Tim and Lesley's Pre Trip Report- 2007 Vacation:Oh yes, it's Disney time :cool1: WHAT time is it??:confused3
Oh YEAH it's Disney Time:woohoo: !!!!!

Well . . . .isn't it ALWAYS Disney time?!?

The timandlesley crew is gearing up for another fun filled adventure, this time in July. (Ok, update now we are going in June - see last post on pg 8)
It will be (again) myself, my DH and our two little darlings: Luke 6 years old and Lauren (THE princess) 3 years old.
We chose July because it is value season for our FAVORITE resort, Wilderness Lodge. We chose the 12-20th because that is when our AAA agent could find us an available room with the AAA discount. Of course we booked the Magic Your Way plus dining package. We are staying 8 nights and I already have the spray fans because I know July will be hot (as if June wasn't the past two summers), hey, maybe there is less rain in July:confused3 . (again, UPDATE- we are now going in June 14-23rd, had to change b/c of Tim's D.J. business and he had lots of weddings in July. We unfortunately couldn't afford the prices at WL in June so we added a night and are now at POFQ from June 14-23rd for 9 nights)
I SO enjoyed writing my trip report last year (if you haven't checked it out yet, it is in my signature below and has TONS of pictures) and look forward to filling you in on the planning aspect of it to. I plan on taking tons of pics this year too as last year I just used the pics we took and decided to write the trip a few days after we returned on a whim. This year I'll have the report in mind so pics should be at a primepopcorn::

So. .. a little more background on our family before I continue this report and for those of you who didn't read a previous report with that info. ...
Here is another picture of our family:
Photo26-1.jpg

My hubby and I Tim have been married for going on 9 years now  and are both madly in love with everything Disney.(and eachother of course, we have a wonderful marriage and are very blessed)
We honeymooned in Disney, our wedding invitations were Disney Did we have a bride and groom on our cake? Oh no, it was Minnie and Mickey of course. We left the church with ears on our heads and had a GREAT time in Disney. Back then I knew I loved Disney but didn't have the knowledge I did now. We stayed off site at Buena Vista Suites and went to the parks but didn't know the in's and outs, didn't dine in the parks, basically we had a DisneyWorld honeymoon but left out many of what we consider Disney now.
We have had two children along the way, Luke who is now 5 (will be 6 on our trip) and Lauren 3. They are great kids (hey what parent isn't going to say that about their kids). We waited until Luke was 3 and Lauren was 8 months to start taking the yearly trips. Lauren has taken a trip every year since she was 8 months old. (that is her wearing the ears in my avatar, SHE WAS BORN TO WEAR THOSE EARS)
I had an all Disney Christmas this year and Tim bought me tons of framed art to hang up and I LOVE that room!!!!
Now as all of you on this board are, I am a DISNEY NUT (thanks to all of you) and know so much about Disney it is just a known fact about me. I live vacariously through others planning trips. When they tell me that they are going to Disney I sit down with them, help plan their trip, make reservations, price tickets/resorts/packages with them, make their dining reservations for them, etc. I wish there was money in this because I really would make a fortune :goodvibes
I am currently planning a co-workers vacation for her family of 4 who are going over spring break.
Anyway: back to us.
We always have FUN on our trips and I hope you will enjoy our stories and good times.

My two little darlings are Disney obsessed as well: (a pic of them):

And they look forward to our yearly trips.
Luke is THRILLED he is 48 inches tall and will be able to experience Rockin'Roller Coaster with us this year. He went on Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest and Space Mtn with us last year and loved it.

Tim and I plan on retiring to Florida someday and working in Disney, I know this dream will come true for us.:cloud9:
Everytime I see a job fair posted I want to quit our lives up here and run down and apply.
This dream was further implanted in our minds last year when we were Flag Family at the Wilderness Lodge. (here is a pic of us on top of the roof):
Photo122.jpg

The wonderful gentleman giving us the flags and telling us all about Disney said his entire family works for Disney, including his sons and daughters. He had such knowledge of this wonderful place and as we rose each flag he told us the importance of each and I was mesmorized. Here is a pic of him :

So. . ..anyway, Disney is magic to us, as it is to all of you and we are only happy when we are planning for an upcoming trip (o.k., so I do most of the planning)

I have been planning this trip since our feet went outside of the Wilderness Lodge for the final time on the last day of our trip last summer. I tear up every time we leave :sad1:

Our entire family just loves this hotel and considers it home. Last time we were walking in the Lobby Luke looked at me and said "Mommy, I just love the Wilderness Lodge, they treat us so nice here"
Here is a pic of Luke and Lauren in the lobby last trip (beautiful place):

So, I will have fun sharing my planning with you, dining plans, awaiting doing our taxes to see how much Disney money we will have if we need to upgrade/downgrade rooms, etc. airfare, etc. etc. I hope you will join us and have some fun.
Here's a big thumbs up from my little man (riding in the front of the monorail), assuring you this will be a fun ride :

So buckle up. . .it is going to be fun :cool1:
More later. .. . .
Lesley

Yay, another report coming up soon. I loved your last one.
Can't wait to read more.

