~ Aug 2013~ Sew what... We've gotta find a way back! Part I!!

Hooray for getting your airline tickets booked. Seems like your plans are really coming together. I'm sure you will have an amazing time! Loved V's skirt. It turned out great. And your new bag is awesome. I love how Bambi is looking kind of over his shoulder and Thumper's expression is priceless! Great job!

Sorry all, but I can hardly contain myself...

I have THE most AWESOME travel agent EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, all along, I've been booked with a Military Discount at POR with the Royal Rooms and Pool View... And, holy cow... Sticker shock!

I've been freaking out the entire time, because I was sooo afraid that I couldn't come up with enough cash to pay for this trip...

My TA has been trying for months to get the girls and I into POFQ with the military discount - with no success...

Well, she called this morning to change my dates and there it was.......

:cool1: :cool1: POFQ was OPEN for us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

It saved us over $900 on our trip by knocking off the 2 nights and switching to POFQ...

The girls might be a little heartbroken, because they were looking forward to the Royal Rooms... But - I am sure I can afford them for our BIG Sweet 16 trip in 2014, since we will only be going for 7 days.

So... Not only are we going to Florida... but we won't be sleeping in the Walmart parking lot either... (where is my happy dance guy???)

OK - thanks for letting me Eeeek... And to my WONDERFUL travel agent - if you ever read this... I love you - I really do. :lovestruc

D~ (and if any of you ever need a TA... I'd be happy to pass along her info via PM :thumbsup2)

The Bambi bag is so cute! I never would have guessed! I'm so sorry that Alli's ankle isn't healing fast enough for her, but hopefully she will take it a little easy. I know that's so hard to do when you just want to go go go!

As for reservations, I would cancel one of the Tusker reservations. I ended up canceling our BOG reservation for Aug even though I really wanted to eat there because my 2 year old would eat NOTHING there. What do the girls think of the menu? And if you're trying to save credits, I think I might do the lunch and use a QS credit for it to try it out. Just my two cents for what it's worth! ;)

First off - WHOOT for saving 900 & the girls will just have to ogle the cute boys some other time.

I'd second a meet at the H2O parks...and besides, who knows what kind of antics RuthIE can get up to there.

Fourthly - Ali needs to learn that those crutches and sitting are her friends now, rather than limping around the parks later. Maybe if you drop the WDW bomb, that might get her thinking.

Finally - Sewing for the win!! I have to get into my room tonight, for mental health if nothing else. and I might have some new applique designs to try on the new toy. I'm really curious about the custom that has you scared. I'm hoping you designed a super scary design, not that the process is scaring you.

D if Allison's ankle isn't better take her back to the doctor and have them x-ray again. It is possible it my be broken and didn't show on the initial x-ray if it was too swollen. Also even with a sprain if she isn't resting it properly they may insist on a splint or cast or even a boot. Maybe call the dr and speak to them about your concerns.

WOO HOO on saving so much.

:rotfl2: I am sure the girls will get over not staying in the Royal Rooms because $900 is a HUGE savings. So cool that you were able to get the discount for your new days. :cool1:

As for BoG, when we were at the parks in January the crowd levels were very low. It seemed the line for QS started before 10:30 and was really long. During our 3 days in MK over the course of the week (all weekdays), I never saw that place with out a line. I wanted to eat QS there but I did not want to wait on line - plus there was NO WAY I was going to bet my brother to wait in line for a meal. Of course that was January and I don't know if it still has a line or if you would be willing to wait if it did. Maybe someone who went on a recent trip would know more.

Has anyone heard from Cheryl lately???

YAY for getting your airiline tix. HOORAY! for getting POFQ with the discount!!
Sorry Alli is still not better. That bruise sounds disgusting. Poor kid.
I'm not a huge Bambi lover, but that set is adorable! I totally get the ice skating vibe once you mentioned it. very cute

Finally caught up again.

Soooooo excited for your trip news!!!! Awesome that the airline is now booked and you got your pofq with military discount!!! Now your trip is official, yeah!!!!

I also recently booked the airline, and just in time, as prices went back up. However if I would have booked a week earlier, it was a little cheaper than what I got. Now I'm purchasing my gift cards, several at a time too.

