I did rent a car, seems after I pay for taxi rides I will save money. What is can be done in Vegas other then gambling and seeing all the hotels? TIA

Most of the hotels have a "What to do in Las Vegas" book that is updated weekly. It gives all kinds of info about places to go and things to do.

It takes a long time to see the hotels..... LOTS of walking involved. There is PLENTY of shopping. Go to Freemont experience at night to see the "show" there. I personally can watch the waters at Bellagio for hours. There is a lovley bar that you can sit outside and watch from - VERY relaxing. Make sure you have breakfast at the Paris buffet - that is a can NOT miss!! We liked just going down for a drink and snack at the hotel bar in the afternoon. The bartenders were very friendly and gave us all sorts of "insider" views. Drive out to the Hoover Dam. We enjoyed the ride as well as the tour. Quite an amazing sight. We were there for 4 days and couldn't fit it all in! ;)

Note that valet parking at the hotel/casinos is free (just tip the guy when he returns up your car), so this will save you a lot of time flitting from place to place.

We walked for days just visiting the different casinos! Also booked a trip to the Hoover Dam - bus tour left from the Flamingo! That was different and broke up the vacation.