So glad you are enjoying it. I TRULY enjoy writing, makes me feel like I am experiencing Disney in some way shape or form, so thanks so much for reading!
Lesley

Oh, I can hardly wait. We won't go again any time soon, so it is so much fun to be along for the ride with you. My DH isn't much of a Disney fan. (I know the shame of it :sad2: )He had a great time in October, and so did the kids. There are just other places he wants to see like the Grand Canyon, London, California, etc. So I will plan some trips for him since he came along with us.

O.K., here is a real-time update for you.
I teach full time and teach part time for University of Phoenix online.:teacher: That is our income to pay extra bills and allows Tim to run a home DJ business and DVD slideshow business and stay home and take care of our little darlings.
Anyway, I was just scheduled for a ton of courses this month and was all excited about the extra cash so we went out to dinner tonight, loving life. Well, came home tonight to an email from a scheduler that one of the higher paying courses was cancelled. :scared1: .
I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!!!! If I could take back tonight and the extra spending and dinner Iw ould. Now I have to run so I can try and figure out bills. I need a group hug :grouphug:
The good news is I got one of my W2's today from school so hopefully that refund will still get us to Disney and more importantly the Wilderness Lodge.
I'll keep ya posted.

Lesley,
I am so sorry to hear the news about the course being cancelled! I am hoping that things go your way and that there will be another door opened for you and your family!:wizard:
Please keep us posted!:grouphug:

Sorry to hear about the class cancelling. I feel for you. My husband owns his own 18 wheeler and his truck just went in the repair shop today. Just when we started putting extra money back for our upcoming trip in June.

Hope it gets better!

:goodvibes Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I know the Lord always provides for us and he will again

Lesley

Lesley,
I loved your trip report and know I will love the next one. Everything will work out and your family will have a wonderful vacation I am sure.

Lesley,
Sorry to hear about the cancellation. It'll work out, it always does when it comes to a Disney trip.
I feel like I should know you. I have 2 kids (both boys). I've been married to my husband for 21 years now. We honeymooned at Disney's Campground in 85. Didn't see much of Disney that trip, too busy watching tv :rotfl2: . When our 15 year old was 1 (Christmas Day baby) we took him for his first Disney experience. He has been every year since. When he was little we would go 1 or 2 times a year. When his brother was born it was once a year for a while. In the past 3 years, we've been 5-6 times a year. We are obsessed with WDW. We've been to DL but prefer WDW by far.
I hope everthing works out for you and you get to have a great trip.:wizard:

I SO enjoyed reading your trip report last year! We had our first family trip at the WL in June '05 and will be back at VWL this June! We can't wait! We LOVE the WL!
Julie

Lesley,

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Sorry about the class cancellation. Maybe it is to make room for a bigger and better opportunity? ;) The Lord works in mysterious ways. Just think that you got to spend some wonderful time with your wonderful, thoughtful, DH (I know he is all those things from your previous trip report;) ) and you made good memories.

Thanks, I know, maybe the Lord knew I would be too busy with that extra course... . I'll tell Tim you think he is wonderful and thoughtful, you will make his day (he is pretty great isn't he  ). I will enjoy the extra time with him!
Thanks!
Lesley

O.K., so I still need ONE more tax item (our second mortgage tax info) but I went ahead and started Turbo tax and inputted everything today and WE HAVE ENOUGH!!!! I had a figure in mind that would pay our homeowners insurance, homeowners association dues, neighborhood pool dues, airfare and the portfion of our Disney package left unpaid, IT COVERS ALL OF THAT AND LEAVE 93 DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1: :woohoo:
MAN am I having a great day or what.
Now planning can go FULL SPEED AHEAD. :cheer2:

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!! DH is sound asleep right now so I can't tell him. His best friend's wife went into labor last night and he went to the hospital at 9:00 last night and there were complications, anyway, long story short they ended up doing a c-section at 10:30 this a.m. The kids and I ran up to the hospital this morning and Tim and I got to hold the baby (precious baby girl- their first child) and Tim came home around noon and went right to bed. Hope he sleeps until tomorrow. CAN'T WAIT TO TELL HIM THE GREAT NEWS!!!!! He'll go nuts:thumbsup2

Well, now that planning is officially going to happen at WL I have some work to do, I'll share those details with you. For now I'm on the lookout for some great airfare rates from Cincy, Indianapolis, or Dayton for our dates, WISH ME LUCK!
Until later. . . . . .
Lesley
