Given the price of the basic DDP, OOP meals/snacks, and bringing some snacks with us from the grocery store...

4 adults and a 2 (nearly 3 year old) are paying $1310 for 7 days (6 nights) of food!

I've gotten past the shock of what we spend on food at Disney. We'll easily top $3000 for 3 adults, 1 Disney adult (11yo), a 7yo and an infant between the deluxe dining plan, a small grocery delivery to the room, and OOP tips for our 8 day/7 night trip.

Try running your numbers without the basic dining plan. (menus and prices are all listed on allearsnet.com) ..maybe you could save money by not doing the dining plan + OOP meals snacks + bringing food for a grocery store.

Or if it makes you feel better..when you break your expense down by day, you are only paying about $187 per day for all of you (adults) to eat at Disney. At under $50 a day per person, that is a really great deal when you look at the actual prices of the food around the World. ;)
