ATTENTION...We seldom report of having eaten too little...has moved!

My new thread can be located here - ~We seldom report of eating too little~ March Edition! Going Live in 3 weeks!

I hope that all of you will join me for the coming editions of my reviews!

Now there is an interesting thought (provided by Thomas Jefferson) and one that is very appropriate in this thread :thumbsup2 How often have you read a dining review where someone opens with "Oh my god we were simply STARVING our whole week at Walt Disney World!"? That being said...

Welcome to my Disney Dining Report! This report will cover the following trips:
May/June 2009
July/Aug 2009
September/Oct 2009
March 2010
Sept/Oct 2010
AND
Dec 2010/Jan 2011!!

That's right! This report will cover my dining reviews for SIX trips! If you look in the Table of Contents you will see links to my Pre-trip posts and to each trip's dining review!

MARCH 2010
March 2010 Planning
March 2010 ADRs/Jaclyn's Dining Review!
Kobe, cake and....caviar?!?! More March Planning!

I'm Tink, I'm 24 and I have done a few Dining Reports in the past, most notably this past August & October. I also seem to be somewhat famous for *this* picture

ry%3D400

At which most people go ::yes:: and then :scared1: when they discover this is NOT Yoshi's Deluxe Platter but our insane first experience with California Grill Sushi that set us back $100 LOL. It was soooo worth it but we've never ordered that much since. Typically we stick to 2 or 3 rolls now.

My DIS-inspirations are MickeyNicki & oybolshoi. :goodvibes Their reports are fun, filled with pictures and great commentary :wave2:

Now for a little bit of background on me. In August of this past year I left my thankless job at Best Buy (which I call Best Cry for their *terrible* treatment of employees) in order to career search. That's right, not job hunt but career search. I'm a University Grad and its about time I started my career.

Well, there was no point in looking before my August 2008 trip. Can you imagine that "Oh thank you for hiring me but now I'll be leaving for 2 weeks!" I'm pretty sure I'd get this :wave2: but minus the sweet little smile.

After I returned from my glorious 2 weeks in the "sun" *cough*TropicalStormFay*cough* I started looking, but not too seriously as I was going to be returning to the House of Mouse just 6 weeks later.

On my October 2008 trip I also attended Unleash the Power Within, a fantastic event hosted by Anthony Robbins! VERY long story short, I walked across 12 feet of 1500-2000 degree hot coals :scared: (if you guys want to know more I'll gladly add the story :goodvibes )

Once I accomplished that I went home figuring I could do ANYTHING!

In fact, the very next day I got a call to my cell phone offering me a job interview at a HUGE law firm in Toronto. The position? A WRITER!!

OMG! This is really and truly my dream position. I interviewed and made it all the way to the Final round only to be told they went with a candidate with more experience. I was SO dejected!

I forced myself to career hunted for November.......and December.....and well...I got NADDA.

I swore to myself on New Years Eve that 2009 would be my year....and in the 2nd week of January....

pixiedust: THE LAWFIRM CALLED! The first candidate hadn't worked out and they wanted to meet with me again!

Lo & behold....you are looking at a WRITER, really, truly & professionally :cheer2:

Now I know I've gotten WAY :offtopic: but the is a purpose to this story. Now that I will be writing for a living, and often it may not be what I WANT to write, I've started this report SO early so that I can write about what I love....Disney & Food! :hyper:

I've prattled on long enough about myself  so if anyone is still with me I'll go into...

TRIP BACKGROUND
We were fortunate enough to receive one of the elusive 40% off PIN codes :woohoo: so that was more than enough incentive for us to book our 2009 trip.

Sept 24th - 29th we are booked at the Polynesian in Garden View Concierge and Coronado Springs for 4 nights, Sept 29th - Oct 3rd. Along the way I will also meet up with Belle_373 and her DBF!

CAST

:tinker: Tink (Me): I'm 23 (will be 24 by the time the trip rolls around) It will be my 34th trip to WDW and my 3rd stay at the Poly, which is now my favorite resort. I'll be meeting up with one of the best friends r/l, Belle_373 and her DBF for lunch on Sept 25th.

Favorite Park: Epcot
Favorite Rides: Soarin & Impressions de France
Favorite Restaurants: California Grill, Jiko, Kona Cafe, Tokyo Dining
Favorite Snack: Popcorn

:eeyore: DDad: Age withheld as well. It will be his 35th trip to WDW. He is as much a Disney freak as me but hides it better. His favorite part of the trip is the food and spending time at World Showcase. As mentioned above...He is stubborn and perpetually late (like me).

GUEST STARS

princess: Jaclyn (Belle_373): She is 23 and one of my best friends r/l :upsidedow We met in 1st year university and we ended up meeting unexpectedly at WDW in 2005! We were both vacationing and ran into each other at Innoventions! From that point on we became each others DIS-support. Anyone that frequently goes to WDW is used to the "You're going there AGAIN?" so we share our obsession and ignore DIS-haters :cool2: UPDATE: Jaclyn got engaged at WDW in Sept 2009 :lovestruc and I get to be her Maid of Honour at her 2011 Disney Fairytale Wedding!! :woohoo:

pirate: Chris (Belle's DF): He is 26 and also one of my r/l friends. Obviously we know each other through Jaclyn.

It will also be great for water, pop & snacks.

While we wont be utilizing the evening offerings as entire meals, we do intend to stop by around 5pm each evening. So I thought I'd list what the offerings should be each night.

I can't express how excited I am to be staying CL! After getting the 40% off code I discovered that GV wasn't available so I booked LV originally. That came to $1520 for the 5 nights. Then on a whim I looked up what GVCL would cost and discovered it was $1670 TOTAL! A difference of $150?? How could I pass that up??

I promise I'll take TONS & TONS of pictures :goodvibes
