Yes, you can add a second ticket. If possible, you may want to "move" the current ticket to another profile -- maybe a dummy with your initials or middle name. That is the surest way to keep them from getting mixed up. Alternatively, you will need to stop at Guest Relations or a ticket window and have the shorter ticket prioritized -- THEN CHECK once you enter a park to be sure it took from the right ticket. It is much easier to get that fixed while onsite.

The current 6-day ticket cannot be "removed" but as noted above it can be moved to another profile (and then shifted back). Be sure to move it back before the expiration date or it will disappear from your view. Even if it disappears, the credit can be used towards a future ticket of equal or greater value. Credit will be what WDW charged for that ticket online on the date you purchased it, and you'll need to pay any extra for new dates.
 


I'm sure this has been answered but I can't seem to find the information. Due to DH's injury, we may have to cut down our trip to WDW next week. I now have a 6-day PH which would be more than I need. It's not the cleanest solution, but the easiest thing that I did in a situation like this was:

1) make a dummy profile on my Friends and Family list, and assign the 6 Day PH to that placeholder profile. I literally named mine "Ticket Mule".
2) Put the new 3-4 day ticket on your actual profile, so during the trip you only have that one ticket that could possibly get used
3) after the trip, you can transfer the 6 Day PH back to your own profile

I recommend making note of the ticket number and value for future reference; any details you can note will help (dates, etc.) but the CM should be able to see it regardless. Occasionally folks post that a ticket got "lost" and the CM had to locate it, but that's not very often.

I'm not positive if an unused but expired ticket will disappear immediately or not. But usually in fairly short time after the stated stated valid use window ends.

Ours disappeared about 10 days after the valid use window. I had no idea I could ask for a credit so at the time I didn't ask. Some time later a relative told me that a credit could have been given but by then I had no information such as the ticket numbers because I didn't save anything thinking it was a loss and wanting to not dwell on it. Now I'm wondering if it's worth pursuing but it's been several months.

Wow. Okay. I guess I'll give it a try. The lost tickets total about $1600 for our family.

The key here is “never used.” Partially-used multi-day ticket are gone after expiration. Years ago (PP mentions 2001) tickets never expired and days left on partially-used tickets could be used on a later trip.
 
Has anyone updated the card on their annual pass payment plan mid year? I’m getting a new card and I’m not sure if it’s going to be a hassle to get that updated.
 
I suspect the different responses may directly correspond to how long the phone CM has been with the company. Responses #2 and #3 reflect the more current situation with APs "expiring" if not activated within 1 year of purchase.

#1 is pretty much the right answer, though I think the block-out dates may differ. Here is a calendar of 2024-2025 block-out dates for Gold. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/passes/calendar/gold-annual-pass/
You will not be allowed to "renew" into a Gold pass, however; a year from now when time for renewal rolls around you'll have to renew into a current pass -- I think that will be Sorcerer but you need to meet the qualifications for that AP at the time of renewal.

And be aware that you still need Theme Park Reservations with an AP.
So it sounds like you believe they will not be charged any additional. Is that correct?

For our iffy maybe trip, what happens if we plan to start November 1 at first park day, but due to whatever, we don’t go into park. How does that affect the tickets? Any problem going into parks the day after?
 
I have a couple AP vouchers I bought in 2010, before the DVC gold. I think there was only one annual pass type at the time, included everything and photos too.
I hope GR will know how to handle an Exchange Certificate this old.
On My Disney Experience, it shows it expires Dec 31, 2099.
Has anyone redeemed on this old recently?
I believe I shouldn't have to pay any extra, as these were sold as good for life.
I also had 2 Gold DVC vouchers in my account that I bought in 2018 that have the expiration date far into the future. However, we went on a trip in October 2023 and I was told that if we didn't activate these vouchers by 12/31/23, I would have to pay the difference to turn them into Sorcerer's pass or get a refund of what I paid in 2018. I was saving these vouchers for a few years from now when DH and I would be retired. But, we activated them on our October 2023 trip...

They are vouchers, not tickets. Disney no longer sells the tickets these vouchers were for, so they are no longer valid as is. Price difference to Sorcerer's is crazy and, since you bought yours earlier than I did, you probably would pay even more! I would have gotten a refund had I not used them in 2023.

As to your second question -- that is no problem. Some folks even buy tickets that "start" prior to their actual first park day because the price is lower. As long as the rest of your park days still fall within the ticket's valid use window you are fine. If you would be completely shifting your visit and need the ticket to be valid later, you would need to adjust the start date and pay any difference. But since tickets have a valid use window that is longer than the number of park days, you are probably fine.

yes, there is a 5% restocking fee. If we don't make this trip, we won't be going and not to thread hop, it would seem we need a ticket in order to apply for DAS. Thought this way, we would minimize possible money lost.

Again, yes, would be there for 14 days- 12 "real" days, not counting arrival and departure days. If we got a 9 day ticket. Last trip we did morning park, afternoon rest, evening park, next day resort and repeat. Now I'm thinking maybe do less hours on park days, and on a few rest days run into park for a few hours in the evenings. I love the parks at night.

If we get to resort late afternoon on day one, I don't want to say for sure we'd hit the parks the next day, but again, don't want to say for sure we wouldn't go into a park for a few hours.
