Right before I retired it all his the fan with employees not checking the voice mail on their desk phone or their cell phone, or worse, not even setting it up. Some claimed they didn't have a desk phone number. Boss finally had to issue an ultimatum that if your voicemail on either phone isn't set up and checked, plan on getting a day off without pay.People who won't pick up the phone, especially when it is more efficient and/or possibly the more tactful approach. I am a younger Gen-X'er so maybe that is why I feel this way. But there is a correct tool for each job and sometimes the phone... it is the way.
Edit: I'm not talking about answer possible Spam calls, but rather taking the initiative to make a phone call or answer the phone call.
Well yeah but it goes deeper than that. You can’t have a chill debate with people who deny facts and reality. I think social media and people only watching extreme media channels has caused this.I viewed the subject line a little differently than what has been posted so far.
I have struggled with how the left and right can't get along at all. Both sides are now basically yelling and screaming at each other and how the others viewpoints are so wrong. It really wasn't that long ago we could have a civil debate for the most part and get along.
I agree with that. Do you agree it goes both ways? If it is just one sided only then where does that leave us?Well yeah but it goes deeper than that. And so it goes, this is why there can't be a civil debate. THAT SIDE OMG THEY WATCH THAT CHANNEL Oh and is it YOUR reality and facts? You see, by already denying their argument by stating they don't have your reality and your facts, then they are wrong. That is why civil debate is dead and your post showed that.Well yeah but it goes deeper than that. You can’t have a chill debate with people who deny facts and reality. What has changed? Who is benefitting from the division? What can we do to fix it?I viewed the subject line a little differently than what has been posted so far.

There is a polarization that I began noticing in 1994, but that may have just been when I started noticing politics in the first place. The lunatic fringe on both sides has taken control of the congressional caucasus and are driving agendas that most Americans don't like, but the fringes that are the most vocal and pay the most money really control. What has changed? Who is benefitting from the division? What can we do to fix it?

The people benefitting are the politicians, political parties and those that control the media channels on both sides. The amount of political editorialization that is done on supposedly straight reported news is shocking when you look at it.
I don't think it changes until a viable third party rises up and starts making waves. It will either force the two parties back towards the middle or will usurp them. I would look forward to debating this on the new board.
