I'm a last day packer. I like to have all my washing done. I find that I wear the same clothes mostly, and the stuff that lives in the wardrobe is purely for decoration! Next trip, I'm taking hardly anything coz I'm going to shop for two days straight.

That is absolutely true!!!! Why can't I just take suitcases, with a suitcase inside each and fill them all when I get there That is a fabulous idea

On another note, this time tomorrow we will be on the plane

So, now it's time to take the dog to the kennel and finish packing

Its 12.30am and the alarm is set to go off in 3.5hrs . I was sound alseep when Garden Grocer called to confirm my order

Now I can't go back to sleep, so I had an hours sleep and now about 28 hours door to door where I won't sleep (never sleep on the plane). I'm going to be one tired little aussietravellers when we get to NY. Hopefully I will be able to doze off and get another hour or two's sleep, but it isn't looking good, I'm wide awake!

I hope everybody else going soon has a better nights sleep than I the night before your trip

and I hope you manage to catch up on the missing sleep somewhere along the way. We have 2 sleeps until we leave and I have been having trouble sleeping for weeks and I imagine that's only going to get worse the next 2 !

I ended up nodding off for an hour and then the alarm went off at 4am.
Drama on the way to the airport. We had left home (luckily only about 10 minutes up the road) and I realised that I had left ALL THE MONEY at home!!!! Including travellers cheques and cash . So we turned around and went back, grabbed it and still got to the airport really early.

Sitting at Qantas Club now having breakfast and enjoying the free wifi. We board in about an hour, so another cup of tea and we should be on our way.

I hope that everybody travelling soon has an awesome trip!

Wow aussietravellers what time does your flight leave? Are you going business class to sit in the qantas longue...if so you should be able to get a little shut eye you lucky thing. I am so excited for you I feel like we are all leaving today through your messages, if you kinda get what I am saying? I know I am not making sense........have a wonderful trip enjoy and that is so funny about the money that is something I would so do. Forget the most obvious things. I told DH o.k so we are all packed his reply have you got the passports...oops and of course no travelex card packed either. Note to self on fridge now to remember Sunday.......Wow we will be at the world at the same time.!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh I am so excited I feel sick and I still have four sleeps to go. My stomach has butterflies.....I feel like such a big kid. I just need the next four sleeps to go like NOW. Ms.Shuttergirl isn't it funny we have been counting down for so long then all of a sudden we don't have time for packing it seems to sneak up and then bang so much to do in so little time he he he. Can't wait for school to be over for the kids on friday and then it really will be so close. O.K note to self.....deep breath deep breath.

4 sleeps will go so quickly, have an awesome time if I don't check in before you go. Actually when we arrived in LAX yesterday morning I was surprised how cool it was (not freezing just cool, I was expecting it to be warm )

Aussietravellers, cool in LA? I have noticed the temps have dropped this week. Last week was hot. I'm just looked over at my clothes piles and thinking I may need to do some adjusting in the morning. Can't wait until the morning to get the cases out and actually pack.

I'm so excited/nervous/sleep deprived/delirious it's not even funny!!!! In 12 hours my house will be in chaos!!!!

I totally agree how we wait so long for it to get here and then we're disorganised in the end. It has been extremely difficult being organised though when only DH & I know about the trip. Not long I feel just like a kid on Christmas Eve

Oh Lovinthland, I can't wait to hear how your surprise goes!!!!!!! I'd love to be a fly on the wall watching the children's reaction and I so wish I had the strength to hold in a surprise that long for my own children. I do hope you get a chance to post and tell us but I do expect you will be VERY busy
