We are staying offsite over Veteran's day weekend with 3 park days (11/11-13). My original plan was to book a campsite for the night of 11/11, but they were unavailable when I tried. I was able to book for 11/10, so I lost one of the days of free parking, but it ended up being more than $20 cheaper for Thursday night than Friday night...net gain (cost $66.38). My plan was never to take advantage of the onsite booking and then cancelling once I was past certain deadlines. My parents will be getting magic bands for the first time, but this is not something that we would have pursued as something with any "value" with the onsite reservation. Nice perk, but not "$13 worth of value" for us. We will be taking advantage of EMH on 11/11 (definitely AM & possibly PM). I don't know what the value of that is, but it definitely helps. We booked FP+ for day 1 at 61 days out, and days 2 and 3 at 60 days out. Frozen Ever After was only available at 7:40 or later for day 2. 7DMT was only available after 4:00 for day 1 (we will be out of MK by then), and it was unavailable for day 3. So if anyone is booking a throwaway just for "good" FP+ access to those 2 rides, I would say that you probably will not have much success. It may be different outside of party season. 60 days of course gives you greater flexibility with what is available, but I don't know that it has much value if this is your sole reason for booking a throwaway. Also, we were unable to get Ohana or CRT reservations at 180 and 181 days out. That availability may also be a seasonal issue. When we get to Orlando, I will attempt to make a bounce back reservation. If successful, this is where the real value is to me. So at the moment, adjusting for parking, we have paid $46.38 for a 7:40 PM Frozen Ever After FP+, greater flexibility for remaining FP+, and 8:00-9:00 AM at MK on 11/11 (at least). To me, that is worth it. Any more than 1 night (to gain greater access to FP+ and dining and assuming there are no cancellations), and this becomes not worth it to me.
