Vero to Key West

I’m just wondering if any of my fellow DVC’er have made the journey from Vero to Key West and can you recommend a cheap motel there? Nothing fancy just a place to crash overnight after a day of sun and probably drinking preferably without bed bugs or other creepy crawlers..lol! Thanks!

It really depends on the time of year what rates you could get. Also, be warned depending on time of day the drive could take you far longer once you reach hwy 1 due to traffic. You could try airbnb, some of the bed/breakfasts. Off hand can't think of cheap hotel, but our favorite is the adult only Cabana Inn.

Key West is probably the prices of the keys. I use Trip Advisor when I want to get a feel for what is available in an area. You could stay on a key just above Key West.

My family stayed at Hawks Key 10years ago, pricey now, but really nice.