My husband had eye surgery and was home for a week. Going back to work was a little rough for him. He wasn't allowed to lift or bend for that time, so all the potty training was all mine when I was home. And I'm glad the extra days at the MILs house is done. Once summer is here, I'll be off and home with my princess for 2 months, yeah!!!

Loved both bags!!! The castle one is very pretty. And the Bambi one is just precious!!!! Perfection!

I hope Ali's ankle gets better. I played soccer in high school, got a sprain during the game, finished the game and drove home. Bad idea. My foot was so swollen, I barely got my shoe off. Then I tried to get back to soccer too soon and ended up with a second sprain and it took forever to finally heal. If she uses the crutches, the kids might stop giving her grief for walking and not doing track. However, I know how I was at that age, and I would never listen, poor mom.

Wow! First of all, great job on the latest bag and wallet!!

Then, how cool to have your tickets and finalize your dates and plans.

Then, how much cooler to get POFQ!!! Now THAT'S something to celebrate! :rainbow::rainbow::rainbow: And I guess saving $900 is pretty great too.:goodvibes

Allie's ankle isn't getting better because she is not staying off of it. I agree that you should call the doctor if that's what it takes to get her to listen. Kids don't understand how far reaching these things can get. She could be doing real damage to herself. As far as getting another x-ray, it could show something more if it was a hairline fracture and has now become displaced due to walking on it. I like Chiara's idea of an air cast or boot. Tell Allie you'll put her in time out if she doesn't listen. Oh, I guess that ship sailed a looong time ago.:joker: Whatever the solution, I hope something gets through to her and she starts taking better care of herself and gets lots better!! I hate that she's hurting!

As far as the lines for BOG for lunch, a CM explained to us (while we were happily two of the first people in line) that an hour or so after it opens once the first of those waiting in line get through, it actually isn't much of a wait at all. The place can accommodate lots of people and once that first bottleneck empties, it is pretty smooth sailing. Totally worth it. Plus, there's lots to look at while you're waiting...very beautiful!

I hope I don't get too far behind everything while I'm in Virginia. I'll be staying 7 or 8 days. I always miss Dan so much when he's not there. But I miss my girls and their little ones when I'm not with them. You see my problem. :faint:

Way to the flights!!! Much cheaper than Oct fates so I'll have to keep checking to see if they'll drop that low for MEA weekend... Even if it only saves us about $75 with rebooking 3 flights, that's $75! If Delta, have you thought about getting the AmEx? You'd still (theoretically) save $50 on baggage fees after the annual fee...

Super cute Bambi bag. I'm just in awe...

Can't remember, have you done a Snow White bag? I seem to recall Dopey a while back?

Also, great news about your POFQ discount!

Hopefully your not in the part of the metro getting 6" tonight? If so, hunker down, LOL! The frogs are croaking here, lots of rain, so hopefully we're not getting hit with too much!!! Can't wait for the warm up!

Tell Ali to stay off that ankle. As a former athlete and wife of a runner that finished the last 6 miles of a marathon with a busted foot, she'll just do more harm than good, even if it's just a bad sprain. Hard when peers just don't understand at that age. I see it already with DS's U7 soccer - scary! :S

LOVE the new bag, D.

I will definitely let you know if I love BOG as much when I go in June as I did in December.

Yes, I did mean anything you make for Sarah... LOL - but I was actually writing anything that you make - as in talking to you, Sandra... If that makes sense? Maybe I should have had a comma in there somethwere? :confused3 :rotfl2: Either way - I'd love to see anything YOU make. :thumbsup2

And thanks!

I get what your trying to say. I really need to stop posting when I'm half asleep too since that's where I misread most posts. :rotfl2: Right now I'm trying to find a spot to put my sewing machine so I can start something. We're trying to rearrange the living room so I can have a sewing table where I can keep an eye on the kids a the same time. We live in an 1100 sq ft condo so not much space. I'll be sure to share once I do make something.

Saw the new bag and the first thing I did was tag my mom on it!! :rotfl2: I don't think she's too happy with me right now. :lmao: But she loves the bag too so she may be bidding on it!!

Yup - yesterday was a MESS!!!!

It started out just fine - truly. I started off complaining about airfare not dropping on FB... Then many people replied - some of them wanted me to drive... :faint: I replied that, with 2 teen aged dds, we'd be lucky to make it there alive... Then to be stuck in a small hotel room for another 10 days... Then to have to drive back home... Um - yah - no thanks.

