FINAL DAY page 154: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1329902&page=154 Tim and Lesley's Pre Trip Report- 2007 Vacation:Oh yes, it's Disney time WHAT time is it??
Oh YEAH it's Disney Time !!!!!
Well . . . .isn't it ALWAYS Disney time?!?
The timandlesley crew is gearing up for another fun filled adventure, this time in July. (Ok, update now we are going in June - see last post on pg 8)
It will be (again) myself, my DH and our two little darlings: Luke 6 years old and Lauren (THE princess) 3 years old.
We chose July because it is value season for our FAVORITE resort, Wilderness Lodge. We chose the 12-20th because that is when our AAA agent could find us an available room with the AAA discount. Of course we booked the Magic Your Way plus dining package. We are staying 8 nights and I already have the spray fans because I know July will be hot (as if June wasn't the past two summers), hey, maybe there is less rain in July . (again, UPDATE- we are now going in June 14-23rd, had to change b/c of Tim's D.J. business and he had lots of weddings in July. We unfortunately couldn't afford the prices at WL in June so we added a night and are now at POFQ from June 14-23rd for 9 nights)
I SO enjoyed writing my trip report last year (if you haven't checked it out yet, it is in my signature below and has TONS of pictures) and look forward to filling you in on the planning aspect of it to. I plan on taking tons of pics this year too as last year I just used the pics we took and decided to write the trip a few days after we returned on a whim. This year I'll have the report in mind so pics should be at a prime
So. .. a little more background on our family before I continue this report and for those of you who didn't read a previous report with that info. ...
Here is another picture of our family:
My hubby and I Tim have been married for going on 9 years now and are both madly in love with everything Disney.(and eachother of course, we have a wonderful marriage and are very blessed)
We honeymooned in Disney, our wedding invitations were Disney Did we have a bride and groom on our cake? Oh no, it was Minnie and Mickey of course. We left the church with ears on our heads and had a GREAT time in Disney. Back then I knew I loved Disney but didn't have the knowledge I did now. We stayed off site at Buena Vista Suites and went to the parks but didn't know the in's and outs, didn't dine in the parks, basically we had a DisneyWorld honeymoon but left out many of what we consider Disney now.
We have had two children along the way, Luke who is now 5 (will be 6 on our trip) and Lauren 3. They are great kids (hey what parent isn't going to say that about their kids). We waited until Luke was 3 and Lauren was 8 months to start taking the yearly trips. Lauren has taken a trip every year since she was 8 months old. (that is her wearing the ears in my avatar, SHE WAS BORN TO WEAR THOSE EARS)
I had an all Disney Christmas this year and Tim bought me tons of framed art to hang up and I LOVE that room!!!!
Now as all of you on this board are, I am a DISNEY NUT (thanks to all of you) and know so much about Disney it is just a known fact about me. I live vacariously through others planning trips. When they tell me that they are going to Disney I sit down with them, help plan their trip, make reservations, price tickets/resorts/packages with them, make their dining reservations for them, etc. I wish there was money in this because I really would make a fortune
I am currently planning a co-workers vacation for her family of 4 who are going over spring break.
Anyway: back to us.
We always have FUN on our trips and I hope you will enjoy our stories and good times.
Pic of Tim and the kids waiting for Philarmagic last summer:
Here is a pic of Tim letting loose at Chef Mickey's last year
My two little darlings are Disney obsessed as well: (a pic of them):
And they look forward to our yearly trips.
Luke is THRILLED he is 48 inches tall and will be able to experience Rockin'Roller Coaster with us this year. He went on Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest and Space Mtn with us last year and loved it.
Tim and I plan on retiring to Florida someday and working in Disney, I know this dream will come true for us.
Everytime I see a job fair posted I want to quit our lives up here and run down and apply.
This dream was further implanted in our minds last year when we were Flag Family at the Wilderness Lodge. (here is a pic of us on top of the roof):
The wonderful gentleman giving us the flags and telling us all about Disney said his entire family works for Disney, including his sons and daughters. He had such knowledge of this wonderful place and as we rose each flag he told us the importance of each and I was mesmorized. Here is a pic of him :
So. . ..anyway, Disney is magic to us, as it is to all of you and we are only happy when we are planning for an upcoming trip (o.k., so I do most of the planning)
I have been planning this trip since our feet went outside of the Wilderness Lodge for the final time on the last day of our trip last summer. I tear up every time we leave
Our entire family just loves this hotel and considers it home. Last time we were walking in the Lobby Luke looked at me and said "Mommy, I just love the Wilderness Lodge, they treat us so nice here"
Here is a pic of Luke and Lauren in the lobby last trip (beautiful place):
So, I will have fun sharing my planning with you, dining plans, awaiting doing our taxes to see how much Disney money we will have if we need to upgrade/downgrade rooms, etc. airfare, etc. etc. I hope you will join us and have some fun.
Here's a big thumbs up from my little man (riding in the front of the monorail), assuring you this will be a fun ride :
So buckle up. . .it is going to be fun
More later. .. . .
Lesley
