Who is the most famous person you have ever spotted out an about?

We were at the Cologne Cathedral on a'Rhine River cruise and saw a guy walking by with a guitar under his arm. I thought he was just a street performer (they had a few of those in the square around the cathedral).

When I saw people start to walk up to him I took a 2nd look and saw it was Joe Perry of Aerosmith. They were in town for a concert that night and I guess he walked over after sound check to see the cathedral, just like us other tourists. :D

Once on a lunch break, I went to Subway. When I got in line, I saw a man who looked very familiar. Then I realized it was Richard Roundtree.......Shaft himself! For a moment, I thought about asking for an autograph, but I realized that he just wanted a sandwich. I didn't want to bother him.

He must have seen the look of recognition on my face and we both did the "guy nod" to each other. He seemed relieved that I hadn't pointed him out. He got his sandwich, got in his car (with California plates), got back on the interstate, and headed west.

Famous more like infamous: John Hinkley Jr. at the strip mall near his Moms house during his allowed visits before he was given his total freedom.

When I was a little kid in Pittsburgh, one of the local gas stations was having a promotion. My mom took me down to meet.....Willie Stargell AND Roberto Clemente! They were both autographing and handing out small, black & white pictures of themselves. I was thrilled!

Of course, as often happens when kids grow up, I lost the pictures. 😣 Still, I did meet them!

You know, I hear that Shaft is one bad.... 🤬

Once saw Flava Flav at the old McDonald's at Toronto's Union Station.

(ETA) After the Jays' home opener, we saw former mayor John Tory strolling towards Union Station behind us. He's not internationally famous, but he's certainly a local celeb.

Ran into (literally) Jane Fonda at a Cirque VIP event in Atlanta. Well, actually she ran into me. She was very polite, apologized over and over and asked if I was o.k.

Years ago when I was a teenager my aunt and uncle were picking me up to go stay with them at a hotel in Dallas. Just so happens the Steelers were playing a game and staying at the same hotel. Saw Terry Bradshaw in the lobby, "accidently" knocked on Franco Harris' room door, he answered with nothing but a towel around his waist and ended up having drinks in some rookies room (that was my Aunt's doing, she was a little wild).

John Stamos (x2)
Kobe Bryant
Diane Keaton
Adam Sandler
Dustin Hoffman
Drew Carey
Stevie Wonder (he was on the same plane as we were going from Washington DC to LAX)

Just some local celebrities (weathermen), besides meet and greet type things. Oh! I did see Cathy Rigby at my local airport.

Neil Patrick Harris and his family sat in front of us in It's Tough to be a Bug - the whole row was empty and shortly before it started they showed up escorted by a plaid shirt:)

D. Wayne Lucas (famous horse racing trainer)
Bob Eubanks (host of the Newlywed Game)
Ryan Seacrest
Liza Koshy
Bill O'Reilly - saw him at a hotel bar in Washington DC and he was drunk as a skunk! 🤣

While working at Disney -
Peter Mayhew (walking backstage at MK)
Beyonce (She was there for the Christmas Parade)

Not at Disney -
Hulk Hogan (came into the computer store I was working at in Tampa)
Jon Gruden (and family at Olive Garden here in Tampa)
Manny Pacquiao (I was visiting their theme park Enchanted Kingdom in the Philippines....super nice park by the way)...I'd say he was just walking around, but being a national hero, he had tons of people crowding around to see him

My friend and I spent an entire day at Universal repeatedly running into Grant Imahara from Mythbusters (RIP).

My ex and I spent an entire day at Six Flags Great America running into Dustin Diamond --Screech from Saved by the Bell (also RIP). Then my dad and I ran into him several times in Vegas a couple of years later.

I spieled for Liza Minnelli on Kongfrontation at Universal a few years back. And I would have escorted James Hetfield (Metallica) through the VIP entrance onto the ride, had I not switched shifts with my roommate lol.

I got to meet Anne Rice (RIP) at her home once because her son randomly came home while my friend and I were taking photos outside. He started a lovely conversation with us, and invited us to wait for her to get home. He then introduced us and we had a great time!