So, wouldn't you know it, after all my complaining, the airlines went and dropped fares. Now they couldn't drop them to with in my budgeted amount... but they were close... Much closer than they have been in recent weeks. So, I lamented on FB again... And I texted Josh... It was about 45 minutes later that Josh called me back and told me to book it... With prices lately - I probably wasn't going to get much better. So, I rushed downstairs and booked.

I was able to get the exact flight and airline I wanted again. WHOOT! We are actually on the exact same outbound flight we were for our last trip - and it was perfect, because we got to our resort and checked in just as we were starving for lunch.

I booked an earlier flight home this time. Last time, our flight didn't leave MCO until 7pm, which even though in theory sound nice... It just wasn't nice for us. So, this time, our flight leaves at 1pm... So, basically we can get up and stay in our room until check out - or just a little before. I think it will work out much better for us.

And, incase you are all wondering... I did buy insurance through the airline. I am not sure if this was a smart thing to do or not? I have not done any research on airline insurance, but the only time I could add it was at the time I purchased... And since SO MANY of you recommended it because of hurricaine season - I did buy.

I also paid extra to pick our seats.

I still have to pay for baggage fees though - I did not add that at all... It will be $150 total... 3 checked bags r/t. I can pay for that any time, up to 24 hours before our flight.

And, of course, airfare dropped before Disney released any codes... So, I am locked in to my alternate dates. It's not the worst thing, but I was hoping it would happen the other way. However, I was a SMART girl, and I've been secretly making plans just in case this is how it turns out. :thumbsup2 I had a feeling...

I will update my official "Plans" post at the beginning of my PTR, but here's my new and updated calendar:

Photobucketaugustalternatetripcopy.jpg

As you can see, we arrive one day later and we leave one day earlier. Our water park days are gone... :( Which we are all very sad about. I hope that one day we do get to them - we were all looking forward to it. If I could just talk my girls out of one of our other park days - we still may be able to do it? But our 12 day trip is now 10... Which is NOT a bad thing, I was kind of worried about doing 12 days in the first place... We were so tired after last time. If you are comparing... This trip will be exactly 6 hours shorter than our last one.

I will start updating our Mini Planner pages in a few days... Since I've suspected this change for a while now, I have everything done - uploaded - and ready to go.

**********************************************************

Allison's ankle is not doing so great. I was worried about this, but she refuses to go back on crutches. She has been icing it a lot - but she is not off of it at all, unless we make her ice. The bruising is really starting to appear, and her entire ankle/side of her foot is dark purple. Kids at school and on the track team are giving her grief because she can walk on it, but she can't participate in Track... She is not happy about it and it's causing a lot of stress for her. We are insistant that she does not practice at all for the remainder of the week, for sure... It's very frustrating!

**********************************************************

Yesterday in my sewing room was great! I accomplished all of my goals that I had set for myself.

I finished my auction bag set before breakfast - and even took pictures...

Then I cut out and quilted my custom order bag for the week. It kind of scares me, but I won't tell you why... And I apologize in advance - I cannot show pictures of this bag until the person receives it - because of logostics - that will be sometime in June... :rolleyes1 Sorry about that - but I promised.

I work at Target today... So, no sewing room for me... Sigh. I'll be back at it tomorrow. And since I've decided not to go shopping on Friday, I should have this bag all finished up by then...

I don't have a custom order scheduled next week... I'd originally scheduled the girls' bags for this week, but - gotta pay for this trip. So, this next week will be dedicated to working on my BIG auction items... I hope to make a dent in that project.

Anyways - I hope you all have a wonderful day... I will be back in just a few minutes to post my latest bag set.

D~

Glad you got the airfare situation figured out. Sorry it wasn't for the full trip you were wanting but at least you're going.

Really try to keep Alli off her foot as much as possible. About 2 years ago DH twisted his ankle really bad at work (stepped of a ladder wrong). His foreman was a jerk and basically told him not to be a baby about it and my DH being the way he is just dealt with it. His foot ended up swelling so bad he could barely put it in a shoe, wore a compression sock to help, his foot turned black and blue (not just his ankle), iced it every night from the time he got home from work to the time he went to bed and it took about 2 months for it to finally heal. He still has issues with it too when he does too much walking! He did go to the Dr about it and it was not a break, just a sprain.

