My family and I will be having our first stay at the Riviera next summer!

We have a 1BR Preferred view and would love a good fireworks view.

If I'm reviewing the info in this thread correctly, am I correct that we should request a higher floor room ending in 11 or 17?

The rooms ending in 11 and I think 17 SV, not PV. Most fireworks rooms are SV. PV is the back of the resort facing the lake and pools.

This is the map I was looking at from earlier in this thread--is it not accurate? is it only the "inside" facing rooms that are the PV?

The map isn’t coded by views, but by the type of room. But, the PV rooms are the ones facing inward. SV are the ones that are odd numbered and face out toward the parking lots and why they are the ones that get the firwork views.

Now, it is possible that some of those inside facing rooms might have a view of fireworks? I stay SV pretty much every time and have only done PV a handful of times, but facing the lake and pools is what you get when you have a PV room.

Yes rooms ending in 25-71 that are odd you can see a little green line that indicates SV on that attachment so facing parking like like @Sandisw said.

I have pics on posts #175/76 from Room 8617 (1 Bedroom Preferred) overlooking the Skyliner and pond. I don’t see that room listed on the first page under preferred view. You might see some good fireworks from there. We stayed there in December 2020 when there were no fireworks.

Deluxe Studio Standard View room number 8555 from early December 2022. Angling to the left, we can see some of the Epcot fireworks. Straight / slightly angling to the right, the bus stop and east parking lot.

Most of the PV rooms face the pools and CBR. If you can get a room facing the skyliner station, you’ll be able to see fireworks at Epcot.

Yep, many people think some of the SV rooms (the ones on high floors in the west wing, in particular) are misclassified and should be PV. We loved our view of Epcot fireworks from our 1BR SV (8731 - see link on page 1 of this thread)!

Preferred view studio room 8960. Ninth floor. I think the windows to the right and up one floor look into Topolino’s. Lovely view of Caribbean beach. No fireworks. I added some photos of the room itself including coffee set up.

Love this view! We are boing back to WDW in October this year (last visit was in 2010) and booked a deluxe studio preferred view. I saw this room on Touringplans.com and asked the DVC owner to place a request for a west facing view, 9th floor (hopeful to get this room). Did you hear any noise from Topolino Terrace since they are right above this room?

Not the poster you were talking to but I was in a preferred room under topolinos two years ago and could hear chairs moving all night.
