I totally agree with you on the favorite CS place! I got two meals there on my last trip (ate there for dinner and took pizzas on the drive home right after, so I got to have WPE the next day at home!)

Sorry that Artist Point didn't deliver a truly wonderful experience. It seems like the most recent AP reviews haven't been great, which makes me sad, as it's been wonderful every time we've been there over the past two years (our last disappointing meal there was February 2009). On the other hand, I'm glad California Grill was such a hit for you even though our most recent meal wasn't incredible. I looked at the autumn menu and it looks fabulous, so I definitely want to return to CG now after reading about your wonderful experience.

I agree...most of the recent reviews I have been reading of AP haven't been that great and it doesn't make me feel positive about the place. I'm glad to read that you have had wonderful experiences over the past two years.

Lol that's funny about the reverse experiences! We loved California Grill. It just shows the right food and service sure makes the meal. I hope you give CG another chance and have a great time! I look forward to finding out the result

Hi there!

Everything Pop had Halal products but you had to let them know an hour in advance of eating.

As for the sit down restaurants we got in touch with Specialdiets@disneyworld.com and they sent us a form in which we had to list our ADRs. They then sent that onto the chefs who got in touch with us. I have the form somewhere in my emails so if you want me to send it to you PM me your email address and I'll forward it on.

With it being my first DR I wanted to provide as much information as possible - think if I did one again I would also note prices so I could compare in detail if we saved money on the dining plan.

I also wish appetizers were on the dining plan. That's how it was on our '07 trip, our first time using the dining plan. I prefer to have an appetizer rather than dessert (even though I do have a sweet tooth!) It would be really great if you could have your choice of either appetizer OR dessert with your entree... I'd choose an appetizer and make my DH choose a dessert, and then we'd share!

DH and I are thinking about going to WDW in the fall to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary (well, I'm thinking about it... I'll have to work on DH, LOL!) If we do, I'd really like to try some new restaurants... California Grill may just be one of them!

Haha I hope they do add them one day though desserts are more my kind of thing! I agree being able to choose would be helpful but I doubt that'll be happening anytime soon. I like the way you would make DH choose!