Great job on getting all your tasks done!!

Sounds like you have an awesome TA that she was able to help you save and get you into the other rooms!!

Quick drive by...

We LOVED Be Our Guest! We ate there on our last night at Disney. It had only been open to the public a week or so... in fact, our son in law's sister had gone the week prior to us and had gotten an ADR for the first official date open... So a lot has changed since then.

For example, they did not count on how long it would take everyone to eat, look and visit with the Beast... so they are now taking fewer ADRs. For lunch, they were originally not allowing you in the main ball room for lunch...that has now changed (from what I have heard) and you can now eat in any of the 3 dining rooms for lunch.

The menu has changed at least twice since they opened...one was a little tiny change, the other a little bit more ... but they are still a work in progress as far as the menu. While the desserts are all listed as cupcakes...do NOT let that fool you...they are delish!

The atmosphere is fantastic...and all the pictures and videos do not begin to do it justice. It MUST be experienced to believe and should be experienced at least once.

With all that being said... if I were on a tight budget ( either OOP or dining credits) I would eat there for lunch and let go the ADR (Can't believe I am saying that!)...

In June, since we are only one day and it is a birthday trip, Miss B got to pick our ADR, and she wanted to save BOG for November...

Good luck deciding...

Nini

Thanks for the review Nini... I did work some numbers yesterday. Initially - I was thinking I would just pay for CRT oop, but then I figured Sci-Fi and Liberty Tree Tavern - and it would be about $40 cheaper if I paid for those two oop... And that's getting 3 meals at both places, 3 drinks and 1 dessert to split at LTT... So, I think that's the route we will go. With all the savings on our resort, we can afford to keep all of our meals. WHOOT!!!

D- just have a second & out the door suggestion 26th FREE DAY dump the ADR
Chef Mickey ( yeah I hear the fainting as I type) & do water park we'll meet there the girls will have fun, it will be much less frantic than CM

I will consider it Ruthie... It's a lot cheaper for us to pay for an OOP meal, than it is for us to put WPF*M on our tickets... But I will think about it - and I think the girls would have a blast at the Water parks... Do you think that you'll be up to doing a water park by then?

The bag came out BEAUTIFUL!!! I love the MAD thumper!!!
again excellent! BRAVO!!!

Thanks Mo!

Poor kid. i'm sorry her ankle is not getting better but she need to understand if she aggravates that ankle in ANY WAY she is really going to do damage that will last a long time. a break would have been better.. then it would have a cast and she would be off it completely for about 6 weeks. I'm just afraid she is going to have bigger problems later down the road. arthritis setting in, surgeries, etc. Knowing from personal experience. Poor kid right before the weather gets warm and months before the trip. she is going to want to walk around the park!
again.. Poor Alli!!!!

Thank you... I will do an ankle update below...

Ohhhhh, Bambi is cute but Thumper is so funny! That fabric is pretty and I love the lining too. Hope you can get a good start the aucion bags next week. I will be waiting patiently until June for your current custo bag. I can understand the recipient wanting to wait to post the pictures.

Thanks Liz. Me too... That huge auction will go a long way towards our trip funds.

I really hope Allie can stay off her ankle. I had a friend in college who wanted to be better to play sports so he ditched the crutches for a cane. He ended up doing more harm and it took his ankle even longer to heal.

This is what I am worried about...

lovesdumbo - I am glad that everyone in your group was ok. I can't imagine how scary that scene must have been. My sister has lots of good friends in the Boston area and they said the local news coverage is quite graphic. I hope you are doing well. ((HUGS))

Hugs and prayers to all.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO they have GOT to try Chef Mickey's at least once!!!

go the 23rd after Ohana!!!!

LOL We will try it eventually... I promise. :thumbsup2

I am so in love with that Bambi bag! Bambi is one of my favorite Disney movies. I'm just really glad it doesn't have Flower on as he is my second favorite character after Pluto! When I first saw the flower material sneak peak I thought it might have been him. With just Bambi and Thumper I think I can resist.

