Your favorite stroller for Disney

We just got back from taking my 7 month old on her first of many trips. We brought our Jeep jogging stroller which was great to wheel around in the parks but so heavy on the buses. We are going back in December when she will be a year old and am looking to get a smaller, lightweight stroller? Anyone have some reasonably priced favorites??

The joggers are a bit cumbersome but for us they are well worth the hassle because they are so easy to push in the parks all week.

For light weight, but still easy to push, I have heard nothing but great things about the Citi Mini. If you could find a used one, you might get a good price, but they are approx. $300/new. You can also rent them from many companies in Orlando.

For a much less expensive option, we've taken our Graco Literider twice, and it was great. It fully reclines, has great storage, a parent tray, snack tray, and really doesn't weigh much. It's basically a smaller lighter travel system type stroller. We had no problems getting it on a bus, or on a team when we stayed offsite.

I love love love my Macleran:). My dd is six and we still use it! Super lightweight folds down to nothing, reclines and shades her from the sun:). I can't say enough goods things about it. Easy on the bus too. It takes up no space at all:)

We last used an umbrella stroller (can't remember the brand). Not sure if you are looking for something along those lines or something a bit more substantial.

I love our Baby Jogger City Mini strollers. Esp the single one for when we take our middle child to her specialist appointments. If she starts to get overwhelmed I can carry her and quickly fold up the stroller in seconds and we're on our way.

I'd probably go with a Citi Mini, with some sort of huge flag on it so that it doens't get confused with the other 6 million :duck: They seem to have gotten SUPER popular the past few years. Or get a Citi Select. It would be a good investment (they have great resale) and if you end up having more kids you can get the second seat.

I just broke down and sold our last "big stroller" (still have a Mac for Disney next year). :guilty: I'm still really sad about it, but DS has decided he is a Big Boy and too Big for a stroller anymore. We did a trial run at a couple of our local amusement parks and the zoo and he was OK. I was super attached to it (BOB rev in mesa orange ) but it was just sitting there looking forlorn. While I would LOVE it for Disney, I can't se myself carting it through the airport and on a plane, and I would be TERRIFIED it would get damaged. So away it went.

I'm showing my Baby Gear obsession on the wrong message board, aren't I? :rotfl:

I've been considering the City Mini, but I'm concerned that I wouldn't be able to handle it if I were alone with the kids and didn't have help. Is it cumbersome to handle if you are holding a baby on the bus? Especially on a packed one without a seat?

The Citi Mini is only 16lbs, and can be pushed one-handed pretty easily (not as easy as my BOB , but it has a WAY smaller footprint than the BOB). It also can be folded and then carried one-handed (I would practice beforehand if you think you might go that route). It also has a really nice canopy, which is important with that strong sun.

Love my city mini stroller! We bought both the single and the double off albeebaby for an awesome price as they were last years models. I wish I would have known about them sooner!

City Mini all the way! Very easy to fold up one handed! There isn't one thing I don't like about the stroller!

We have a Quinny Zapp, and we don't travel anywhere without it. Very easy to maneuver, and most flights will allow it in the cabin. Which pleases me not to see it getting tossed around. It's also bright orange and easy to find.

My main hesitation with the City Mini is that it doesn't stand once folded which I think would be a hassle if I'm holding a sleeping toddler on the bus

Just a suggestion....

Our youngest dd will be 13mo when we go in December. We are also bringing along our Beco Gemini into the parks to carry her on bus rides (planning to have stroller folded, baby in carrier, ready to board), while waiting in line for rides that she is able to ride, and just for when she's tired of being in the stroller. Our 5 and 6 year olds are still little enough that they could easily fit into the City Mini if/when she is not in it, so that's a big plus as well. We also have teenagers who can help carry all the baby "junk" in and out of the parks, so that helps tremendously.

Per recommendation of many here, I'm planning on getting the City Mini on ebay, Amazon, or albeebaby. Those are the cheapest places I've found them, depending on the color you want.

We have a Chicco Liteway. I love the fact that it lays completely flat for sleeping. :0)

I am not 100% sure but I believe the britax b agile which is very similar to the citi mini does stand on its own. My sister has been looking is favoring the britax over the citi mini. Baby gizmo also gave the britax a slight edge over the citi mini as well.

When my daughter was 2, we used a basic umbrella stroller. Perfect for popping her in after each ride and quickly getting her out to get on another. Also so small and easy to take on the monorail or bus if need be. Good luck!

Interesting. I'm going to look into that. Our main stroller is the Britax B-Ready and we LOVE it!

We have the B-Agile and love it! It doesn't stand entirely on its own (it kind of leans to one side or the other), but regardless of which type of stroller you have, you will have to hold onto it on the buses.

We went with the B-Agile over the City Mini after watching a BabyGizmo video comparing the two.
