Booked a solo "sanity trip" in September. Just need a chance to get away, do exactly what I want to do when I want to do it without worrying about anything or anyone else. And have had an absolute BALL planning it! I think most things are pretty settled at this point, and I'm so incredibly excited, I just have to share!
Day 1 - arrive @ 8 pm (after a full work day), check into water view at CSR. DxDDP. If I have energy, I'll zip over to MK for Wishes; if not, I'll eat at Las Ventanas (1st time)
Day 2 - sleep in; head to Sanaa for early lunch (1st time). Spend the afternoon at AK, get a henna tattoo. Catch the bus to YC for dinner at Yachtsmans (1st time). If I have energy, head into Epcot for IllumiNations.
Day 3 - RD HS (goal to ride TSMM 3 times!), lunch at 50sPT, one of my favs. Afternoon back at the pool. Return to HS for dinner at HBD, then see Frozen fireworks.
Day 4 – morning options are either hang out at pool or head into Epcot, will decide based on how I feel (oh, I do love how that sounds!); lunch at Tokyo Dining (1st time), then wander WS. Dinner is Flying Fish Chef’s Wine Tasting – I am so incredibly excited about this! I love to cook, and I love to drink wine. To eat fine food while talking with the chefs and drinking their wine pairings – I’ll be in heaven!
Day 5 – BOG breakfast, pre-opening, then do MK; lunch at Kona Café; return for FoF parade and more MK activities/rides; dinner at Narcoossee’s (1st time) and watch Wishes from there. This is the plan if I’m wanting action and lots of crowd watching. (One of my fav things about being in MK is seeing all the young families, watching the kids who have no barriers to letting the magic flow right through them.) But, if I’m feeling like a full day is too much, I’ll cancel one-half of the park day and relax.
Day 6 – RD AK, brunch at TH (1st time), do all the “slow” things at my own pace. When I get tired, I’ll head back to CSR. Dinner is at Citricos (1st time), then I’ll head to Top of the World Lounge (1st time) to see Wishes. Yes, I love fireworks. And all too often, my family wants to leave before they happen. So this trip, lots of fireworks!!
Day 7 – no concrete plans yet. Hope to score CRT for breakfast or lunch (1st visit). Will be catching ME about 3 pm to get to MCO.
So that’s it! My week of escape, so I can return and be back at full throttle! Did I mention I am excited?!?