Thanks Ariana... I would never make a Flower bag, at least not intententionally - I try not to target other's weaknesses. LOL

Be Our Guest was my favorite meal on my solo trip. So much so that I'm going back again with DH in October! I had the cornish hen and it was delicious. But it was the chocolate cupcake that I'm really going back for. That thing was so good I have dreams about it!!

Thanks for the review! At this time, we are planning to keep it.

That's too bad that Alli's ankle is still bothering her. I hope it starts feeling better soon.

Me too... I will do an update below.

ETA that I just sent a picture of the Bambi bag to my Mom. She wrote back and asked why Thumper was mad. I didn't even tell her he was supposed to be so she picked up on that right away!

LOL... Oh good... I debated LONG and hard about doing a happy or mad Thumper, but I just love that scene where he gets irritated - LOL So, I went out on a limb and I did mad.

While the menu at BOG didn't impress me, it turned out to be a wonderful experience and one of our most treasured memories. It sounds like your plans are really coming together! Time for a countdown!

Thanks Ruth - I appreciate the review!

Your new bag is beautiful! Nothing better than Bambi and Thumper! Ruth

Thanks Ruth! So happy to hear from you... How are you doing? My prayers and hugs continue for you.

Great job!

I am super excited that they are coming together, I was really starting to get nervous that we weren't going to go, because airfare was soooo expensive. And thank you for all the compliments.

The Bambi bag is so cute! I never would have guessed! I'm so sorry that Alli's ankle isn't healing fast enough for her, but hopefully she will take it a little easy. I know that's so hard to do when you just want to go go go!

Thanks! I will do an Alli ankle update below.

Actually - I hadn't mentioned it, but you are totally right, I didn't realize until I looked over our newest calendar, that we had 2 Tusker House breakfasts - which is what we want, but when it came down to it, we could have lost one of them and been fine. Now that we've saved so much on the resort, we can keep the dining plan, and keep all of our original ADRs too. WHOOT!!

YES!!!!!!!!!!

Enought dancing and jumping i am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy for you!!!

THanks! I am still UBER excited!!!

That's great news

Thanks Lillian!

Yay! That is so awesome D! I'm sure the girls will be fine with it....they love FQ. And they will be very much happy when they get a seat on the bus everyday

You are right - I will update with their reactions below... but that was one of my BIGGEST concerns with POR.

.....and if I remember correctly, the ONLY reason they wanted to stay at POR as opposed to POFQ was for the Hot Guys....they can always ride over there to see them!
Nini

You are so right Nini... Hopefully there will be some HOT GUYS at FQ when we get there.

First off - WHOOT for saving 900 & the girls will just have to ogle the cute boys some other time.

Thanks and LOL

Secondly - I'm not a huge Bambi fan but that Thumper pouch is cracking me up.

Thanks... One of the hardest things with hand applique - I think - is expression... Sometimes I get it, and sometimes I don't, but I do strive for it. I am glad that everyone can see it, because I wasn't sure how appearant it was.

Thirdly - OMG!!! RuthIE, you feeling alright? Should we be concerned that the PT is wearing you out? Seriously, though, DH and I have gone to Typhoon Lagoon and LOVED it and I am not a waterpark kinda gal. I'd second a meet at the H2O parks...and besides, who knows what kind of antics RuthIE can get up to there.

LOL... You should ask me if I am alright after I fell out of my chair reading her reply yesterday. :rotfl2: I am seriously considering her offer... I will talk it over with the girls - but I already know what they are going to say...

Fourthly - Ali needs to learn that those crutches and sitting are her friends now, rather than limping around the parks later. Maybe if you drop the WDW bomb, that might get her thinking.

I know - I plan to do an ALli update below.

Finally - Sewing for the win!! I have to get into my room tonight, for mental health if nothing else. and I might have some new applique designs to try on the new toy. I'm really curious about the custom that has you scared. I'm hoping you designed a super scary design, not that the process is scaring you.

I hope you got a chance to get in your sewing room yesterday to play with your new toy... Does it have a name yet?

It's not a scary design... :scared:

D if Allison's ankle isn't better take her back to the doctor and have them x-ray again. It is possible it my be broken and didn't show on the initial x-ray if it was too swollen. Also even with a sprain if she isn't resting it properly they may insist on a splint or cast or even a boot. Maybe call the dr and speak to them about your concerns.

WOO HOO on saving so much.

