Day 1 December 9,2000
After a year and some months of planning this trip the day finally arrives to leave. It has been a hectic week prior to our trip. I had finals to finish up at school, last minute packing, shopping etc and my Christmas party from work was the Friday before we left. I meant to leave at a reasonable hour, but didn't get home until 1am.
The alarm goes off at 7 am precisely as Brenden does every morning and we are showering and getting ready to go to the airport. My dad who opted out of joining us on this trip since he had just been last year, picked us up at 8:15 for a 10:30AM flight.
We check in at the airport and the flight leaves on time. We have a very uneventful flight down to Orlando and land a few minutes early. Sean, Brenden and Diane go to look for our luggage and I head down to National in case there is a line. There is no line and I am back up to the baggage claim area before all of our bags have come out.
We head out to the full size car aisle and decide on a very pretty green malibu. Brenden calls this our Disney car the entire week. We take the south exit and are at Disneyworld in no time.
I head over to the All Star Movies to check in and there is no line there either. I had faxed a room request on Wednesday from work, not expecting much. The very nice girl at the counter says, " I see you requested a Toy Story room, let me see what I can do" She leaves for a minute, comes back and says.." No problem you have room 9963, 3rd floor facing the courtyard". This is exactly what I had requested!! I was shocked since I am in the Travel Industry and have never even heard of faxing the room controller before reading it on these boards.
We decided not to do a Disney park this day since it was already after 3pm. We decide to go to dinner at TGI Fridays and have great service and good food. Then we head over to the Marketplace to do some looking around. We barely make it through the World of Disney before we decide that we are all tired and head back to our room to rest up for Sunday which will be Magic Kingdom Day.

I'm glad you got the room you wanted. :)

I'm looking forward to hearing more about your trip.
