I think it's supposed to make plowing easier - the ice melts the snow (yes, i know you know :)) so the plow blade can or shoukd get right down to pavement.

Hope all you New Englanders stay safe, and don't lose power - but if the wind is as bad as they predict, am sure there will be some power outages.

This deep south girl is terrified of winter storms, guess you just take it in stride when you live up north, like we do with hurricanes. Don't like them, but we learn how to deal with them. I love our heat here though.

First flakes are falling in the Merrimack Valley.

Wouldn't you know, plenty of milk in the house yesterday, so I didn't get any when I went for bread and cereal, and now we're down to the last drops. Darned teenagers eating me out of house and home.

At least we have toilet paper.

DH is supposed to fly into Buffalo tomorrow. Delta already cancelled his flight routing through JFK. He was able to get rebooked through Atlanta. Hopefully, the blizzard misses the Buffalo area.

Stay safe everyone.