Thanks Chiara... I will do an Alli update below.

I am sure the girls will get over not staying in the Royal Rooms because $900 is a HUGE savings. So cool that you were able to get the discount for your new days.

Thanks for your thoughts on BoG... I have not heard from Cheryl at all... :sad2:

YAY for getting your airiline tix. HOORAY! for getting POFQ with the discount!!
Sorry Alli is still not better. That bruise sounds disgusting. Poor kid.
I'm not a huge Bambi lover, but that set is adorable! I totally get the ice skating vibe once you mentioned it. very cute

Thanks Dee... Super happy about our trip being FINAL!!! Whoot!

I will do an Alli update below.

And thanks for the compliments on the bag. :)

Finally caught up again.

Soooooo excited for your trip news!!!! Awesome that the airline is now booked and you got your pofq with military discount!!! Now your trip is official, yeah!!!!

Thanks!!! I am super excited that it's so official!

I also recently booked the airline, and just in time, as prices went back up. However if I would have booked a week earlier, it was a little cheaper than what I got. Now I'm purchasing my gift cards, several at a time too.

I have not been purchasing GCs like I should be... I am kicking it in high gear now though. I have the $$ set aside for them, I just need to purchase. I don't like to do the bulk of them until less than 90 days before our trip ends, because if something happens, then I can't return them for a refund. I know - kind of dumb, but I hate to lock up the bulk of my $$. Usually at 60 days out, I do the most of my purchasing.

Yay for the time off to spend with the princess.

Loved both bags!!! The castle one is very pretty. And the Bambi one is just precious!!!! Perfection!

Thank you!

Yikes... That sounds awful! I plan to do an update below.

Wow! First of all, great job on the latest bag and wallet!!

Thanks Lois!

Then, how cool to have your tickets and finalize your dates and plans.

I know - it is such a relief!

Then, how much cooler to get POFQ!!! Now THAT'S something to celebrate! And I guess saving $900 is pretty great too.

I know - I am still doing the happy dance - I cannot believe it!

Oh, I guess that ship sailed a looong time ago Whatever the solution, I hope something gets through to her and she starts taking better care of herself and gets lots better!! I hate that she's hurting!

Thanks Lois... I plan to do an Alli update below.

Thanks for your opinion... Now that we have saved so much on the resort - we can keep all of our ADRs, so BoG is staying. :thumbsup2

I hope I don't get too far behind everything while I'm in Virginia. I'll be staying 7 or 8 days. I always miss Dan so much when he's not there. But I miss my girls and their little ones when I'm not with them. You see my problem.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL trip, and I hope Dan does OK - he is back to feeling better now, right? Please check in when you can, and don't worry about falling behind - enjoy your time with the kids and grandkids.

Thanks! Yah - I just hate the gamble... and with MEA - I am sure they don't drop flights often. I hope they drop for you soon.

I don't ususally use credit cards, even if they did save me some $$ on baggage fees... I'd just rather pay for our tickets with cash, then I don't come home with guilt. I could pay them off right away, but I am not very good at that, so... Thanks for the idea though, I will keep that in mind for next time.

Super cute Bambi bag. I'm just in awe...

Thanks!

Can't remember, have you done a Snow White bag? I seem to recall Dopey a while back?

I have done Dopey... Not long ago either. I have not done Snow White... I am not sure why, I just don't "feel" the princesses... Now if someone was to order one - I'd be obligated... LOL

Also, great news about your POFQ discount!

Thanks, super happy about it!

Hopefully your not in the part of the metro getting 6" tonight? If so, hunker down, LOL! The frogs are croaking here, lots of rain, so hopefully we're not getting hit with too much!!! Can't wait for the warm up!

Nope... No snow here... Just rain and dreary... I think - I've barely looked out the window this morning.

That sounds horrible... I hope he healed fine? I will do an Alli update below.

Ugh, iPhone autocorrect... Yay though D~, yay!

LOL - totally understand... I have the same issues.

LOVE the new bag, D.

I will definitely let you know if I love BOG as much when I go in June as I did in December.

Thanks Kathy... And yes, please let me know - I am anxious to hear.

I get what your trying to say. I really need to stop posting when I'm half asleep too since that's where I misread most posts. Right now I'm trying to find a spot to put my sewing machine so I can start something. We're trying to rearrange the living room so I can have a sewing table where I can keep an eye on the kids a the same time. We live in an 1100 sq ft condo so not much space. I'll be sure to share once I do make something.

