The alarm went off at 8am, I took a quick look outside, and the sun was shining, great!

Linda & I got dressed and went down to get some tea and coffee.
I'm one of those people who have to have a cup of tea or coffee in the morning to get me kick started.
The hotel has a small deli, which opens at 5am and closes about 1am.
After we had had our tea and coffee we all went down to see what delights breakfast had in store, after the meal the night before we were not optimistic.
Well the choice was either some sort of continental breakfast or a full help your self, as much as you can eat buffet breakfast for $5.95 plus tax, plus tip.
We all opted for the buffet. It wasn't bad, but again everything was luke warm and not red hot. It must be something about this hotel, because our waitress was in a really grumpy mood.

We did get one small surprise, Jean got discount on her meal cos she was over 55.
With breakfast over with Linda, Jean and Andrew went back up to the rooms whilst I went to see about changing our rooms.

There was a new face behind the front desk; she was all smiles and good morning,

until I told her the tale about changing rooms.
As soon as I mentioned about changing rooms, she went on the defensive.
"You'll have to speak to the manager Sir as I know nothing about this."
I thought to myself, "Don't these people leave hand over notes at the change of shifts?"
The manager came out from his office, apologised again and told us that we could have two new rooms.
The only problem was we couldn't move into them until 3pm and we had to be out of our rooms by 11am.
I took a deep breath and tried to keep as calm as possible.

I explained to the Manager that I was not prepared to hang around till 3pm as we all wanted to go to the parks.
He suggested that we bring our cases down to the lobby and leave them in the luggage room until we came back from the Parks. Then we would be issued with our new rooms.
I reluctantly agreed to this.
I then asked him if he could keep our passports and money in the hotel safe until we returned from the parks.
He told me that he was unable to do this due to hotel policy.
I took another deep breath and wiped my sweated brow. I think he could tell that I was getting a little hot under the collar.

He then came up with the suggestion that I could use our new rooms safe. I agreed to this.
He then said he would have to get the security guard to take me up to the new room to witness me putting our things in the safe.
I asked the manager why couldn’t we put our luggage into our new room at the same time as we put our things in the safe, after all the room must be empty?
To me, this seemed the logical thing to do. But I guess this manager didn't thing logically!
I left it at that. Anyway I was not going to let this spoil our holiday!
We put our valuables in the safe, took our cases down to the luggage room then went out to catch the Hotel Coach to the Magic Kingdom.
The only problem was that with all the messing around we had missed the coach..ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!

As the next one was in an hour we all went and got a drink and sat around the pool.
I was glad we got rooms overlooking the car park, as it was really really noisy the poolside, the Airtours brochure forgot to mention that the hotel is very close to an extremely busy freeway.

Well the coach finally arrived and we were dropped off at the Magic kingdom Transportation Centre at about 11:15.
We had just missed the Ferryboat so we took the Monorail to the Magic Kingdom. We were soon standing at the bottom of Main Street looking at our map.

It was red hot and the park was very crowded.
We were all very thirsty so we headed of for a drink, that was until I spotted a cart selling Pin's.
We all bought a couple of pins each and I had a chat with a very nice lady who was covered in Pins; she looked a bit like The Pearly Queen from the Rose & Crown.
Well 20mins later and a few dollars lighter we headed down Main Street to get a drink.
After a refreshing drink we headed of for our first ride, which just had to be…
"It's A Small World"!!!!Arghhhh
Well it is one of Jean's all time favourite rides. After that it was Peter Pan then the Pirates.
We then went for something to eat at Cosmic Rays.
After we had eaten we made our way to stake our place for the afternoon parade.
With Jean in the wheelchair we headed for the roped off section at the top of Main Street, right on the Roundabout.
The wheelchair area started to fill up quite fast.
Jean was soon chatting away to the people either side of her.
It was nice just sit back, soak up the sun and watch all what was going on.
We must have waited there for about 90mins.
It was a good job we got there early because they were turning people away from this area as it was full up.
We watched the parade did a few more rides and then headed off on the Monorail to Epcot to see T.O.N and the Fireworks.

EPCOT was really busy as well, I have to say I quite enjoy the atmosphere and buzz when the parks are quite crowded.
We made our way over towards The Rose & Crown. Linda & Jean had good old Fish & Chips, whilst Andrew & I went and grabbed a Burger.
We watched T.O.N and the Fireworks from the roped off Wheelchair viewing area just down from the Rose and Crown, you have a really good view of the fire works from here.
Just make sure you get there early because it does fill up fast.
Also remember this area is for Wheelchair and Handicapped people only.
I have to admit I was'nt too struck on the T.O.N, but it does grow on you.
The Fireworks were magnificent the best yet!

We got back to the Hotel at about 10:30pm.
Linda & Jean went to get Tea & Coffee whilst Andrew & I went to see about getting our new rooms.
I was prepared for another mix up, but surprise surprise they had got their act together and our rooms were ready for us.
We took our cases up to our new rooms had our coffee and then unpacked. We finally got to bed at about 11:30pm.
I went to sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

Lovede your report. I also like the feel of a busy park, but not when I'm in a ride line!!!

Looking forward to hearing about Universal. My hubby and I leave in 2 days and don't know enough about Universal. I think they open at 9am, but I'm wondering if it would be wise to get there a bit early, any ideas?

Jenn

Had to laugh at you were able to use the safe but not leave your luggage - go figure. Thanks for posting!