LOL... Yay for getting your machine out and finding a spot where you can create while the kids play. Awesome! I cannot wait to see what you make!

Saw the new bag and the first thing I did was tag my mom on it!! I don't think she's too happy with me right now. But she loves the bag too so she may be bidding on it!!

LOL... I have to remember to list it.

Glad you got the airfare situation figured out. Sorry it wasn't for the full trip you were wanting but at least you're going.

I know - it is kind of a bummer, but I am convinced that it turned out the way it was supposed to... Too many things fell in to place once we switched.

Yikes... I have done a lot of research on this, and it seems to me that sprains are worse than breaks, in this instance, because they can take years to heal - plus the danger of them healing improperly is quite significant.

Great job on getting all your tasks done!

Thanks! Sometimes it's hard for me to keep going, so I really have to set small mini goals and rewards.

Sounds like you have an awesome TA that she was able to help you save and get you into the other rooms!!

I do - she is the best! She totally indulges all of my Disney obsessive tendencies... I love her!

First, I am going to do an Alli update. I took your advice and I also took BFF's advice and I made another appointment for Alli's ankle today. As of this morning, she is still limping on it, and I am hoping once she hears it from the Dr. (again) that she will STAY OFF OF IT! I honestly hope that they cast her with some sort of cast - even if it's removable. I will let you all know how it goes.

I am still screaming from the roof tops with excitement!!!

I was so nervous about telling the girls about the resort switch... I knew how excited they were about staying in the Royal Rooms... But they surprised me... They are both THRILLED BEYOND BELIEF that we get to stay at our beloved French Quarter again! So, all my nervousness was for nothing.

And Josh was thrilled about the $900+ savings. :thumbsup2

So, this means... Yay - we get to keep all of our ADRs, even though we are over by 2.

The part that the girls are HUGELY upset about is the deletion of the water parks... I just don't know how we are going to squeeze them in... We are going to have to have a trip planning meeting, where I dig out the calendar and tell them to make it work... Because they INSIST on 2 days in MK, 2 days in AK, 1 day in DHS and 1 day in Epcot... And we NEED 2 days off... So, they need to figure out what they are giving up if they want to do the water parks that badly. If they choose to give up 2 park days somewhere, we could purchase the military tickets and save a boat load more $$... But we will see. In the end, we may end up taking Ruthie up on her offer and just squeezing in 1 water park the day we meet up... I just hate adding on the WPF&M for just one day... That's a huge expense for just one time, ya know? :confused3

Hopefully we can come to some sort of agreement or compromise.

To say that I am excited about this trip is an understatement... I am just so thrilled that we got what we wanted - it really made my day, week and month!

I am also so excited because there are several Dismeets I am really looking forward to, it's so fun to be able to go to WDW and "know" people. :cheer2:

Yesterday was a strange day for me... You know, I was scheduled to work at Target... Well, when I got there - I was just punching in and a friend of mine asked what I was doing there... I guess I wasn't on the schedule for yesterday, and I actually worked today. Sigh... So - I have to work at Target again. :crazy2:

So, I spent the day working on the custom order, and the appliques... All the while twisting our trip options in my head.

I hope you all have a wonderful day today! I am still thinking and praying for everyone who needs it, and my continued prayers for those affected in Boston. :grouphug:

D~

im still upset no chef Mickey's

well if you can't get the water park in then WE HAVE TO PLAN A DELLS TRIP! :rotfl:

girls need water. ::yes::

i'm EXCITED FOR YOUUUUU!
Love when plans come together.

D~ Congrates on booking your air! I get up everyday and check for my return flight, it has gone from $278 to $249 and has now been at $280 for about a week. That is a lot for 1 person one-way more than we normally pay for RT. My last two trips I bought the ins thru the airline too.

We use to do long trips 7-10 days but our one coming up and our 2 last year were for 5 nights and 6 days which is just about perfect, plus we do the night before at the airport hotel and in Dec we did a late flight home then stayed overnight at the airport hotel so we could make the drive home refreshed and in the daylight. Your lucky you get the Military discount as I read POFQ was only 5% with the summer discount.
